This review refers to the one item I tried via take-out. Since I heard the chef was actually from El Salvador I had to try one of their pupusas; which did not disappoint.
It was one of the best I've ever had, since I discovered what they were (sort of Latin pancake or griddlecake) years ago on trip. This one was mixed with white cheese and Loroco (which is a part of a local flower and a classic item to have blended in). The pupusa came with chopped cabbage and a mild tomato salsa that is more orange than red. Both in little plastic baggies which is super authentic. It was also larger (meaning wider) than most I've tried and so at $4 each they are fairly priced.
Note: Their menu has several Mexican and Italian dishes on it as well, so it covers a nice range of dishes. The chef was trained in Italy, so that would explain the Italian dishes. They have just put up a new large menu in the front window which is a nice improvement from the rain stained ones they had hanging from the front wall of their terrace before that. read more
