Get the croquets. Get the brochetas de solomillo de cerdo. Get the vermu de casero. Just damn, all of those were so satisfying. Especially the croquets de Pollo Kiev. Or the price to. To be honest, I didn't know which was which.
And the brocheta that I got was amazing. It was the one with goat cheese cream stuff. Ugh, so good. A little bit too salty at the end, but I hear that's common in Valencia.
Skip the patatas bravas. They're ok, but not worth it. The lumpia will be hit or miss, but the sauce for it is great--sweet with a little kick to it--definitely more complex than what you usually get in America.
I came in by myself (like a loser) and awkwardly sputtered that I didn't speak Spanish. Luckily, they had a very nice lady who spoke great English with a lovely British accent, who walked me through the menu. Definitely worth hitting up--everything is super cheap! read more
