Arrived! Great open place! Spacious. Safe and clean. I went right up and greeted by worker. Very kind. Order was ready, paid for it with good day wishes! GREAT! Lunchtime! Order split! Chicken Torta 1/2 was WoW! Fresh, Tasty & DELICIOUS! Flavorful & Great! Great amount of chicken too!! Shrimp Cocktail 1/2 was REALLY GREAT too!! Fresh & Flavorful with a great amount of shrimps! Meh. First thing I noticed walking in? Their lights overhead were verrrry bright. Lots of seating. Clean. Service was okay. Food was okay, I expected better since my bf seemed to like it prior to bringing me here. Right off the bat, the Cucumber/Lime drink was not very flavorful... it was missing the lime taste for sure, and watered down? We both weren't a fan. I forgot what tacos he ordered, he enjoyed them. I got 2 asada, and one quesabirria taco (consume extra charge)... the asada was dry to me. I like my meat juicy. The quesabirria was good though, and the consume. Their salsa, red and green, I used both... Not spicy. As of right now, this is as high as I can rate them. We'll see, if there's another visit, if I will have to update for the better or not. read more

My wife and I gave El Flacco a try while the kids were at youth group, partly because one of our favorite Mexican restaurants right near our house recently closed. We were hoping we might find another good local spot, and El Flacco was a really good surprise. I had never tried their taco truck, so I can't compare the two, but they did a great job with the new brick-and-mortar restaurant. The inside is beautiful, there's plenty of seating, and they even have a small meat market and grocery section. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind the place and the food. We tried several tacos--carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas--and they were all excellent. Homemade tortillas, great meat, and just really good tacos that hit the spot. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito because I love a good simple bean and cheese burrito. This one was incredible. The homemade flour tortilla made it. Great flavor and one of those things that is simple but really good when someone does it right. The meal came with chips and salsa, and even the chips were excellent. They had a few different salsas, which we always love, and every one we tried was great. Everything was clean, there were lots of people inside eating, and the entire place had a really good atmosphere. We will definitely be back. There are already several other things on the menu I want to try. I included pictures, although apparently the food was good enough that I forgot I was supposed to take pictures until after I had already eaten some of it! read more

New spot here in the Sunnyside area. Finally tried it and it was delicious. I had their carne asada combo plate. Meat was tasty. Rice and beans were good. Came with salsa on the side and some pico de gallo. The best thing was that the plate comes with 3 handmade tortillas that are made on the spot. Very friendly staff. Great place to do takeout or sit down and eat. Very nice place. Definitely trying them again. read more

Chorizo breakfast burrito is the best in Fresno. Their chorizo is made fresh onsite and its balanced flavor and quality meat is evident. The surprise for me was the red chilaquiles. Me and my bf was craving tacos for a good price and this place kinda just opened. They still had their balloon arch when we pulled up. I like that this place is also a meat market so I assume they have good quality meats for the food. The place has a bunch of tables and chairs for dine in. There is a case of different kinds of meat for sale and they even have a produce section as well as other Ingredients to cook with. They also sell paletas. The menu is giving AI with the pictures. They have a good amount of stuff. I ended up getting three tacos: cabeza, labio (they told me cow lip), and tripas. The tacos are $3-4 depending on what u get. My bf got asada, al pastor and suadero tacos. He also got a asada torta with fries. It's $2 more if u add the fries. I added a al pastor quesadilla. I wanted red sauce. It's only red and green. The tacos my bf got he said were delicious. I love that they have handmade tortillas. It's more softer. My tripas was good but I was disappointed in the labio and cabeza. The taste was fine, it was the amount they gave me!! So my tripas taco had one tortilla and a good amount of crispy tripas. My labio and cabeza had two tortillas each and the filling was so small!! The picture I took makes it look filling cus of the cilantro and onions but that was mainly what was in the taco. Notice the difference with those two tacos filled with veggies compared to my tripas taco filled with more of the tripas. They played me with that one. I think if we dined it, it wouldn't be that way cus if it was I would've definitely complained about that. The meat to tortillas ratio did not match. I ended up not even finishing the whole tortilla. The al pastor quesadilla was really good. And my bf thought the torta was tasty. It was his first time having a torta too. The Red sauce went good with everything and had a tiny tiny kick but it's all good. I would still come back here but I will check my food next time before I leave if I take it to go. read more

The service was good, the place was clean and seems well organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. I got a burrito and a taco, the taco was decent, but not a lot of meat. The burrito was not worth returning for. The size was comparable to a 12oz soda can in diameter and about 1-1/4 comparable in length. (Had one sitting there so that was my reference.). If you're hungry go elsewhere or order 2. As for the fillings...mostly rice, I'd say 60% rice and only 10% meat which is unfortunate coming from a Carniceria. Tried El Flaco in Fresno and I think I found my new taco spot! The wet asada burrito was SO good, super flavorful, and the asada was perfectly cooked and really tender. Definitely a must try! The asada fries were also really good. I personally love that they use melted shredded cheese instead of nacho cheese, which is definitely my preference! Even my toddler loved the asada, which is always a win! And for the picky eaters, they even have chicken nuggets, so there's something for everyone. Everything we tried was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back to enjoy more of their food. El Flaco is officially our new taco spot! I love supporting family-owned restaurants, and this place did not disappoint! read more

I had been a fan of this place prior to Covid and until recently. Good portions were fair for the price. Over the past year alone they have shrunken their portion sizes by 50% and have raised their prices. For this reason I am no longer a customer. Their service isn't the best either. You have to get words out from the cashiers. It's a burden for them to offer basic customer service. I used to recommend this place but not anymore. They have an actual location now so I imagine the prices and portions are worse. That's too bad because I am willing to pay for good food but without the price gauging. Beware. read more

Tacos always have great flavor and so many varieties of meats to choose from. Tripas, suadero and Buche are my fav. Service is friendly and you can always call ahead and place your order. Cool Mexican food spot that also doubles as a carnicería. The asada tacos were delicious especially when paired with the green salsa. The other tacos needed a bit more flavoring but the salsa made up for it. Expect to wait a bit especially during the lunch rush as they are still getting everything ready, but I hope they do well and will be eating here again soon. read more
