Although not the best place that we ate at during our stay, I must say that the local flare of this eatery kept my interest. I had the heuvos, pestcado and patatas frietas, these, although simple, were absolutely fantastic. What proves this is that my father isn't a huge fish fan, and he finished his meal literally to the bones. The locale is fantastic, located on the boardwalk in Chipiona, and dining on the Atlantic in the spring is incredible. The wait staff were great, they were exceptionally friendly and patient ( my Spanish is elementary at best ). I hope that if my children want to see where dad was baptized ( just down the boardwalk ), I would love for them to enjoy this restaurant with me.

The croquetas and zamburinas were good. The steak had a lot of fatty parts and cartilage-y parts which was a let down but it tasted okay. It was recommended to us by the server so we chose it, but I wouldn't at all say it is a star dish. Note: we think the server upsold us on the most expensive things on the menu as it was obvious we were foreigners and had no limits on expenditure. Fine service. Overall a good but generic/unremarkable experience. 60 euros with three beers. Would not return.

Overall, food was good, but nothing to rave about. One thing I wasn't too thrilled about: I paid with a credit card and always select euro for the currency. Our waiter selected dollars for me; this resulted in a 2% commission being charged (called out on the receipt). Sure, small beans. Still didn't appreciate it.
