Rob is the best!…read more When you live in a rural area where Uber is few and far between, you rely on local taxis to take you home after a night out drinking. Hang town taxi makes you feel comfortable because they are decent local people driving you home (or wherever). When you call and the driver says "is that the big blue house with lots of stairs?", that makes you feel special! And then when you get into the car and he remembers you gave him a bottle of Jagermeister 3 years ago when you went home from a white elephant Christmas party!!! That's LOVE!!! Hang town taxi will ALWAYS be my go to whenever I need a ride. And I don't mind waiting when it's a super busy night (like 12:30am January 1). Thank you!

Once you enter the town you quickly realize ubers aren't a thing out here. Thank goodness for Hangtown Taxi. Looked them up in the city yellow pages. Phoned a day ahead to request two separate pick up times. Dispatch was polite and booked us for the requested time slots. Drivers were prompt on both occasions. Town cars were clean and comfortable. Both drivers took credit cards and the transactions were breezy. Only reason I can't give five stars is due to the semi-scary drive to the wedding venue. The driver said it would be faster to take a shortcut through the mountain. I didn't mind taking the long way but he didn't offer- just drove us through this mountain backroad which was super narrow and windy. Long story short, the drive was harder than it should have been and gave me the worst nausea and back pain. Wish the guy would have asked us instead of chosen for us.

Then when it was time to come home he picked us up right outside the baggage claim and got us home safely. This was very cost effective for we didn't need to do a park-n-fly and leave our car for 18 nights, plus since we were so exhausted from a 11 hour flight we didn't have to worry about driving ourselves home for 2 1/2 more hours of travel time. We just relaxed and let him get us safely home, if we drove ourselves we would of had to stay in a hotel and add another day to our trip (more expense) and I don't know about you but I don't sleep well in hotels, especially when all I wanna do is get home to my fur babies. I highly recommend GRASP to get you to and from the airport.

Having limited time and being geographically challenged we decided to hire a driver. Bobby was right on time, provided knowledge about the areas that we were passing and drove very smoothly through winding roads. We felt safe and comfortable and highly recommend utilizing his services for long and short distances.

Nope you basically follow the El Dorado Trail and see people's backyard with the Gran Finale being the Walmart auto service center. Doesn't sound like much, I know. But believe me when I say its quite the memorable ride! Plus the smile on your kid as he waves at the people walking along side the trail makes it worth a thousandfold its price. The trains are loud, old, original, and bumpy! This is what we paid for! A chance to relive the good ole days when our ancestors had it worse than us and had to endure long rides on a bumpy cold train. It sure made me appreciate my heated seats! The staff consists of passionate volunteers who dedicate their entire Sunday morning (perhaps even more,) to keep the train rides running safe and efficient. You're greeted with nothing but smiles and approachable folks eager to share their knowledge of the El Dorado Western Railroad! Ps. This was their first time re-opening after Covid-19. From what I heard they're trying to work their way up to travel further and fuller! Stay-tuned!
