Great service!!!! We book the ride from EDH to SFO on Friday for my mom. He is really experienced and suggests that we need to get out earlier than our plan due to traffic. All in all my mom said the ride was perfect. I would recommend this service to anyone. read more

Based on the many positive reviews, I trusted El Dorado Express to provide a seamless, professional driving service to and from SFO. The trip to the airport was relatively smooth, and during that ride, I asked the owner, Dean, how to prepare for our return pickup. He provided some instructions, and two days before our return, I proactively texted him to confirm. No response. I followed up 24 hours later, and he finally replied, assuring me a driver would text me upon arrival. After an exhausting transatlantic flight, I expected that a reliable resource from El Dorado Express would be ready to pick us up. Instead, we arrived at the international terminal to silence-no message and no instructions! I texted Dean to say we are curbside and need guidance. Over the next 47 minutes, I tried to reach him 6 times by phone, sent 2 texts and even used the website chat feature-no response! At this point, we were stranded at the airport, facing a long 2.5 hour trip home to Folsom with no clear plan. Finally, I received a call from a driver who explained that Dean had outsourced the job to him. The driver, an independent contractor, told us he had been trying to reach us, but Dean had given him the wrong phone number to reach me. The driver showed me his text exchange with El Dorado Express as proof! Like us, the driver was unable to reach Dean, who, as it turned out, was simply sleeping and unavailable. To make matters worse, the car ride was deeply unpleasant due to the driver's overwhelming body odor- an unacceptable experience for a long journey. Since then, I've received no follow-up, no apology, and not even an acknowledgment from Dean. The complete lack of accountability and communication is appalling. I have all the receipts too! Beware. What looks like a reputable company can turn into a nightmare. I cannot recommend El Dorado Express after this experience. read more

I cannot rave enough about the services I received from El Dorado Express. Dean was super accommodating and made me feel safe and secure. He got me to my flight in SF in record time. He is very savvy and knows the roads very well! He bypassed a major accident on the main freeway and got me to the airport 15 minutes early! I highly recommend this transportation service; definitely the best driving and customer service I have ever received! 10/10!! Thank you Dean & El Dorado Express! read more

Easy to work with, on time, reasonable price and nice, comfortable ride. I got a ride to and from SMF. My only problem was that I was not given clear instructions as to where I would be picked up at SMF - only at "arrivals". There is a large space at the arrivals areas and two doors. It would have been nice to know which door area, or gotten a text when they pulled up letting me know where they were. As it was I waited at the wrong spot for about 10-15 minutes. Also the van was marked with another company name - if I hadn't called the office I would t have known that was my ride. That being said I did call the office after 7pm and they called me right back and gave me the info I needed to find my ride. Everything went smoothly from there. I will definitely use El Dorado Express again. read more

The owner texted me today's morning. The screenshot is attached. I would like to clarify my initial review and address the criticism I got from the owner. First, I think that it is perfectly OK to write a review if you have only partial experience or have a problem with getting a service. For example, if you went to a restaurant, made an order and did not receive it for a very long, in my opinion, you have a right to leave the restaurant and describe your experience in a review. You do not need to go to the kitchen or call the chief to clarify what was the problem with your order. Second, I am not a native speaker. I relocated to the USA a few months ago. I have rather well writing skills, but terrible speaking skills. I hesitate to make an appointment via phone, especially if names, addresses and dates are involved. I prefer to use forms and emails, because I can take my time to create a request and understand the response. As the owner can see, my requests were accurate and contained all the needed details (exact time, address, number of people, amount of bags, information on the apartment complex, etc.). When you go to the site, first thing you see is the big banner saying "Save time. Book now", which leads you to the booking form. I assumed that it meant that it was the main way to make a reservation. If the reservation can be done only via the phone, I suggest to disable the form on the site. I did not expect an immediate response. I created the reservation on the site, then waited for 3-5 days. Then, I sent my request once again to their email and waited another 2-3 days before writing the review. If I had received a short reply like "We are fully booked for that time", it would have been perfectly OK. Third, I agree that 1 star is not a proper rate for my experience. I have no terrible experience, just slightly negative. It is why I changed it now to 3 stars, which, to my mind, means neutral or slightly negative experience. If instead of prohibiting me to contact their company ("please don't contact my company again") the owner had explained the situation politely, I would have definitely removed my initial review and would have been glad to use their service in future. read more

El Dorado Express - The reply from the owner. - Airport Shuttles Near Me

I was looking for a reliable shuttle service to take me from San Francisco International Airport to Folsom. I had a terrible experience with the Folsom Lake Express (they showed up 30 minutes late), and I didn't want them to be late for my return trip. After searching for a different service with similar rates and services, I came across El Dorado Express. When I called, the gentleman answering the phone was very knowledgeable, and I felt ready right then and there to proceed with the reservation. When I landed at SFO from an international flight, I got a call right after landing, and the dispatcher instructed me to call back once I was ready for the ride (with customs and baggage claim, it ended up being about an hour afterwards). They directed me to the proper pick-up area, and I was informed that the driver would arrive in a few minutes (he was at the airport, but drivers can't pull up to the pick-up area until the passengers have arrived at the curb). A few minutes later, a van pulled up with a "Folsom Lake Express" logo. I was at this point a bit surprised, especially when the driver gave my name as the customer he was looking for. I confirmed my name and asked nervously if he was with El Dorado Express. He said he was, so I asked why the van said "Folsom Lake Express" on it. He replied that the two companies "help each other out." The driver was great, and I had a fantastic experience overall. To be clear, I also had a fine experience with the driver when I actually used Folsom Lake Express, but my main problem is with their dispatch office and their lack of organization. In my experience, the El Dorado Express dispatch office seemed to be on top of it, despite sending a driver from Folsom Lake Express. As long as El Dorado Express doesn't rely on the Folsom Lake Express dispatch office, their service should be a great option for airport transportation from the Sacramento area. read more

Peace of mind is what I got getting transportation from Dean at El Dorado Express. Timely pick up and safe driving even with the wet roads to Sacramento Airport made getting to my flight a breeze. I'm definitely recommending them to anyone who asks. Excellent service. read more

One of the many good things about El Dorado Express is that they drive safely and not too fast. I feel like with Uber or Lyft, you get much more aggressive drivers, which can make a drive with them feel stressful and unsafe. With El Dorado Express, I feel quite secure that they are not pushing the limits of safety. Other good things include excellent communication, on time pickup, clean newer vehicles, and very nice drivers. It's worth the few extra dollars above Uber/Lyft prices to get all these benefits. read more

Great service!!!! Polite, punctual and professional. The price was fair too. Would recommend to anyone.

Honest and fairly priced service! Prompt, punctual and pleasant driver, Alex! Even though it took as over an hour to go through customs and pickup our luggage, he waited patiently for us! What a blessing to have him drive rather than one of us with 10 hr jet lag! Got us home safe although the Friday night traffic from SFO to Sacramento took about 4 hrs! Thank you so much! You have a customer for life! read more

I have been using El Dorado Express about three times a month for the past two years to book trips for my boss and his clients to and from SF as well as other northern Californian cities. Deyan and Stefan are experienced drivers, professional and their attention to passenger needs goes above and beyond. They are courteous, reliable, and are always on time. They are always quick to respond when I ask them for their availabilty. I don't know what we would do without them! If I could give them ten stars, I would. read more

Super impressed! Used for shuttle to and from SMF airport. Brand new SUV picked us up both times right on time. So reasonably priced with excellent customer service. Will definitely use them again over Super Shuttle or any other car service! Highly recommend!!! read more

All I can say is WOW. A group of us wanted to go wine tasting, and when a brand new highlander pulled up then the driver opened the door we experienced a sense of luxury. Such a courteous driver as halfway through we were like a bunch of tipsy teenagers. This was probably the best car service I have ever experienced! El Dorado Express is the only company to take me, my family, or guests anywhere. They provided an extremely high end experience. read more

These guys are my favorite for getting back and forth from home to Sacramento and San Francisco airports every time I have a business trip or even when I take annual vacations. I've always meant to write a review but never got around to it but I finally just had to. They're a highly professional and friendly service with always nice and new, clean vehicles. Definitely top of the line. None of that strange, smelly cab business nor unpredictability of Uber or Lyft. Not to mention, much more cost effective. Thanks Dean! read more

El Dorado Express is by far the best car/limo service I've coordinated to date. Incredibly timely and helpful. The customer service is top-notch and Dean is incredibly responsive and a joy to work with.
