It is amazing to watch Chicho craft his libations. The epitome of a professional and a perfectionist. He offers classics, but I would recommend his twist on the classics, such as his "perfect" gin and tonic. The infusion of spices was excellent, but not overpowering. His Cuban mojito was far superior to any I have tried. ---- Currently not open on Mondays and Tuesdays ---

The service here is one of a kind! Crafted cocktails that are thoughtful and delicious. I recommend everything! My favorites are the Ling Island Ice Tea and the strawberry Mijito. Don't expect quick service as each drink is specially made for you. Cheers! read more

This place lives up to it's reputation. Chicho very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the White Russian, which comes with whipped cream...not a problem for me. My mom had an old fashion which she loved as well. Prices were better than most of the other bars around here. If you want a delicious cocktail, come here!! read more

I absolutely love this place!!! I been here a few times over the years when I come to Rota and the owner was super friendly and makes excellent drinks, he even hooked us up with snacks and even some extra drinks. We felt very welcome there and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the Rota area. A+++ read more

The best mixed drinks in the world!!!! And I know because I travel it. The Michelin 3 star of mixology. Order the sangria a day in advance. Plan on spending some time here because it's busy and the drinks take a while to make...and you will want to drink a few. Watching Chicho work will amaze you. You won't be disappointed! read more

El Dardo is one of the best cocktail bars in the world. El Chicho (owner) is skilled and professional barman, with wide experience in mixology. He is very meticulous and devoted to his creations, and will go the length of informing the client if the mix has a different mix or alternate ingredient. The cocktails here are extraordinarily impressive, worthy of fitting into top 100 cocktail bars in the world. The drinks will take some time to made, but the wait and prices are worth it. read more

This bar has always been one of my friends favorite places to go. The drinks here are simply amazing. I remember the first time my friend took me here back in '14 and has still left good first impression. The only downside to this bar is that it is a little on the expensive side. However, I think it's well worth it for a few drinks. read more

I visit this place religiously. Chicho is an artist with whatever he makes. I am a gin tonic person and he makes the best out of anywhere that I've been. You may wait 10-15 minutes for a drink if they're busy but it is very worth it. read more

Don Chicho opened El Dardo forty years ago, and as a young sailor here for my first visit to beautiful Rota shortly thereafter, I'm sorry to say I wasn't around long enough to have the pleasure. But now, many years later, after hearing so many great things from friends and coworkers, I have finally made it there. Previous posts have described Chicho as both an artist, and a master mixologist, both very true. It has also been said that he makes everyone feel like a regular, from the moment you walk in the door for the first time, also true. My first drink was a mojito, and it was incredible! On my next visit, having let Chicho know I wanted to try his sangrias, he made a batch for my friends and I the night before, letting the fruit macerate overnight. They were the best I've ever had, by far! His drinks are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to drink. He is a very charming and engaging gentleman, and you will not regret a visit to his fine establishment. Bravo, Don Chicho! read more

I asked for a Margarita (€7), not knowing the price, even though I had asked for a Drinks menu, not available, something I hardly ever do because that is a sure sign that the drinks are expensive. It came in a small glass, maybe 8 ounces, and was filled with ice, having taken maybe three small sips to finish it off, 3-4 ounces of liquid max and extremely weak ... FUBAR! My wife's first choice, the Philly Cheesesteak (€11) was not available, so she decided on the Pulled Pork Sandwich (€9). I wanted the Al Pastor tacos (€1.50), but they were also out, crap, so I ordered two Carnitas (€1.50 each) and two Steak tacos (€2 each). My better half did not like the taste of the pulled pork, but it tasted fine to me. Her french fries were abundant, but were too salty, even for those of us who like salt on our fries. My tacos were on small 'street taco' tortillas with a reasonable amount of meat, but only some onions and radishes, no cilantro. They were actually pretty good, but not filling, so I polished off what was left of my wife's pulled pork sandwich and a few fries. For €1 to €2 a pop, I was not complaining. The service was good once we got seated and the food was decent, but the lack of available options and the price of my itty-bitty margarita would ensure that we do not return any time soon.
