I'm not sure how it normally is when it's not the holiday season, but it was empty when I visited. We were seated immediately, and the server was attentive. There were some Christmas decorations, but even with it, the restaurant seems dated. For the food, I like that their Al Pastor tacos have pineapples and the salsa verde(?) that comes with tacos is a good addition to give it a more citrusy flavor. It's nice that they give the cilantro and onions on the side, so you can add the amount you enjoy onto your tacos. I also like the chips and salsa they start with too; it's a chunky tomato salsa that has a bit of a kick. Their rice is a bit different than other restaurants (it has carrots and peas or something in it?), but it didn't add much to the taste. The meat is cooked and seasoned p well, and they give a good amount of cheese. Everything is priced higher compared to other places though. I'm not sure if it's better quality, and the portion size is about the same, but the food is good all the same.

It was bland, tasteless, no spices and not sure if they forgot or are trying to save money but there was not one shred of cheese on the whole dish. I would have been much better off going to Taco Bell. Even the rice was not cooked right, it was crunchy. The wife said the margarita was watered down kool-aid. The service was also well below par. Server never came back to check until we were done with the meal and were no where to be found during it. I asked for an ice tea and never got it. My water glass was empty half way through the meal never to be refilled. When we were done I asked for the check and it never came. We sat for 10 minutes then finally just got up and went to the window to pay where we waited another 10 minutes before someone came and took my money. This was early Saturday afternoon so it's not like they were swamped. In terms of the inside, the whole place needs a full gutted rehab. Looks maybe late 80's? It had an overall dusty vibe to it, not filthy dirty but not clean either, very dusty and dingy. The booths were old and worn, lots of wear. The bar was not being used with large boxes for storage in plain view. The ceiling tiles were filthy and grimy and need at least replacement. So much potential at this location but they need to just tear the whole thing out and start completely over. Change the overall traffic flow to support the local walk in customer who wants a to go order. Spend some money on a qualified chef to revamp the menu and hire some competent wait staff. Of course, they'll never do any of this so I won't be returning anytime soon, if ever.

No offense but small town Mexican restaurant that's a chain...it is what it is. Sometimes you luck up...most times you don't. So we ordered the guacamole with pico de gallo and that was pretty good. Salsa was ok...I prefer a chunkier salsa and this was pretty watery. The issue came with our entrees. We ordered fajitas and off rip I was like why are they not sizzling? If fajitas come and I can touch the plate...that's a problem. I didn't really say anything initially because who knows...maybe this is the norm for this restaurant. The problem came when I could hear the fajita orders of all the other tables as they passed by. My steak and chicken were dry...I ate a few bites but some pieces were just unbearable. The onions were the best part of the plate. Few bites of beans and rice but I just couldn't do it. Service was fine. I mentioned to my server the issue as he asked if we needed a box. I didn't, because I wasn't going to eat it. He said sorry and that was that. I asked to speak to a manager because I try not to leave a bad review without addressing it first with a manager. I could tell the server's hesitation in wanting to get the manager so I just called it a wash. So here we are. Won't be back but you know...maybe it was just unfortunate that...yea idk. No excuse really. You live and you learn.

There is no ability to order online, so we called the order in. The online menu was massive, yet for the most part, it was easy to navigate. Parking is plentiful since the restaurant is located on HWy 96 in the Publix shopping center. When I picked up the meal, the staff was friendly. Most importantly, our order was not missing anything. The ambiance was relaxed, with plenty of booths, and they also had tables for large groups. There is a small outdoor seating area on the side of the restaurant. Our order included chips and salsa, which we all enjoyed. The salsa was spicy and truly pleased my tastebuds. My husband ordered the shrimp fajitas, which he enjoyed. His meal included plenty of shrimp and veggies. Our son had the Texas fajitas and also enjoyed his meal. They both had enough left over to eat the next day. I had a mystery meal under the mixed section called New! Shrimp House Special. My meal was basically shrimp fajitas on top of soggy rice. The rice was way too mushy to eat, but the rest of my Entree was good. They probably should have put the rice in another container. We will definitely come back and will dine in next time.

After placing our orders, we were later informed that they were out of one of the meats, so they said they would give us more beef to compensate.
