This review is specific to the EL Corte Inglés Zona Gastronómica of their store located near Paseo de La Castellana, Nuevos Ministerios neighborhood. This Corte Inglés was recently renovated and expanded to have a fantastic "gastronomic zone" that has multiple areas dedicated to different areas of Spanish gastronomy (bakery, seafood, wines, etc.) bu also has mini-restaurants offering a variety of speciality dishes (i.e. Imanol Vasque pinxos franchise) with sit-down areas. This is a place to experience and enjoy. The rest of the Corte Inglés are literally floors and layers of high-end boutiques and dedicated areas for clothing, bags, shoes, etc. From international luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, Etro, but also Spanish brands like Purificación García, Emilio Tucci, etc. read more

I love this location of El Corte Inglés. It is much nicer than the more touristy locations in the Madrid Centro. The best thing about this one is the upscale cafe that is found on the ground floor. You can spend a very nice afternoon shopping and eating here. The Nuevos Ministertios Area is a little nicer in general and walking around this area is good for some top notch window shopping! read more

Huge Corte Ingles. they have the best and very diverse clothing brands. 5 floors that isbeasy for you to get lost in. In the 5th floor theres a small restaurant thst you can go in to grab some coffee or a solid meal!. also all major public transportation stop here! read more

El Corte Ingles is the largest department store group in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. The company is headquartered in Madrid and they have stores all around the city. The largest store is at Puerta del Sol. This location is a little more low-keyed. The crowds, however, can get crazy at all of their locations with the annual summer sale. The store has high-end international designer luxury boutiques on the main floor. They also have departments for men, women, children, babies, sporting goods, electronics, books, toys, furniture, and home. My favorite department is the "Gourmet Experience." They have a wonderful wine assortment with Spanish wines and Cavas, Iberian hams and cold meats, Spanish olive oils, smoked paprika, bomba rice, cheese, and other gourmet European products. They also have a variety of nice restaurants and an area to sit and eat which is perfect if you want to grab a quick lunch. There is an office in the basement that will process VAT refunds. This is the biggest El Corte Inglés in Madrid and they sell all the good brands. The store is huge and pretty confusing, it's easy to get lost. Opening hours are great: 10AM - 10PM. For apparel, shoes, cosmetics this is one of the best El Corte Inglés in Madrid. Staff is very unfriendly, like in most stores in Madrid. read more
