This UK department store is so grand and opulent. There are like 5 floors of apparel for men, women and children. Although I didn't make a purchase I am sure a lot of people are buying if they are able to maintain such a large location in the heart of Barcelona. Oh this place is amazing. The grand open architecture gives you a full view of all floors. Loved the business model of using recycled polyester for many of the items. Prices are so reasonable that many customers used large shopping carts for their bargain finds. The jeans were an excellent fit. I found some of the size run big so take advantage of the changing rooms before purchase ,"Probadores". I was also pleased to see many of the items were made in a variety of countries so I could be selective. Don't freak out when you see the 28 cashiers (and that was just on my floor) but it's indicative of just how popular this store has become. There is good traffic control for single item customers and those with the monster carts full of wares. Bring your passport or photo if you want to file for the VAT waiver. read more

My first time shopping at a Primark and OH WOW I was amazed with all the different levels, varieties of clothing/items and how affordable almost everything was! It was super packed during Thanksgiving week but check-out was quite fast with many counters. They also have a wide selection of Disney collaboration items and I wanted to buy everything! I did not buy any clothing coz most I like are not made of good quality material do but they do have a wide selection from sleepwear to tees to jackets! Most people are pulling black baskets on wheels filled with their choices around the different levels! I spent about 1 hr here, just happily browsing and shopping at the home goods. They have cheap home goods that look pretty! Wish I hv luggage space to bring back the cute bath rugs and baskets! read more

This is an amazing 4 story store which is basically a mall with clothes for women, men, children and accessories. It can definately be overwhelming with a lot of people but trust me you will find lots of cute items at affordable prices. I spent like 3hrs here looking floor to floor. They also have elevators on two sides of the floors to make it easier for strollers but there are also escaltors in the middle. I found so many nice toddler and baby clothing that were good quality for a good price. They offer something for everyone and even have a Disney/Harry Potter section for kids and adults with the most adorable shoes. I ended up buying the Minnie rain boots for only 10 euros which was a steal and a lot more haha! I'm from the states and they recently only opened stores in Boston and Chicago which is really far for me since I live in the NW but would love a closer location so I could go all the time. The lines seem long but they go by really fast and they have cashiers on each floor. One of the associates told me about the tax-free shopping option if I had my passport which was awesome! Luckily I had a pic of it on my phone. Save your recipets and scan them at the airport and get your VAT back which is available before and after security. I was able to get 20 euros back and spent it on lunch. I am in love with this store when I first discovered it in Ireland a few years ago and can't believe how huge this location is in the center of Madrid downtown. Its definately a showstopper location and a must see if you're in the area. read more

Primary is an international clothing retailer with a giant store on Gran Via. It almost looks like it could be a mall with several stores inside, but nope, it's all Primark! They have tons of clothes at amazing prices. They also feature stuff for your home. We did end up getting some things from here (or many things, actually) and we are happy with the quality of everything. read more

This was the first time I've stepped into a Primark and WOW I was floored with all the different levels, variety of clothing and how affordable (borderline super cheap) almost everything was! Their selection of Harry Potter and Disney collaboration was vast and I wanted to buy everything for myself and for gifts too. I'm from CA and the only Primarks are in the mid-west to east coast so this was really cool to visit the largest one in continental Europe. The men's section seem to really nail it in the graphic tees department too as there are unique Star Wars, Playstation, and a ton of other franchise shirts that I haven't seen before. I spent 2.5 hrs here happily browsing and shopping! I didn't bring my passport for the tax-free shopping but the line at the airport for VAT was crazy anyway. Plus the prices were already so low I didn't feel like I was missing out on much. If you have the chance, come here to shop! read more

Everywhere I went in Madrid, all I saw were people with bags and bags that had Primark written on it. Since the hotel I was staying at was right across the street, I was able to pop over and see what all the fuss was about. All I have to say is, "Where have you been all my life Primark?" This place is amazing! This place has got you covered: clothing, makeup, luggage, home goods. With floors and floors, expect to spend hours in here. (And this is coming from someone who hates shopping.) One thing I like about this place is organization. Unlike Forever 21, where they just put clothing of similiar style and color on one rack, Primark stocks their shelves like a normal retailer. It's rather shocking considering how massive the place is. Are you a tourist? Be sure to bring your passport so that you can get your tax/VAT refunded when you return to the airport. Also, located in the back of the ground level, you'll be able to find Madrid souvenirs as well. (There's a cute fabric Madrid tote bag that costs only €2) If you're in the area, be sure to stop in. Absolutely love to go to this spot whenever I am in Madrid! This is one of the largest Primarks I have ever been to! Definitely give yourself plenty of time, pack a snack, water, and your patience as you will need it! Primark has five floors of clothing, shoes, accessories, bags, housing items, and so much more! The prices are ridiculously low and you can get so much for so little! The first floor has a mix of make up items and women's and men's clothing. The next floor has women's clothing, suitcases and bags, and accessories such as sunglasses and earrings. The third floor is all women's work clothes and undergardments and lingerie and the next is a mix of men's clothing and shoes. The top floor is returns and exchanges, children's clothing, and housing items. I got all of my towels and linens from here and they lasted a surprisingly long time! For the cost you get a good quality product and this is why I keep coming back! They now have Primarks in the US, so shop on there too!! read more

Not for the faint-hearted! I went alone on a Saturday evening and it was PACKED. Next time I'll assemble a squad so I don't find myself wandering through the shoes in search of a shirt. That being said, the store itself is very cool. If you have ever been to the mall and thought "wow, I wish I could just check everything out at once at the end of my trip" this is the place for you! Even if you are a shopping champion, you may want to go earlier in the day or on a weekday. Oh, and the clothing is very affordable! My brother and I were in Madrid recently and he raved about this store because he went to one in Boston. I had never heard of Primark, but apparently they are the shiznit in the UK and Europe. This location was CRAZY! If this is what a standard Primark store is like, you'd better be ready to fight crowds of people and wait in lines to pay. It reminded me of an H&M, but about 5 times bigger. Yes, they have really inexpensive clothes and accessories, but there were so many people in this store that I got exhausted trying to shop: I wasn't ready for the chaos. The bro was happy with his $5 polo shirt, though, and he probably got some other cheap shirts, but I ended up waiting for him on the sidewalk outside with a few other frazzled people. AMAZING!!! My first ever visit to a Primark! Thank goodness I didn't go to the one in Brooklyn first, it wouldn't have done the chain justice! This place is AWESOME! I was blown away by the prices, quality, quantity and selection of items to choose from. I'd gone with my friend during a layover and thank goodness this location (and many others) offers free WiFi because we'd have had to travel back to the airport separately this place is so large. My only gripe is that I didn't have luggage space to buy all the items I wanted, but next time. When I make my official visit to Madrid I'm bringing spare luggage for the shopping potential. On second thought I'll just buy new luggage here at this Primark! read more

Absolutely adorable but overwhelming store!! Haha I could've spent hours here but luckily had to be somewhere. This place has levels of clothes for women, men, and kids, including a floor of a lot of accessories. You can find some great things here. If you're visiting from the states where we don't have this store (except Boston and somewhere else) do check it out!! I found one of those rubber hot water warmers that come with a fuzzy cover. I've been wanting one for so long, and here they were so casually. Lots of cute things for a great price. Don't hesitate to stop by. It gets very crowded as the day goes on and on weekends. This place is huge! I have never seen a department store arranged on "open" levels like this before. It really is a store for everybody with everything. But note that they specialize in disposable clothes...meaning stuff that you probably wont wear after 1 to years at most. The quality is average to low. There were a lot of families there. Think one stop back to school shopping. I left off one star because the line was long and there were only 4 registers open. This is defiantly one of the biggest and collest Primarks I have ever visited. This place is located in one of the busiest street in Madrid, Gran Vía. I walked there near the metro station, it took about 4-5 minutes. Then I already arrived thisbplace. I walked strange to the area for men clothings. The view inside was just amazing. They got this visual show which played inside the building just caught my attention. It was just brilliant. And the collection was quite new and lots of options. The price of the products was quite similar what I could find in Berlin. But they offer more different style to offer. I did get myself some shorts and shirts at the end.I think, this is cool place to shop. read more

This Primark is HUGE! I have two back home which I enjoy shopping at but this one definitely takes the cake. 5 stories high with the center of the store open with LED graphic displays. You could find everything you could possibly need in here and leave home with just an empty suitcase (which my friend wish she did). There's plenty of "recharge spots" for you to lounge at to recharge your phone and/or your feet from walking around the massive store. There's also a very clean bathroom on the 6th floor (which they call the 5th floor) accessible via the side stairwell/elevator. First time at Primark in Madrid and I received the WORST customer service!. I had about €100 worth of clothes and when I went to pay, a woman named Carolin told me that I need to pay in cash since their debit-processing machines weren't working. I asked her why wasn't anyone told this before standing in a 30 min line. She just laughed and said "it was said over the speakers". Fine, whatever. I rush to an ATM because they only hold your items for 30 minutes. When I returned I saw a woman paying with her debit card. I asked Caroline if the machines worked or not because I just went out of my way to withdraw cash. She said "sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't". I said OK. Obviously I was irritated, but I stayed quiet and waited for her to ring my things up. Then Carolin says (without anything to prompt her) "if you want to have an attitude you can just go to someone else to ring up your things." I was taken aback. I said just do your job. She then proceeds to throw all of my things into the bag like it was trash. It was UNBELIEVABLE! I asked to speak to a manager, and when I explained to her what happened, she tried to disregard everything I said, making excuses like "she was just trying to move fast" but she was not, she literally threw all of my things. Very crowded. Honestly a lot of junk cloths, with a few exceptions. Poor quality on a lot of the merchandise, especially shoes. Fun to take a look, but not worth it if you're looking for something nice. My tip: socks, 2€ t-shirts and cheap underwear for work/hobbies are worth buying. Only one floor is for men, and it's just 3/4 of that floor. And a lot of it is the same. Obviously not a very ethical shop. Child labor/social dumping. I went to Primark looking for room essentials as I had just moved with only two suitcases. They had everything I needed and more. Everything was comfortable and affordable. Everytime I go into the store I find great prices on great items. Their souvenir section is also a great affordable option with items that regular souvenir shops don't have. I love visiting Primark every time I visit Europe. It's like a huge Forever21 with several levels. It can be overwhelming because it's so large and crowded but the clothes are cheap, but the quality is not. It's easy to spend over an hour in the store wandering around. The Gran Via store was extremely crowded but that's probably due to the location, but it was the closest one to our Airbnb. The crowds were daunting but I was determined to shop since it's my favorite clothing store in Europe. Hopefully, they'll open one in Los Angeles one day. read more

I sometimes wonder if primark is a clothing brand with child labour behind it for its ridiculously cheap price. I usually went to their other branch in Plenilunio, a bit farther than this one in Gran Via. It's always a good idea to buy cute little things in Primark, like daily underwear, basic tops, pyjamas heck sometimes even dresses. The design is always on point, so it's always nice to see what's on trend nowadays. The downside however...is the crowd. It is always crowded. So crowded, sometimes you just feels like you need to get out of this place, no matter how badly you need some tank tops. Brace yourself for a hellish queue in fitting room and cashier.
