    Primark on Grand Via
    Evan M.

Primary is an international clothing retailer with a giant store on Gran Via. It almost looks like it could be a mall with several stores inside, but nope, it's all Primark! They have tons of clothes at amazing prices. They also feature stuff for your home. We did end up getting some things from here (or many things, actually) and we are happy with the quality of everything.

This was the first time I've stepped into a Primark and WOW I was floored with all the different levels, variety of clothing and how affordable (borderline super cheap) almost everything was! Their selection of Harry Potter and Disney collaboration was vast and I wanted to buy everything for myself and for gifts too. I'm from CA and the only Primarks are in the mid-west to east coast so this was really cool to visit the largest one in continental Europe. The men's section seem to really nail it in the graphic tees department too as there are unique Star Wars, Playstation, and a ton of other franchise shirts that I haven't seen before. I spent 2.5 hrs here happily browsing and shopping! I didn't bring my passport for the tax-free shopping but the line at the airport for VAT was crazy anyway. Plus the prices were already so low I didn't feel like I was missing out on much. If you have the chance, come here to shop!

Not for the faint-hearted! I went alone on a Saturday evening and it was PACKED. Next time I'll assemble a squad so I don't find myself wandering through the shoes in search of a shirt. That being said, the store itself is very cool. If you have ever been to the mall and thought "wow, I wish I could just check everything out at once at the end of my trip" this is the place for you! Even if you are a shopping champion, you may want to go earlier in the day or on a weekday. Oh, and the clothing is very affordable! It took everything I had not to run through the shoes and buy every single one that caught my eye. The sales racks are a lottery as far as size goes, but you may find the perfect top hidden away in there!

My brother and I were in Madrid recently and he raved about this store because he went to one in Boston. I had never heard of Primark, but apparently they are the shiznit in the UK and Europe. This location was CRAZY! If this is what a standard Primark store is like, you'd better be ready to fight crowds of people and wait in lines to pay. It reminded me of an H&M, but about 5 times bigger. Yes, they have really inexpensive clothes and accessories, but there were so many people in this store that I got exhausted trying to shop: I wasn't ready for the chaos. The bro was happy with his $5 polo shirt, though, and he probably got some other cheap shirts, but I ended up waiting for him on the sidewalk outside with a few other frazzled people. Next time I encounter a Primark, I'll be mentally and physically prepared.

    I like the decoration here

This is defiantly one of the biggest and collest Primarks I have ever visited. This place is located in one of the busiest street in Madrid, Gran Vía. I walked there near the metro station, it took about 4-5 minutes. Then I already arrived thisbplace. I walked strange to the area for men clothings. The view inside was just amazing. They got this visual show which played inside the building just caught my attention. It was just brilliant. And the collection was quite new and lots of options. The price of the products was quite similar what I could find in Berlin. But they offer more different style to offer. I did get myself some shorts and shirts at the end.I think, this is cool place to shop.

This Primark is HUGE! I have two back home which I enjoy shopping at but this one definitely takes the cake. 5 stories high with the center of the store open with LED graphic displays. You could find everything you could possibly need in here and leave home with just an empty suitcase (which my friend wish she did). There's plenty of "recharge spots" for you to lounge at to recharge your phone and/or your feet from walking around the massive store. There's also a very clean bathroom on the 6th floor (which they call the 5th floor) accessible via the side stairwell/elevator. There's a small section of cute and inexpensive Madrid items on the first floor right by the cash registers.

    Poor paper bags.

Very big mall. Mostly for teenagers and low value quality goods. But its a good place to walk around.

This beautiful womens' clothing and accessories and shoe store is drool- worthy in my book. I've…read morebeen in this store (in Madrid and Barcelona) a hundred times but have never dared to try anything on, first, because of the price tag. Yup, it's pricey. Second reason might have more to do with me than with them. I was cut from a friendly cloth and I've worked retail for many years and so I'm critical of the cool and aloof customer service approach. It just bums me out, and sometimes it intimidates me enough so that I don't try on things that I might otherwise buy, if it fits me right, even if it's expensive, You just never know. And, seriously, iciness, in general, is not good for business- that's just common sense. Ok, I'm off my soapbox now. I'll continue with reason three for not trying on/purchasing at Hoss and that's because the clothes are so damn beautiful, delicate, original, chic, sophisticated. AgghHH!!! Sometimes it's just too much going in there because I want everything, it overwhelms, and you know that old saying "All dressed up and nowhere to go" ? That's me. Well, at least for the moment. However, people do get dressed up here more than in the States, in general, at least. People seem to take more pride in their appearance on this side of the pond. Hence, this classy store. The clothes are just stunning. You can find elegant party and cocktail dresses, wedding dresses, work wear, play wear, hip lounging and drinking wear. And, the shoes and the purses and jewelry and accessories.... please!! go in, it's all good. I had a very nice experience at the Fuencarral location this afternoon. The salesperson at the door said hello to me AND smiled. I almost fell over. This was a first for me at Hoss, and my immediate response was to grab the first thing I like and try it on. And she followed me to the dressing room and tended to my requests and gave me her opinion and it was all so beautiful. Really, it just flowed. And, to make matters even more magical- my size fit me- all the way around. Length too, even for my short little american legs. I'm not kidding! The price tag reflects the impeccable fit of the clothing in this store and that, for me, makes shopping most worthwhile. Of course, when the wallet permits.

I made a mistake of not bring a dress for a gala-like event that I had to attend... and this place…read morehad what I was looking for, in the right price range! I bought a beautiful creamy long dress that was recommended to me by a very attentive salesperson, who was not sales-y at all. I am addicted to this store. I am a glutton for punishment…read more I also really want to give it another star, because I think the clothes are very stylish, hip, beautiful, cute, fashion forward, etc....and the quality is better than most of the other women's clothing stores (at this price level) in Spain. The leather products: shoes, boots, purses, belts, accessories, are way cool. The quality is good, but not stellar. You will walk into the store and slowly but surely become overwhelmed by all of the eye candy. Then, you will start to sift around for your size and then you will happily make a b-line for the dressing room. You close the curtain, and that's when the trouble begins. You will try on that blouse or skirt or dress in the size that you've worn your entire adult life but are now realizing that the upper part of that blouse sleeve will start cutting off your circulation within a few minutes and that that waist cut is not going to go up any further than your thighs. It is very disappointing. You flash to the anorexic models on the Hakei website and catalogue, you are reminded of the hungry and unhappy looking girls who work there, and you will realize that the only way you will be able to fit properly into the vast majority of this brand's clothing line is if you cut back to eating half a sandwich and smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. Ok. I may be exaggerating some. In the past year, I've bought numerous pairs of shoes and boots, belts and some blouses. And I am happy with my purchases. But, it's a roll of the dice when it comes to the clothing, really. Unless you are built like a small boy, you are going to be let down many times. And unless you have money to burn, you will quickly realize that the quality does not match the price.
