I've been into this major Spanish department stores in past visits but never really walked around…read moreto look closer at their merchandise. This time we browsed each of the 6+ floors they have and realized they stock a huge selection of fashion, shoes, home items and food goods. I was very impressed at the quality of their goods and the friendly service of all associates in each department. The highlight was visiting their cafe restaurant on the top floor. They had everything from paella, pizza & pasta, Asian, baked goods to desserts. The dining area with its expansive views was worth the visit alone.

Some piles and piles of clothes all over in sections that are not folded. Cant find your size. I had yo go crazy and look from one end to the other. Look under all different kinds of clothes for my size. I hope it's not like that all the time. Great prices and great stuff.

Diagonal Mar is a large shopping centre on Avingua Diagonal in Barcelona. The mall opened in 2001,…read moreand despite being over 20 years old now, parts of the mall still seem modern. The location is good; it is right by the beach, and there is the Hilton Hotel across the way. The mall has three floors, including an outdoor area, which has a number of places to eat, including a Gino's Restaurant, as well as American fast food giants McDonald's and Five Guys. As you enter, you can find more big American brands inside, including Starbucks, Dunkin and Subway. Alcampo (large supermarket), Deichamann, Kiko Milano, Levi's, Primark and Sephora have stores here; there is also a small Nespresso stand. As I was staying at the Hilton Diagonal Mar during my August 2024 trip to Barcelona, I did visit this mall quite often, although it wouldn't be somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit. 3* - I do prefer La Maquinista or the city centre when shopping in Barcelona, as both have specific benefits over Diagonal Mar, but this is one of the few indoor shopping centres within the city, and it certainly is worth a visit on a rare rainy day or if you're looking to visit one of the stores or restaurants located here.

If you're from America looking for some cute stuff to take back home or if you're from Spain trying to find some typical American fashion, you definitely need to check this place out!

El Corte Inglés is a huge department store over 8 floors in Barcelona, yet it is a store dwarfed by…read moreanother branch of El Corte Inglés on the Plaça de Catalunya, also in Barcelona, but moving back to the review in question, this store is impressive mainly down to its size, it feels like a mall in a way with 8 floors and an extra 2 floors of parking. The size of the store can be mixed, in a way it is good as it is slightly smaller than the other branches but still has a good range, and is slightly less busy too, which is a good thing as it means for me, a nicer shopping experience. There is a restaurant on the top floor, known as Floor 5 meanwhile there are two floors after the 0 Floor / Ground called SS and S, the bottom floor "S" has customer services, in this store you can find a lot of things from fashion for men, women and children to a small Dietics supermarket and cosmetics, bags, jewelry, gifts and furniture, the later all being on the -1 / SS floor. The staff around the mall didn't seem too welcoming or friendly or even active in engaging with the customers which is the shame. For me however, this store even with the store guide at the front in english as well as spanish, was just too difficult to navigate and that was a real shame, and although the size of this store is impressive, it is pretty much an average department store in terms of range, and is perhaps too big, which is shocking knowing this is only Barcelona's second largest branch of the chain.

Bulevard Rosa is a small shopping centre in Barcelona, located on the Passeig de Gracia, which is…read moreone of the biggest and more famous shopping streets in the Catalan Capital. I visited here nearly two months ago now, but memories of this shopping centre still are on my mind, it isn't the nicest of shopping centres, the shops tend to be more closed than open, rather than bright and vibrant as one would associate in a UK/US mall or even the CC Diagonal Mall elsewhere in Barcelona. The decor inside feels old and it feels like they haven't done much to make it look modern, so it was more of a place I decided to go in and out, rather than a place to spend more time. There are some shops here such as Mary's and Nespresso but most of the shops here, can be found elsewhere in Barcelona, perhaps within walking distance, so the selection is average, perhaps not even that at most. Overall, there are many malls and many shops in Barcelona, some even nearby and this sadly doesn't offer much in comparison to the others which is a real shame, hence I feel hasn't got anything to offer which stands out to the competition, hence sadly deserving a single one star rating.
