For nearly our entire trip to CDMX, we were plagued by rain, but on this morning, the rain was holding off so we opted to sit in the Backyard's lovely outdoor space. It has great plant content, by the way! Since it was mid-morning, we stuck to brunch. I ordered a breakfast burger, delicious! The slabs of sliced meat were hearty! The most exciting part of my meal was my pumpkin spice latte. Please see my image for reference. They served it in a tiny pumpkin. I'm easily delighted, but this takes the cake. So adorable and even more than that, super warm and comforting. The staff was lovely and we ended our meal just as it began to rain, so perfect timing.

We were two ladies and ordered anyway. OMG! The amount of food was almost gross. Definitely for 3-4 people. We loved the sausage, ribs, brisket but not the pulled pork. Took back to our air bnb and made sandwiches for our bus ride the next day. Service was great except for not being clear about serving size, which should be noted on menu. Kinda pricey for 2.

Mushy accompanying pickles The fries that came with the plate were beneath the meat making them all greasy and wet. Geez. Some disappointing recommendation. Dining companion ordered the pork belly tacos which was told would be 3 tacos. Came in as a plate of tasty almost shredded pork belly that came with a stack of corn tortillas. A real mess trying to make them ourselves into tacos. Was a very expensive meal that made me wish I went elsewhere. They have a great menu and seemingly a good team at work there. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and sat at our table. We reviewed the menu, which was extensive and I had trouble deciding if I was going with the ribs or picañha so the waiter brought out both options on a platter for me to choose from - I ended up going with the ribs which was an excellent choice. We also order the flautas, pinto beans, queso fundido con chorizo and a couple of things. All absolutely delish. The salsas they brought out were also insane. The one with the sautéed onions and sauce? Man I wish I would've asked what it was called because it was damn good. We also ordered a bottle of wine - cab/syrah blend and it was exquisite.
