I had several items to eat, one was the shrimp cocktail, Mexican style, very delicious and then I had the Devil Shrimp, sometimes referred to as Camarones el Diablo. They will prepare to any degree of heat that you want. So, if you are cruising through Progresso, give this place a stop for food or just a drink. Ask for Sergio.

Service is great and the air conditioning is cold. Great Happy Hour with local macro brew specials of $19 pesos (like a dollar) Only con is that they are out of a lot of beer and food on the menu (understandable because the supply chain was disrupted during the pandemic) They should print up a temporary one until they get things back in stock. All in all we liked it, it was a great place to escape the summer heat and grab a cold beer.

What was perhaps the best feature of the place is the excellent waitstaff who are bilingual, who are helpful with making you feel comfortable, who provide charming conversation and tips, and who are generally well trained in hospitality. Such a far cry from the dour and arrogant wait staff typically found in Washington DC restaurants. This is a good place for a quiet escape from the plaza crowd.

It's a…read moreblock off the main road, and is a cute place with lots of flavor and sass in the perfect amounts. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome, and we walked away with great conversations and local recommendations for our trip. We had the bang bang shrimp lettuce cups one night (they were divine), but those dirty martinis was the highlight for me - thanks JB)!
