I went to El Colombiano expecting a decent meal, but the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. Almost no one on staff speaks English, making it nearly impossible to order or ask basic questions. I had to resort to pointing at the menu and using translation apps, which slowed everything down even more. On top of that, the wait times were ridiculously long -- we waited over 45 minutes just to be seated and another 40+ for our food. The workers seemed completely disorganized: orders were mixed up, tables weren't cleared properly, and no one appeared to be in charge or coordinating anything. It felt chaotic the whole time. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else where communication isn't a barrier and service is actually efficient. Definitely not worth it. read more

The service needs to improve. Last night we had server Jennifer. She looks like she is miserable. No smile, no hello- she approached our table and gave us the menu. I asked her what is their best cocktail and she just stared at me and finally answered "margarita." I saw the male waiter walk to the taco restaurant through the front door to get my drink and enter through the back door with my drink. It ended up being a red margarita. Tasted terrible. I could not drink it. Do not bother with their margarita, you will thank me. I did kindly return the drink and she did not charge me which I am grateful for. Jennifer didn't bother offering any water. I had to drink my husband's water throughout my entire meal. We were never offered a refill for his water. She needs training on customer service and she needs to change her lack of enthusiasm. read more

First time at this small Colombian pastry and coffee shop just east of Weston Road. The staff was very friendly and ordered a hot small coffee. The blood sausage in the display case looked very appealing at $4.25 each. The shop displayed alot Colombian theme wall to wall. There are about ten tables to eat inside and a cute two cushioned chairs outside with a small table in the middle. Cool place to hang out and have a coffee and relax. read more

FOOD and SERVICE are AMAZING. Flavors are spot on. Coffee with and without milk were both dynamite. Omelette was fresh and buttery with the freshest ingredients. Pandebono and Pandeyuca were awesome. Chorizo, Morcilla & Chicharron were spot on. Add or change the flavors with lime, the freshest chimichurri or a delicious hot salsa to elevate the experience. Lively music and great ambiance. A superb way to start our day. read more

When we walked in we were nicely greeted and seated immediately. As we were looking, our server, Liliana, was very attentive. She was helpful and kind. She went above and beyond while waiting on our table. She put her full attention on us, as well as the other servers. When we needed the Wi-Fi password it only took an instant before she put it in. Music is great with positive energy everywhere. Food is spot on especially the dessert and treats. I highly highly highly recommend this place. subscribe to StariAria and PartywiththeParks read more

The food was made to order. The staff spoke mostly Spanish but they knew enough English that you could understand. They have an English menu as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The dishes are large!! We ordered way too much food. Our apps were tostones with a small bowl of hot tomatoes with other veggies (excellent), I have never had this sauce before. The areapas were stuffed with shredded beef with cheese, so good and can easily be a meal!! The chicken dish was good, pounded thin cooked on a flat top with sautéd onions. The steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes were forgettable, but the coconut rice was delicious! My bowl of food was very good, it had a ton of food all in one bowl. I had a choice of red or black beans, I love red beans and rice and the food didn't disappoint me. I loved the idea of everything in one bowl. The pork was thin and crispy. I thought the flavors were on point. The prices were very reasonable considering the amount of the food. I would definitely tell you to go and sample their Colombian food. I want to go back to try some other appetizers. read more

Fabulous food, great service, clean restaurant love the soups recommended highly and the prices are affordable are go to place for dinner.

This my mother daughter breakfast must do. Whenever my mom and I decide to getaway for a nice breakfast, we always come to El Colombiano. Their desayuno tranco is huge and perfect to share. We usually upgrade the white arepa for the sweet corn arepa (must do). Service is always amazing and I love their decor. Tip: if you're extra hungry, ask for a pan de bono or cheese bread to start your day off. read more

Pretty nice spot for Colombian food. The red beans definitely have love & effort inherently built in. The chicken has some sort of a pesto-like marinade in it and it makes for an amazing dish. The next time I will go I will ask for it to be grilled though. I also had the Ajiaco soup which had a comfort food feel to it. The fried yuca pieces were so perfectly made that I couldn't imagine a consistency or texture that is better than what was presented to me. I look forward to coming here regularly now and if another 5 visits give me same level experience or better I will definitely move the rating to 4 Update 12/7: Came in for lunch, I asked for the fried fish filet from the special and I received the bone in fried, when they tried to correct it they brought out fish filet but it wasn't fried. I really want to keep this a 5 star review but I can't. read more

I came here out of curiosity and not really necessity. The Pequeña Colombia will always have my heart when it comes to my favorite Colombian restaurant in Weston but I feel that this place has some other things to offer that make me want to return. 1)The portion size is incredibly big Colombia and its cheaper than other places 2)the breakfast menu features Changua which is a delicious breakfast soup not offered in other restaurants that I can't wait to return to try. 3)If your a soup head like me , you can order just the soup without the rice and sides to save some money to order a main dish that will include the rice and sides anyways 4) the service is the nicest of all the Colombian restaurants in Weston In the end La Pequeña Colombia rules supreme but this place is a great place to try some of the dishes not offered at the other places. read more

The food was Prepared very well. My only gripe(s) is the food did not have any flavor at all and was really hard to communicate without some sort of translation App. The employees made it seem like I was in the wrong for not speaking Spanish. I really liked the atmosphere; however, I doubt I will return since there is a communication Bridge. Please was my video Review. https://youtu.be/NRf1QZH-1-Y read more

I came to order a delivery from this restaurant, I haven't visited yet. From the order the empanadas were amazingly great!!!!!kudos I ordered a bandeja paisa, strangely I received small thin steaks I find that strange but as soon as I taste it I will review I will visit this restaurant for my further input read more

My first time trying Columbian food and I would have to say that it was a bit underwhelming at Colombiano. I had the flank steak, which was covered in what appeared to be soup with primarily onion and some peppers. While cutting into it, the meat came out shredded and was difficult to separate. Server told me that it came with three sides, but it actually only came with two. Chose yuca, plantains and mixed vegetables, but only received the yuca and vegetables. I would say the yuca was the tastiest from my meal. Make sure that you speak Spanish, since we had a difficult time understanding one another, when it came to selecting from their menu. read more

Food its good, always have to add a bit of salt to the meat, but I rather do that then to eat salty food. Servers are very nice but easily distracted; they kind of forget things, but again they are super nice and polite. If you want a true colombian restaurant and want to walk out super full without breaking the bank, this is the place to go. What a disappointment, went today for the exact same dish that I reviewed last time and it was horrible it was completely different. It seemed like they boiled the meat and then threw on the grill for some grill marks. Service was extremely slow and every customer in the restaurant was complaining about the inconsistency on the dishes from their last visits. When I tried to explain to the server what was wrong with my dish she started to argue until she noticed I was really upset since she decided to call me a liar. I even showed her a picture (same one posted here) and she still insisted it was the same. Maybe new ownership? Or everybody got fired??? Don't know but Im definitely never going back. read more

DELICIOUS Colombian food. We ordered take out and the food was ready in the time they quoted, the temp was hot, it was packaged perfectly, and BEST of all the taste was AMAZING. I've given this place several chances and my dumb ass keeps trying ... last time I was there I bought torta negra and it had mold starting to grow on it and they tell me it is because they covered them when they were too hot and the condensation made them moldy ... today I come by and buy a bunch and of pandeyucas at 10am and these things are an absolute rock. They are a completely hollow rock. I bring them back in and they tell me they are fresh out of the oven. Why would you sell something that's not edible and then they wanted to exchange them for pandebonos , but we don't like their pandebonos because they are not good. So my only option was to keep them and throw them in the garbage ... absolutely 100% never going back ... and try to talk to them and everyone comes out from the back being defensive. Why would I drive 20 minutes to buy something just so I complain and end up throwing $15 in the garbage. No concept of customer service. Stay away from this poor excuse of a Colombian spot.... read more

Awesome food and service. Food is delicious love it and big quantities. Servers are very nice and friendly

Surrounded by an abundant of Spanish restaurants within the same area lies El Colombiano. But this seemed to be the best out of the worst. Coming here I was greeted right away. I actually thought it was closed to be honest because there wasn't anybody in there. Anyways, food is alright. Nothing too crazy but just mediocre. I ordered the arroz con pollo because it was one of the only things I was able to pronounce without butchering. Just kidding... but I have had it at multiple places! I also tried the churrasco steak. Both meals came with 3 plantains each and a salad. The arroz con pollo was a little disappointing. I didn't like the fact that the pulled chicken was mashed into the rice...it's better when the chicken is on the side as a drum or wing...Which I've had at several Spanish restaurants... On the other hand, the Churrasco steak was a bit too oily to my liking. But it was definitely juicy! The plantains were a bit lackluster and wasn't too sweet... however the salad was a great side. Healthy and nutritious! Service was bueno thoooo can't hate. Will be back for another shot! read more

I enjoyed the bandeja paisa with churrasco, and this may have been one of the best meals of my life. Food for days, all well prepared. All the food in the picture for less than $20! I also enjoyed the cuatro leches, as if tres leches needs caramel. It does. Best part? My wife and I were virtually the only people speaking English. This is a nice looking place tucked away in a strip plaza (a nice one). I stopped in for breakfast and the server was pleasant and did a good job. I had the arepa con huevos y queso.
