Some many great dishes here!!! Fresh Prawns with salt and olive oil, mushrooms with bonito flakes, octopus...all amazing. Hake was only average. Desserts are good too like the egg yolk dish. Would come back.

There's something about going into a restaurant where even though you don't have a reservation they not only find you a table -- but provide you with a waiter who wants to make a personal connection. We were there for lunch on a Thursday and the waiter really spent time explaining what life was like in the area as he brought out each course. We learned of his family -- and by the end of the meal that he had been a soccer goalkeeper. We learned which foods were local options and why no one ate the oranges on the trees in the area when he brought out a plate of orange pieces I could eat. The fish was fresh, the beef was tender, and the sauces were great sides (I liked the green garlic one the best!) Oh and my son scarfed down the entire dessert which looked like a thicker version of flan.

I ordered charred loin steak medium. It came very rare so I sent it back. It came back still rare, pink/red all the way through. I had to send it back again because I couldn't chew it. They brought it back the second time medium well. I'm not sure if European medium is different standard but the waiter was very nice about it and had no issue changing it. My husband ordered beef cheek which was significantly better. See pic below. We enjoyed the sauce and it was a large portion. This place is slightly pricey so I expected a better meal. I'll stick to eating my steaks in Texas :)

Beef and tiny slice off Foe ... For was good, beef was chewy.

Wanted fo love it but it was just blah - we ordered a number of things and they were quite mediocre - probably best thing on the menu was the sanmorejo with eggplant and the ox tail - service in Spain is very slow and relaxed pretty much everywhere you go, not what we are used to in US - not that we are on a rush but had to remind servers to remove empty dishes when we were done with them. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and well decorated, wish the food was a bit better.

Kind of tricky when entering you got to ask for Tapas section/menu. Or they'll take you to their full menu/ac section of the restaurant. We had to ask to get switched over and they didn't seem too happy with it. Once we got the tapas menu, we had steak tartar, tuna tetaki (my favorite), flamenquin, and fried eggplant (really good). 1 less star because the service wasn't great and it felt like they weren't as friendly once they switched us over.

Best meat in town, we order the pork shoulder. The texture was so rich and melted in my mouth. The store offers a variety of of fresh seafood and meat to choose from. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. A pricier than other restaurant ranked 1-10 on yelp but somewhat worth it

I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. The salads is a must try the mix salad and code fish.

Wine list exceptional ! However the local regional wine selection pairs well with food of choice. The selection that was chosen on our last night in Spain was a perfect compliment to what Spain is known for in the interior- meat- pork, lamb, beef with wonderful desserts as the final conclusion to dinner,

Great food, the seafood soup was very tasty and the mixed meat grill for two full of great cuts of meat. Friendly, prompt service by attentive, but not over-attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Decent food and typical Córdoba deco. At the heart of the Jewish quarter. Great service provided by classic gentlemen.

We arrived at exactly 8 pm for our 8 pm reservation, but the glass door was still locked and the…read morestaff inside just glared at us until we walked away. Not a great start. Once inside, the atmosphere was very pleasant, having been seated in a large, open atrium with ornate carved stone walls and doorways. We asked for a large bottle of sparkling water but were told that they only had small bottles at €2.50 a pop. Small bottles mean more profit for the business but are inconvenient and more expensive for customers. We started with a bottle of the Speak of Silence /Extremadura, a dark red wine made with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo grapes. At €22 it was a decent value (average price = €19) with a 4.1 / 5.0 rating on Vivino and rated one of the top 2% of wines in the world. It was good, but I am not sure about the top 2% claim. We ordered and shared several dishes, so I will elaborate here: - Mixed Salad with Tomato Vinaigrette (€6.10): Nothing special, just an overpriced salad - Cordoban Salmorejo (€5.10): A local cold tomato soup emulsified with olive oil, Iberian ham, and egg, it probably would have been better warm or hot. It was tasty, but different, not something I would order again. - Cordoban Flamenquin (€14.75): Another local dish, pork loin stuffed with ham, breaded, and fried. It was good but a bit dry so I dribbled some sauce from the oxtail on top. It would have been better with an accompanying sauce, but then it would not be Cordoban. - Cordoba-style Oxtail (€13.95): Two small knuckles with barely any meat and eight small french fries scattered on top. The sauce was good and what meat that was there tender, but €13.95 for four or five mouthfuls? Definitely NOT a TravelValue. - Solomillo Boletus (€19.25): Iberian pork tenderloin topped with a mushroom sauce, it was delicious, but €20 seems a tad high for a few pieces of pork and a smattering of fries. Our server, Jose Rey, was professional and attentive and we were very pleased with his service. Another thing I did not like was the coercion to submit a 5-star review at the end of the meal. We were handed a card stating Ïf you don't like something, say it here¨but ¨Ïf you liked something, say it outside¨. I tell it like it is, so I do not appreciate being coached on what to submit in my reviews. The meal was good and the experience pleasant, but the few shortfalls we experienced kept me from giving them one of my top ratings. We were pleasantly greeted and offered a seat. We noted that many tables were reserved and we happened to luck out without a reservation which is highly recommended for this prime spot. We enjoyed tapas that specialized in many local traditional dishes. Our server was a champ covering the entire outdoor area while ensuring top service. A great spot to stop for refreshments after sightseeing in the area.
