    Ox tail carpaccio
    Oliver C.

Delicious meal! Came here on a Monday night around 9pm. One of the last seatings at dinner due to a busy lunch time and some items were not on the menu. It looked like they turned away some patrons even though there was seating available. Highlights: the Ox tail carpaccio was super. The duck was tough like Córdoba leather on this evening, but the owner/host took care of it/us. The fish was simmered in olive oil and served with a bit of couscous and vegetables. And I thought next to the Ox tail, the lamb skewers were tender and well prepared as well! I guess the lunch was busy, because the two desserts that looked the most unique/ interesting Pear tiramisu and their Amaltea special cake, we're both sold out. Maybe next time!

It's been several months, but I want to call out this little gem. Our concierge recommended it to us. It's on the river in a light and airy space. Bright colors inside and good food on the menu. Enjoy!

Moscas!!!! F-ing flies were dive bombing the whole lunch. Who lets that go on? Food could have been magnificent, but the flies! Decor was outstandingly late 60s early 70s I asked the waiter about the winged disease vectors and he shrugged and explained that being so close to the river there was nothing he could do.

Incredibly fresh and served with love this place is excellent. The staff are simply kind and warm and the atmosphere is calm and elegant. The music played was also a perfect solace to my soul - soft alternative Indy. The food was outstanding and the location was away from all of the touristy nonsense.

Preface: One of the previous reviews by an Asian reviewer mentioning racism is totally counter to our experience. My wife and I are Asian and felt very welcomed by the waitress at this restaurant on our two visits. Perhaps the reviewer's group failed to make a reservation and were put behind a party with a reservation. Or perhaps they were unlucky to encounter a grumpy waiter. Language and cultural differences can often make for misunderstandings. Review: After two weeks in Spain, we were ready for an alternative to tapas. We found this place for lunch and ate here two days in a row. The food is delicious, fresh, and imaginative with lots of choices for non-meat eating diners. Examples of dishes that we enjoyed include: Hummus with pita bread and purple salad, Green Winter Salad with celery, apples, and cranberries, Pasta with artichokes, arugula, and pine nuts, and Cus-cus with sauteed vegetables. The restaurant is located along the river, just past the Roman Bridge. The décor is bright, colorful, and tasteful. The young waitress was genuinely friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. This was one of the best dining experiences in our 3 week trip to Spain. The only disappointment was that we were told they do not make their dishes for take out when we wanted to order one of their dishes to take back to the hotel with us. However, they will pack any leftovers from your meal for you to take home. Highly recommended, 5 stars.

Fantastic river front restaurant with a great mix of Spanish and Mediterranean tapas and a good variety of vegetarian options too! They were so nice to our large group of 7 adults and 4 kids (thank you!). Highly recommend the lamb kebabs and rice too. Beautiful open space.

Once inside, the atmosphere was very pleasant, having been seated in a large, open atrium with ornate carved stone walls and doorways. We asked for a large bottle of sparkling water but were told that they only had small bottles at €2.50 a pop. Small bottles mean more profit for the business but are inconvenient and more expensive for customers. We started with a bottle of the Speak of Silence /Extremadura, a dark red wine made with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo grapes. At €22 it was a decent value (average price = €19) with a 4.1 / 5.0 rating on Vivino and rated one of the top 2% of wines in the world. It was good, but I am not sure about the top 2% claim. We ordered and shared several dishes, so I will elaborate here: - Mixed Salad with Tomato Vinaigrette (€6.10): Nothing special, just an overpriced salad - Cordoban Salmorejo (€5.10): A local cold tomato soup emulsified with olive oil, Iberian ham, and egg, it probably would have been better warm or hot. It was tasty, but different, not something I would order again. - Cordoban Flamenquin (€14.75): Another local dish, pork loin stuffed with ham, breaded, and fried. It was good but a bit dry so I dribbled some sauce from the oxtail on top. It would have been better with an accompanying sauce, but then it would not be Cordoban. - Cordoba-style Oxtail (€13.95): Two small knuckles with barely any meat and eight small french fries scattered on top. The sauce was good and what meat that was there tender, but €13.95 for four or five mouthfuls? Definitely NOT a TravelValue. - Solomillo Boletus (€19.25): Iberian pork tenderloin topped with a mushroom sauce, it was delicious, but €20 seems a tad high for a few pieces of pork and a smattering of fries. Our server, Jose Rey, was professional and attentive and we were very pleased with his service. Another thing I did not like was the coercion to submit a 5-star review at the end of the meal. We were handed a card stating Ïf you don't like something, say it here¨but ¨Ïf you liked something, say it outside¨. I tell it like it is, so I do not appreciate being coached on what to submit in my reviews. The meal was good and the experience pleasant, but the few shortfalls we experienced kept me from giving them one of my top ratings. We were pleasantly greeted and offered a seat. We noted that many tables were reserved and we happened to luck out without a reservation which is highly recommended for this prime spot.
