Both times I went, I got the Taco Combination Plate (#39) -- it is 3 tacos of whatever meat you want, along with beans & rice. The first night I got all three Asada, and the next day I got one each of Birria, Carnitas, and Pastor. All were very good, but the Pastor was my definite favorite. The beans & rice were very good, as well. It's also great having a Mexican restaurant in Molalla where you can get different "aguas frescas", or horchata -- and their horchata here is excellent. Best Mexican food in Molalla, no question. I expect we will visit often.

You can immediately tell that this is a local favorite. Everyone who came in spoke Spanish. We tried a few tacos, a soup, and the mole enchiladas. We loved how they use freshly made tortillas! Super fresh and fluffy. For the tacos, I liked the Asada the best between that and the Chicken Mole. Wished they have Al Pastor for us to try. The Mole Enchiladas were filled with shredded chickens. The mole itself was tasty. The Lengua Soup that we got was a hit. Full of tender lengua pieces. The broth itself is very savory and meaty, great for the cold weather.

It's down the street from Luis' Taqueria (which I'm not a fan of), so I'm sure that place pulls away any potential diners with their "mainstream appeal". We mostly ordered tacos (because that's simply what we love to eat ;). To my surprise they were fresh, handmade tortillas; and yes, that makes a huge difference. And in addition, they were large tortillas! I usually order five tacos at most other places because the tortillas are smaller, but unbeknownst to me I still ordered five this time (and of course, I didn't finish it). The flavor was great as I had a variation of different proteins to try. I really did enjoy their tacos and will return again. Next time, I'll order three tacos and end up being full and satisified.
