The restaurant ambiance & service was impeccable; white table cloths, warm bread with butter while you wait, MASSIVE portions, amazing quality. We ordered a pitcher to share of Sangria that was the BEST sangria I have ever had (I'm now ruined for any future sangria lol), and easily equalled 4 drinks. My plate was the salmon special, stuffed with avocado, drizzled with lemony, buttery, delicious valenca sauce & served with perfectly steamed veggies & piped mash potatoes. My husband ordered the Veal Parmesan for a twist as his fav is chicken parm & it was perfectly seasoned, giant portion & served with linguini & red sauce. Both were big enough to be easily shareable. They sang to me and presented me with a scrumptious birthday flan... that I also shared! Parking was a breeze & valet quickly got us in & out. I felt like a VIP Princess from start to finish. Valenca made this a very special birthday meal to remember & anytime we find ourselves in the area, popping in will be a MUST. Did I mention how beautiful the restaurant is? The entire night was like a perfectly curated event & I couldn't have asked for more!

Ummm, flying into EWR and too lazy to drive far for dinner before heading south to my hotel,…read more Valenca sounded interesting. On a Monday evening, it was certainly busy at the bar and in the small dining area. Surprisingly as entree prices seemed to average around $30+. Unlike many restaurants in Portugal, the olives and bread are complimentary which was a nice touch. I opted for the seafood stew with the tomato broth and "lobster ". With the slow service, I was hoping that it would be made to order. However, a large bowl with overcooked seafood arrived. I had to ask for a bowl fir shells and a Nutcracker with hand wipes appeared too. Lobster was a small claw, the middle section which doesn't offer anything edible and a tiny sliver of tail meat. Wish I had remained with the garlic shrimp dish that was so amazing during a trip to Portugal. Service was inattentive, I had to stand up and request my bill. Anyhoo, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, great neighborhood vibe!

Went for Dinner Food…read more- 5/5. Garlic bread was fantastic with plenty of seasoning and great browning for that toasty crunch. Beef short ribs had excellent sear on them while being a perfect medium making for awesome texture. They were seasoned well and the bones fell right off the meat. Rice was fluffy and the french fries were beautifully golden brown with a crispy bite. Service - 4/5. Very friendly and courteous. The manager came to greet us and the waitress was responsive despite a small communication barrier. Value - 5/5. The food is great and comes with so many extras. At $15 I got grilled short ribs, garlic bread, rice and french fries. Each of the sides came with enough to share. Most of their menu items are in similar price range or lower. Fantastic value! So, we decided to take advantage of the happy hour menu The waitress proceeds to ignore what I want to order and goes into the main menu and then adds items that I didn't order and not put in the order that I actually wanted. I'm a little upset. She's not interested in serving our table. She's just interested in hanging out at the table next to us sitting on a gentleman's lap and not even coming to check on us again. The one who took care of us was the bartender. It's pretty sad.. This will be the last time we come here and support this local business.

Love going to Cast Iron Pot, but was getting tired of hauling out to the Signature past Fort Lee…read more So I was pleasantly surprised to find one closer to me in SI! Service was prompt-- we were seated almost immediately once our whole group was gathered, and immediately began to be served. Meats came out fast. They have a 3 meat at a time limit here, but given that they're doing most of the cooking for you, it helps keep things fresh and things are coming off the grill pretty quickly anyways, so the limit does not really come at the cost of velocity of consumption (if you're that kind of AYCE eater). Service here is pretty proactive, coming by regularly and taking orders promptly. We got a mix of meats and sides throughout. Pork belly is a winner, both slabs and slices. Beef intestines were not as we remembered from other locations, but nonetheless good. Sliced beef brisket and jowl are also good cuts for folks looking for something new. Not too much of a fan of marinated meets, but I'm sure they'd live up to the same level of quality too. One huge plus about this particular chain (for which you do pay a bit of a premium in the price) is that they have pretty amazingly efficient grills and vents, such that you can largely avoid smelling like your AYCE KBBQ afterwards. Pretty uncommon, and totally forgivable when it happens, but a nice plus for this place!

Parking is convenient, with spots available on both sides of the restaurant and across the street, which is always a plus in New Jersey. Once inside, the atmosphere completely shifts. The interior is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, giving off an authentic and comfortable vibe. The staff were equally impressive--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food lived up to the experience. Everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, though I would say it leans toward the more expensive side. Paying 18% and then 2 % card fee seems a bit much on the top of that the courses were a bit pricey. That said, the quality is there. The fresh bread and olives served at the start were exactly what we needed--simple, delicious, and perfect after arriving hungry. Overall, a great find that rises well above its surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
