As a a treat my better half decided to treat me to dinner..fancying Mexican food he suggested Chiquitos.. I was like nope ..lets try here.. I had not realised it relocation until he said it was round the corner from him.. Stepping in, the decor was spot on. Nicely spaced out tables, perfect lighting oh and doors on the ceiling.. The background music was epic for me, full of nostalgic hits from my youth ahh. Immediately we were greeted and seated by a kind waitress who was a little too keen taking our drink order but then returned after a few minutes. For those that don't drink there is a plentiful innovate mocktail menu amongst a good selection of beer, wine and cider etc. I chose a standard pino colada which was the perfect consistency and booze balance, Himself had a standard cup of tea which was served in bone china :) The menu itself is varied too, it ranges from Mexican, Thai to Brazilian. Knowing by now not to not have eyes bigger than my belly I settled on a Seafood Stew served with rice and beans. Himself selected the beef strip burrito. The quantity of seafood in mine was plentiful. It contained fresh tasting prawns, whitefish, green lipped mussels and squid. It was similar to a Thai soup but thicker and went well with the accompaniments. He was very pleased with his burrito, I was too full to try any of his . Finally we checked out the desserts, I was slightly let down as it lacked churros :( so we passed and enjoyed a liqueur coffee instead. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty and averagely priced. The service was very attentive with friendly staff asking at the right times if everything was okay. Oh and they had lolly pops on the way out...winner.. Would I be back? Yes certainly.

I had the Hungry Gaucho which is basically a burger but that doesn't do it justice - the burger patty is topped with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, bacon and cheese and was astonishingly good. Served with fries which very nice if a little bit too salty for my taste and onion rings. Sparky went for the lamb tagine - not something we were expecting to see on the menu since someone had described the place to us as "steak and burgers". The tagine was great and the lamb practically melted in your mouth. It gets very busy here very fast, so book a table if you're coming. A little bit on the noisy side, and the drinks aren't cheap but the food is definitely worth it.

I asked at West Corner how long a table would be and they did that mechanic-style breathing in through the teeth thing and said 'maybe 5 minutes?'. Score! I can't really figure out what they're trying to do here as it is in the style of a diner but overall isn't as casual. The service was good though, the staff were attentive and helpful and friendly, and didn't even seem annoyed when we somehow managed to break the booth. I went for a flat white, which was nothing special but perfectly fine, and the breakfast club sandwich. Now this sandwich was impressive, and very tasty. However I don't really think it needed to be a sandwich. It's really too big for anyone to eat unless they unhinged their jaw, and even then the fact that it was on sourdough would make it a real effort to chow through. In light of this I mostly deconstructed this sandwich and really enjoyed it nonetheless. It essentially had pretty much everything I like about a full English and none of the things I don't like. At the end of the meal the bill was more than reasonable and we left full and happy. I'd like to return to try a non-brunch meal soon!

However, even having not been open long it was packed out Saturday before lunch so decided to give it a go. Service is pretty good, worth a 10% tip, and the place looks awesome...although their choice of background music didn't quite fit the theme IMO. We ordered the deluxe burger to share and 4 sides to try a bit of everything. The burger was cooked really well. The mac and cheese was a little too cheesy so couldn't taste the bacon. I loved the slaw...and the triple cooked chips were good. Nothing that made my mouth water - really it's just more of the usual.

We tried several different dishes like the Buttermilk-fried chicken, sourdough bread, mash potatoes, french fries, baked broccoli and Slow-cooked beef cheek. My favorite was the buttermilk fried chicken. Definitely can't go wrong with that. All of it was delish. So much flavor and good size to share with 3 people. We also got Sticky toffee pudding for dessert. So yummy! Definitely give it a shot.

The service was OK, the food offerings just not enticing at all (we ended up with Caesar salads as the main, and stopped to buy some food at a Sainsbury's local and take it back to our hotel room. The cost of cocktails and mocktails was absurd. Mrs G got a mocktail that was totally tasteless for £9.50. I had a margarita that tasted good but the glass was 80% filled with the biggest block of ice that I have ever seen - for £14.50!!!! Advice - stick with beer or wine and don't even consider cocktails!!! The place is still attractive but the fact that it was virtually empty on a Friday evening at 7-8pm is maybe explained by all the foregoing??

We…read morecame on a weekend but yet there wasn't a ton of people which is quite nice because for restaurants like these, its honestly pretty hard to walk in and immediately get a seat. Here are my favorite items: - Polenta Frita - Even though polenta is one of the top food items in Brazil, a lot of braiziliant restaurants actually surprisingly don't have this on their menu. Was very surprised that Bem Brasil had this and that it was actually delicious! I appreciate that the polenta retained a lot of its natural flavors and that it didn't fall apart immediately when you put it in your mouth. Loved the crispiness on the outside too, definitely a good mix against the fries. - Pao De Queijo (Cheese Bread) - Cheese bread in the UK is superior to cheese bread in US Brazilian Steakhouses and this place is no different. The cheese bread tastes like a popover and it was super cheesy on the inside but not like the usual pull apart kinds but rather it was ingrained cheese taste which I appreciate. - Presunto Defumado (Smoked Gammon) - I think a lot of other meats had a lot of flavor on the outside but not a ton on the inside, so its nice that this one (even though it is just ham) has a ton of flavor throughout. Goes well with the other more flavorless meats. Overall, not a bad experience at all. WIll this be the best Brazilian Steahouse you ever had? No. But if you do have this craving and you don't want to wait for hours for no seating, Bem Brasil is probably your next best option.

For each person, there is what looks like a small coaster with a red and green side. This indicates to the meat servers whether you are would like them to stop by your table. I started with a Bloody Mary which came with a teeny tiny bottle of Tabasco floating in it - I am def one of those girls who likes miniature stuff so was almost too excited to notice that in any case the spice level was perfectly balanced. We had padron peppers and octopus to start. The octopus was really excellent - tender with a beautiful flavourful sauce. The padron peppers came with some kind of sauce and no cracked sea salt, which was a shame because the traditional way to do padron peppers is wildly popular for a reason - I wouldn't get these again. For mains, bf loved the crispy pork belly with bacon (and refused to let me have any, so let's take his word for it). I had the half chicken which really is a lot of meat - I love the gravy and sugar snaps but the beetroot potato, while a great idea and having a nice flavour, was really too dominated by the beetroot. We had a penicillin cocktail to finish - it's a very tart whisky cocktail though so I wouldn't recommend it for dessert. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here and you should definitely give this attractive restaurant a try. NB while I initially put categories indicating this is more of a brunch/bar place, it is a proper evening restaurant and unless there's something downstairs, there's not much bar space.

Side roasted root vegetables were quite odd - for my tastes they were too hard, a little dry and not sweet enough. Unusual because I find generally that's a reliable choice in a restaurant. My friend loved her fajitas and they were totally cool with swapping her guacamole for extra sour cream. My friend is a member so it was good value at around £22 for two mains, a side and a drink each. Without the 40% off I think it is a little pricey. Service was pretty good although watch out if you are here for lunch with limited time, it took us quite a while to get the bill so my friend ran late for getting back to work. As an aside, the Coke tasted a bit odd and came without any accompanying bottle. Might have been from the soda fountain, which would be a big negative in my book given the price, but will reserve judgment on that until I know for sure.

The rolls didn't have the right consistency or flavour and looked anaemic. Tasting a chicken wing the sauce was really good but messy to eat! Both burgers were good especially with the pulled pork in mine but forgettable. I guess in comparison to the other two the decor and vibes aren't as strong and the food not quite there . Not one for calorie counters…read more We were very excited when we heard SoLIta was coming to Prestwich, but when it finally opened there was so much pent up demand it was booked out for weeks. We finally got a chance to visit and were not disappointed. The first thing that strikes you is what a great job they've done converting the place. They've taken the old Aumbrey restaurant and joined to a former takeaway to produce a surprisingly spacious restaurant. We'd booked in advance and were glad we did - the place was heaving. The menu is exactly the same as you'd get in their Northern Quarter branch - lots of takes on burgers and hotdogs, plus a few other dishes (fish, vegetarian). But let's face it - you're here for the burgers. Sparky ordered the KFB (Kentucky Fried Bacon) and I had the Drop It Like It's Hot (spicy!). They've got a few beers on tap; we skipped the house special Solita Brau and went for a Paulaner Weißbier instead because we love the stuff. We also added a side of onion rings and another of coleslaw. We were quite shocked by just how fast our food came, probably in just over 5 minutes. I guess if you serve a lot of burgers, they just make sure they have some on the go at all times. Burgers can be served medium or well done - we went with the former, and it was properly medium - nice and pink inside. In many places this would a cause for concern, but everything here's freshly prepared so no worries. The burgers were amazingly good... words won't do their artery clogging deliciousness justice. There were also some amazing looking desserts on the menu but frankly we were too full of burger to do them justice. The food is great and the calorie count is high. Hugely tasty. Hugely satisfying.
