Breakfast had the standard offerings but I loved their biscuits to order anything else. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and added bacon and it was tasty. They offer a huge salad bar with soups too. But whatever you do, save room for the pie. It's the best!!

Our order: 1 Jack Daniels & Coke = $6.00 2 Kids Juice = $3.98 2 Mac & Cheese = $13.98 (my daughter had two servings) 1 Kids Grilled Cheese = $5.79 1 Patty Melt = $9.99 1 Slice Possum Pie = $3.99 Service was on the slow side both times. The food is reminiscent of Cracker Barrel. The ambiance is similar too, although, Mae's has many old photos of historic Eureka Springs which I adored. We all shared a piece of possum pie which is a famous layered dessert of Arkansas. I'd never had it, but was dying to try it. Highly recommend. The sweet two little old ladies beside us asked about it... There is a small gift shop with local items on display such as jewelry, books, and several foods in jars. Not sure if I'm a raving fan just yet, but it's a good go-to restaurant if everything else is crowded. They do close a bit early, though. Food was hot when we got it and it was good. The 30-45 minute wait uostairs in the bar turned out to be 69-85 minutes. Upstairs in the bar area was fun with numerous games to play.

Get there early! We were lucky the Saturday dinner rush was moving along gracefully. They are busy and crowded. If you have the ability to wait for some of the best Italian food Eureka Springs' offers, please wait!! They do not take call in names or have reservations lists. They are old school. It's based on server upon name list leave and wait. The bar upstairs is open, most diners choose to have a drink before their dinner. Understood to be optional. I suggest to try something new. Aways exceptional to live a little. I do recommend linguine with the house favorite meatballs. They are very welcoming at the door, and all the staff are great with peopling. They strive to have you feel welcome. Albeit the wait, it's worth the wait. Littles are welcome.. I have seen large table seatings, but this place is very limited on space. Comfortably, we sat well without bumping in our party of four.

The service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. One thing I especially appreciated was the atmosphere. The music was at a comfortable volume, allowing for easy conversation. The restaurant has a unique and memorable vibe, with large rock walls that create a cave-like ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Eureka Springs. It's a dining experience well worth having!

We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation but arrived around 6:00 pm to figure out downtown parking. We expected to wait, but what bothered us was watching two couples with the same reservation time arrive after us and get seated first. We weren't seated until 6:33 pm. The host wasn't welcoming or accommodating. Our server didn't seem to care about us and was not attentive, and she came across as more snobby than friendly. The food, however, was exceptional. The Caesar salad was outstanding, featuring a high-quality eggless dressing with a mustard-forward flavor. The smoked short rib was generously portioned and a great value, especially since many upscale restaurants charge extra for sides. The mac and cheese, had great flavor but was very rich and thick, making it quite heavy. The smoked duck was another standout--perfectly cooked. I think a berry-based sauce would've elevated it even more than the tangy barbecue sauce, but it was still delicious. The restaurant itself has character. In the back, there's a cave-like structure where we were seated, which made the experience feel unique and memorable. I just wish the hospitality had matched the caliber of the kitchen, because no matter how good the meal is, we didn't feel genuinely welcomed.
