We decided to come here due to the view by the cathedral. When we first arrived they let us know that seating was limited but we could have our party of 5 sit near eachother but not next. We asked if we could move our seats closer and they said no. After 30 minutes in the cold (no heaters), the waitress came up and was shocked we hadn't been attended yet and got us a waiter. Everyone that came after us had already been attended. After placing our order we waited 90 minutes for our food to arrive. I don't mind waiting for good food but I respectfully wish I just ordered drinks. The pizza was cold and tasted microwaved. The 3 cheese pasta tasted disgusting as well. The only good thing was the steak but even then the veggies were cold. We left all our food and spent over $1600. Hoping they can come back from this as their view is stunning. read more

The place is beautiful and that is the reason for my one star rating. The lady who sat us had short black hair (assuming it was the manager) and seemed annoyed that we asked to be sat at an open table, since we were waiting and we wouldn't get sat. The waiter did not once check up on us after taking our order. We asked the manager/supervisor for the tab, again she seemed annoyed and did not bring it to us since our waiter never came back. We were in town visiting family and decided we'd like some coffee and dessert after dinner so we came here. Let's start with the good...the view is amazing. Ok now the rest of the review. We were seated fairly quickly for a large group, then waited quiet a while for our order to be taken so we knew what drinks and desserts we'd like. Nope waitress said she could only take our drinks and that another server would take that order. It wasn't so much that she said that but more the way she said it. Moving on...drinks came and still no server, we waived down a guy and he apologized because he thought the girl that took our drinks took our dessert order too. Manager came over and asked what the problem was and we explained the situation. It would've been nice to have our desserts with our coffee, he asked the young man and he tried to explain but manager wouldn't have it. We interrupted and said no the young man has been very helpful. We explained what the young lady told us and he apologized. So finally our desserts arrived, my wife ordered a crepe with ice cream...ice cream was almost completely melted, I ordered pie and it was grocery store pie. Had to order second round of drinks to wash this down. I really hope this place gets it together, they can't rely on the location and view alone. read more

This place was a little difficult to find. We had to ask a waiter at another restaurant to tell us how to get here but once we found it, wow... The view is amazing and the food was awesome. This is my first review in yelp. I had to do this, first I had to pay $150 pesos to get a reservation. I was fine with that since it's day of dead and everything was full. Got there at 8:15 had a nice table with a amazing view. The waiter was nice, but it took 45 minutes to get are drinks. Then the beers where wrong.We a orders appetizer and a 4 cheese pizza and the shrimps. The worst pizza I have ever eaten. It was like you put a frozen pizza in the oven and burn the shit out of it. The shrimps where frozen and not good. So after spending $650 pesos I have to go to another place to eat. I'm an American tourist so this is based on the fact that I have American tastes. Anyway, I'm staying at Mision Catedral hotel and it's the restaurant on top. Great view of the huge cathedral across the street, and hence, the name of the hotel. I've eaten there twice and the food is bad. I've just ordered the "vegetarian" pizza. It came with one vegetable (not sure what it was) and that's it?! It had really odd-tasting cheese and not in a good way. Certainly not mozzarella cheese. It also came with 2 kinds of sauce you put over it. Interesting, but it did not add to improving the taste of the pizza. It was barely edible. I also ordered some soup which was ok and this god-awful crepe concoction desert that was not edible. IOWs nice view but awful food. read more
