Quesadilla

I found this El Bombero 408 and it's amazing. I got tacos de Chicharrón and some Consomé. For sure I will try this again. I taste the quesadilla too and is giant and delicious. I end up coming back for 2 burritos to go. Service is kind and I like that.

My friend and I found them on Tiktok promoting their $2 Taco Tuesdays and we had to try them out. They're located in a pretty large plaza with lots of parking. We arrived around 6:30pm and there was quite a lot of people waiting already. After 30 minutes of waiting for our food the line got super long, so definitely come a bit earlier than dinner time. There are a few tables set up and the sauces/toppings are self serve. Food: * Asada: Crunchy and moist. They used real asada and not ground beef like some other places. Smokey and can taste the flavorful marinade. * Buche: Very tender and fatty. This was my first time having buche and I was pleasantly impressed. * Lengua: Definitely our favorite! The pieces were super tender and moist. There were crunchy smokey bits as well. Unfortunately, lengua isn't part of the $2 taco Tuesday promo so we paid full price, but it was worth it. * Chicharron: Most of the pieces had gotten pretty hard and some of the skin were chewy and no longer crunchy. The flavor wasn't anything special as well. Their watermelon and mango Agua Fresca were delicious. Not too watery or sugary for our taste. We will definitely be coming back!

Grabbed dinner from this food truck at Lightscape in SF this past Sunday. The short line moved quickly and service was standard. I ordered a super quesadilla with steak. Requested no guacamole, but they still included this on the plate. It was served hot, the grilled tortilla stuffed with plenty of meat, though not as much cheese. The taste didn't stand out, but it was filling. My bf got the combo quesabirria, which was okay, but obviously not as good as homemade. The consomé was pretty tasty, great for dipping both of our dishes for added flavor. All in all, we had a positive experience.

Yum Yum Yum Carne Asada, Quesadillas, CHICHARON I'm going to assume anything you get from this place is worth it, the aqua frescas are also a must to get. Friendly service, to me is was fast for being a Fresh Made As You Order typea establishment, but of course waiting is the "hard" part & anticipating on eating this yummy food. If you happen to be in the area or at least debating on trying this spot, Why Not ‍your already in the area, you will not be disappointed if your craving some good authentic Mexican Food.

This is for the Parkmoor location. If you guys don't want to honor your half off taco Tuesdays then please remove it from your social media. We went there and they tried to charge us full price. When we asked if taco Tuesdays were still happening they said the price was due to tax. Come on don't lie to us or tell us that. This is the second time my ordering experience was bad. The last time I got charged for 5 tacos when I only ordered 4 and received 4. Don't recommend. Go elsewhere.

1.50$ taco tuesday and fresh tortillas and salsa bar/fresh radish and pickled veggies, i would say that's a deal for the price and for what it is it's pretty solid would 100% go back again the asada was my favourite here and the al pastor was a hit as well!

This has to be the nicest food truck I have ever seen. My husband and drove by me had to make a u turn and try this place. First impression was a huge wow for us The menu is a nice size, with so many options I ordered the quesabirrias. The tortillas are freshly made, I asked for mine to be extra crispy. The amount of meat they used was so generous, the flavor was authentic. The consomé was o tasty and not greasy at all. These have to be my favorite quesabirrias. My husband had the al pastor tacos, the meat was so tender and delicious. Full of flavor, the guacamole was perfect. The complementary cucumber, radishes, and salsas is a plus. The place is kept clean, it was not too busy when we were there but a lady was cleaning as people were leaving. The only ready I didn't give them five stars is because they don't take phone orders, I understand they get really busy. I live in San Mateo and it would be nice to call in my order, instead of making the long drive and waiting to get my food. I will be back to try something else on the menu

Checked out this truck bordering a parking lot because the food smelled amazing! This is more of a grab and go situation since no seating is available. I appreciate the veg and sauce station they have for customers. My favorite was the spicy avocado option! Multiple copies of the menu are posted on the truck so customers don't need to crowd around one area. I'll visit again if I'm in the area. SERVICE: My burrito was made pretty quickly and the cashier was very friendly! He asked if I wanted all the components of my burrito inside in case substitutes were needed. Once your order is finished, another staff member will call your order out from the backside of the truck haha. FOOD: *Regular burrito -- I went with carne asada and it was so delicious! They provide a lot of components for a regular burrito which I enjoyed. Most places in the Bay Area only do rice, beans, meat, onion and cilantro now. El Bombero went the extra mile by including a lot of pico de gallo and self-serve sauces + freshly sliced radish! The meat was very flavorful and tender. Tortilla was so good, not dry at all. This is one of the few places where I didn't have to deal with oil dripping from the bottom, yay! Not the best picture included on this review heh, but for reference this burrito was 10in long and 3.5in "wide." Small portion of chips included! :) PARKING: Visited on a Friday around noon and there was lots of parking available.

I am writing to share feedback regarding the El Bombero restaurant on Monterey Road. My family and I frequently visit this location for your $2 Taco Tuesday special, which my mother particularly enjoys. However, over the past three weeks, we have noticed that individuals who appear to be employees have been parking in the single handicap parking spot. My mother is handicapped and cannot walk long distances, making this parking space essential for her access to your restaurant. The limited parking at this location further exacerbates the issue. While we appreciate the food, this parking situation significantly impacts our experience. We also wanted to mention that the indoor seating area making it difficult to hear orders. So you have to wait outside to hear your number be called. That's if their outdoor speaker is working We value your restaurant and hope these concerns can be addressed.

Genuinely the best tacos and the best deal for tacos (on taco Tuesday) in all of San Jose at the moment. Their carne asada is slightly Smokey in flavor, which is unusual but very good like a barbecue. Their carne asada salsas are also all very good, especially the salsa verde.

I came on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait. I've seen videos of this place on Instagram so I wanted to try this out for myself. The truck is located in a parking lot next to the Harley Davidson motorcycle shop. There's a couple of tables in a covered seating area if you want to eat there. I ordered four tacos, two Al Pastor and two Chicharron. I also ordered an agua fresca. The total was $25 for four tacos and a drink which is pretty steep. I didn't get a receipt so I'm assuming the chicharron tacos were more pricey. I was excited to try the chicharron, the flavor was good. Very good crispy texture with a good chew on the rest of the meat. The al pastor, a staple for me, was alright. The flavor was alright, it came with a couple pieces of pineapple. The texture was softer than I'm used to. I would come again for the chicharron it was pretty tasty.

I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

We ordered 2x Carne Asada Taco 7/10 2x Al Pastor 7/10 Asada Burrito Bowl 7/10 Enchiladas with Rojo Sauce 7/10 The burrito bowl was good, but for the price point you may be better off going to Chipotle, I felt that the burrito bowl was a bit soggy. The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

I…read morewent with some family and everyone missed the turn on right and had to U turn and try again just FYI Depending on when you go parking can be difficult, if it is packed I would recommend parking the street over and walking. Most of the food is prepared in a food truck where you line up and order. Seating is next to the sauce bar and they have first come first serve seating. Typical culture is to put the sauce directly on the tacos when you receive them. They give sauce cups if you order to go otherwise they are reluctant to give them out. Currently they are constructing a building around their seating area which is new. This implies that they are generating enough cash to turn their food truck and seating area into an actual establishment. Onto the food review! Carne Asada 7/10 Lengua 7.5/10 Carnitas 8/10 Cabeza 8.3 /10 Suadero 8.5/10 Al Pastor 8.5/10 Suadero and Pastor were top contenders with the most flavor depth. Personally I liked the cabeza as it was very soft, but the flavor can't compare to the suadero. The carne asada lacked flavor in my opinion and was the least tasty out of the meats we tried. Carnitas had that great crunch you're looking for in a taco as it is seared excellently. Lengua was flavorful and super soft just like the cabeza which indicates that they were both braised to perfection. All choices are very solid albeit be prepared for a very greasy meal. The star of the show is their avocado salsa! They offered 6 other sauces in their sauce bar but the avocado salsa was superb compared to the others. This was the only option that had me coming back to sauce bar throughout my meal. They also offered pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions at their sauce bar to help balance the flavors. Finally the best JD big back tip is to get the large strawberry horchata! It was so good we finished ours before even taking a picture of it! The flavor profile on that beverage is superb, imagine a creamy strawberry yakult that is the perfect option to balance greasy tacos. This is a hidden gem item as their strawberry horchata is significantly better than other restaurants version of it. They also offer other flavored horchata but the strawberry remains top tier.

The marinade is perfect and the meat is tender. I've never tried their burritos, only because I can't get enough of their tacos which is crazy because I'm usually the opposite. But Tres Reyes is just that good. I love how they have a dedicated dining area that is always clean. I've never had trouble finding a seat either. The dining area has a full salsa bar with all myriad sauces. They even have picked red onions, jalapeños, and carrots. So good with tacos. Finally, the selection of aguas frescas they have is insane. They have like 8 different flavors if I'm not mistaken. My absolute favorite is the melon/cantaloupe drink. It's so sweet and refreshing. You can definitely taste the fresh melon. So by all means, visit Tres Reyes. Just not too much cuz it's mine!!! ;)

However wifey got really sick. It's Mother's Day today and she's stuck in bed. I ate 1/4 of her burrito but I'm fine. So not sure how to rate this. Taste is pretty good. We asked for no beans so it's a bit plain but I still enjoyed it. - Gringas is like a quesadilla with pastor. It's alright but not worth $10+. I'd rather get 3 tacos! - Carne asada meat has a nice Smokey flavor. However it's jerky like toughness and a bit dry. - Someone in another review was raving about this place having the best Al pastor. So all of that hype made it a bit of a downer since I find it mid. Service (3 stars) + Typical food truck style ordering but it's more of a trailer. They have a little salsa bar with about 4-5 sauce options. Ambiance (2 stars) - Too many loud cars passing while we're eating. I can barely have a conversation with the wifey not that we have a ton to talk about lol. - No restrooms nearby. They serve it with pineapple, which is the way it's meant to be done and a detail that tells you they actually care about getting it right. These are easily some of the best tacos in San Jose, and I don't say that lightly given how much competition there is in the South Bay. But the drinks alone might be worth the trip. Their Horchata and Agua Fresca are genuinely among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area and that's a real statement in a region with no shortage of excellent options. The salsa bar is a nice bonus: a self-serve setup where you scoop what you want into containers, and they send you off with baggies of fresh cilantro and onion so you can finish the tacos exactly how you like them. Yay for mom and pop eats :) Well, I was introduced to this place by my best friend, but I never carried cash to go, so I never tried it until another friend of mine mentioned the Blossom Hill location and them accepting credit card payment! (Yay, but let's not get carried away). I came on a Tuesday evening with friends and saw the place packed! Thats always a good sign~ We each ordered an individual dish to eat and chat. I was intrigued by the burrito bowl and worried it may be small. Jokes on me, it was way more than enough! Don't let the size of the bowl trick you into thinking it's not enough. The avocado was nice and perfectly ripe, the crema sauce drizzle was not overwhelmingly added onto the ball, and the salsa had a nice acid and tomatoey compliment to the beans, meat, shredded lettuce, rice, and cheese! I think this place is pretty solid for the price point and quality. They also have a free for all sauce bar too which is nice! Everything is so spicy, except for the green salsa lol. Servers seemed okay. They didn't really check on us, but it feels like a service yourself kind of place. You grab your own waters, condiments, and sauce here. If you want their chunky mango salsa, you have to flag a server down! However, 1 star is knocked off for the credit card charge, which I'm not even sure what the percentage is. I didn't see a sign at the register or perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I think this should be mentioned on the door and possibly their menu (if it isn't already). Can someone confirm if the credit card charge is 3%? Even my receipt wasn't clearly mentioning the percentage--just the fact that there's a credit card processing fee.
