We ate dinner here tonight based upon other reviews and proximity to our flat.
I judge a "Mexican" restaurant by ordering nachos on my first visit.
El Nopal failed.
Guacamole was puréed avocado mixed with chunks of onion, lime juice, and mayonnaise. This Taco Bell guacamole Level.
Pico de Gallo was 90% tomatoes and 10% onions. No lime. No jalapeños.
We did order a side of jalapeños which were pickled.
Nachos:
Chips, cheese, and tiny amount of ground beef were the positive.
No frijoles, no jalapeños.
Margarita was from the big jug. Not much tequila.
It is clear that most of the food in this restaurant is prepared or canned.
+ brightly lit. Some lights are too high In Kelvin.
+ music. Soft, background. Spanish (?). Definitely not Mexican.
