On YouTube I found this place which featured a tapas of sliced dry-cured tuna which has a similar look to Jamón, but it's tuna (atún) that is served with Málaga almonds and a drizzle of olive oil. Surprisingly, the tuna wasn't fishy and tastes like cured meat. Because I can't get enough of Ibérico meats, I ordered a mixed plate and tried cured pork belly for the first time. If you're used to pork belly cooked Chinese or Japanese style, this cured way will be different. While I've heard of Morcilla (black pudding), I've always wanted to try it. As it turns out, the Morcilla was the favorite of the evening. For drinks, I tried a dry Oloroso Sherry and my date had a Palo Cortado which tastes like if Oloroso and Amontillado had a baby. For my food souvenirs, I bought olive oil and tinned anchovies. At 6 € a tin, I hope they're special. The guy behind the counter and owner were helpful in my selections. read more
