This Ekoplaza generally has the things you need, is open Sundays and has the seitan sausage rolls I so very continuously crave but some of the more interesting things you can find in the bigger (Bilthoven) Ekoplaza are not available here. Also, I find that the layout of the products in the shop confuses me as it doesn't seem to follow the sort of standard Ekoplaza formula so I can never find any proper groceries. Really I just come here to grab a seitan roll and a small bar of dark espresso chocolate on my way to a meeting.
If you're gluten free, I'd advise you to go to the Bilthoven Ekoplaza. I know a Celiac sufferers mum who swears there is a gluten free aisle in de Bilt but honestly, however many times I try to find it, I still haven't! Luckily gluten is no problem for me, but at least in Bilthoven I can find the aisle.
All in all, I think de Bilt is great for grabbing a quick snack and their "dairy" refrigerator is a bit more oversee-able than the one in Bilthoven so that's great when you want to grab some coconut yoghurt and vegan cheese slices. read more
