We've stayed in various condos, they have all been very well appointed, kitchens have pretty much everything you need for preparing meals. There are BBQ grills and a lovely herb garden that guests and residents have use of. Many excellent restaurants close by, next door is the Fairmont Kea lani if you'd like to avail yourself to a spa treatment, or a cocktail at Luana Lounge. If you're a golfer Emerald golf course and the Wailea Golf Club are right across the street. Polo Beach feels like home and we will always go back.

Her symptoms were vomiting, headache, and very weak. We thought it was either a chemical smell due to construction in the building and/or from the air-conditioning. She had no issues Saturday through Monday evening. Monday we were gone all day into the early evening. That Tuesday in the morning, I contacted the management company, Coldwell Banker Island Vacations. I shut down the air-conditioning immediately even though it was 80° plus outside. I opened all the windows and doors and requested fans from the management company. We let the management company know again that something was wrong and they brought over three box fans to see if the smell it go away. Unfortunately, nothing worked. Nothing got rid of the smell. My sister was too sick to get out of bed and out of the unit. We could no longer stay in this unit with the odor and no air conditioning. I wasn't sure what was making her sick. There was a lot of noise coming from another unit/s all day Tuesday. Therefore, we thought maybe it was something to do with the construction and a chemical smell. My nephew was in town at a different complex. He came over to help me and said the smell was terrible and we needed to get out of this condo. At that point, I contacted the management company again to let them know we were leaving and complied with their checkout procedures. Subsequent to leaving the condo, my nephew had a number of direct conversations with the management company. So out of desperation and not wanting to ruin any more of our vacation, my nephew found us a last-minute hotel room with last minute pricing. Since we are no longer going to be in a condo, we had to dump all of our food. So now we lost ability to be in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo for the remainder of our trip and incurred over $3400 in additional expenses for the remaining portion of our trip. My nephew contacted the management company again. Their response was they would send someone over to the unit. They called back to say they didn't smell anything. The management company basically said it was our problem and would not reimburse us for any nights. I feel that under the circumstances, we should be in reimbursed for 4 nights. My sister was fine after four hours of being away from the unit which proves there was a problem with the air quality in the unit. This condo and the management company ruined two days of our trip plus we incurred expenses that we never would have had. We wanted to be in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo not a hotel room sharing a room and a bathroom. We had just lost our mother in January and another sister was diagnosed with tongue cancer. This trip was for us to have a chance to relax and begin the healing process of dealing with grief. This experience at the Polo Beach Club added to our stress and ruined our trip. For Coldwell Banker Island vacations to just shut us down and say they didn't care about the issue isn't right. Why would we incurred added expenses if there was nothing wrong with this unit. I would certainly never rent through Coldwell Banker Island Vacations if this is how they treat their customers. It's unfortunate that we can't talk to the owner of the unit to let them know that their management company is doing a disservice to their rental.

Our unit was fine - came with most standard amentities. However, we were on the first floor and there weren't true windows on some sides of the complex. Instead, there were these shutter like coverings with screens. This was horrid in terms of noise - there's quiet hours here, but because of these faux windows, you could def. hear when people locked their cars or were rolling luggage to their cars at 5AM. A/C was window units. Kitchen was nicely stocked but lacked cooking oil, which is really strange because you had everything you needed EXCEPT that. Check in occurs at a different location (you'll get an email about it). Check out was extremely easy - simply text them to check out. Biggest cons: -No central A/C (window units are noisy) -Faux window shutters that don't block out noise

The condos are all individually owned and rented through a single agency/organization - but the 4 different rooms we had in our family were all great. We had one place (a two bedroom/2 bath) right on the grass field overlooking the water. It was heavenly to wake up in the morning and sit on the lanai listening to the birds and waves. Every evening we would gather en-mass on the lanai and have drinks and watch the splendor that is the Hawaiian sunset. It was awesome! Aside from the really nice accommodations, the grounds around the condos are impeccable. The landscaping is park-like. The crews are always working and they are artists. Perhaps the best thing about the place is the fact that you have access to a full kitchen. Yes, it would be great if we could have indulged ourselves a bit more with drinks by the pool (there are two pools - one more oriented toward families with kids), but heck we made our drinks and took them with us. And the full kitchen meant we could keep the kids happy all the time with food and snacks. Add to the whole package the fact that the Wailea Shopping Center is just a short walk away (and there is an upper end market at the shopping center) and the Wailea Elua Village truly is paradise. Will we stay here again? Oh yeah!

While our condo had a couple snags, there was a comfortable living room space, good-sized kitchen and small lanai. This two bedroom, two bathroom unit was a nice home away from home for my family's five night stay. When we checked into the main office, the staff greeted us with shell leis and a small cup of refreshing guava juice. Such a kind and welcoming gesture! We left with a map of the property and the code to our condo. When we entered, I was blown away with how spotless the place was and the variety in decor. BEDROOMS: One bedroom had a king size bed and the other one had a queen. Each one was attached to a bathroom and there were clear differences between them. One of the bathrooms had a door that opened to the tub (with showerhead) and toilet in the same little space. I didn't like the design of this one as it was too cramped. The other bathroom was much more open and had a standing shower without the tub. Both bedrooms had a TV, closet, dresser and air conditioning unit. KITCHEN: It was stocked well with all the dishes and cooking equipment that you could need, but they didn't have any oil nor salt & pepper. These are basics that should be provided as I wouldn't expect guests to buy these items for a relatively short stay. Additionally, we found out our dishwasher was broken after trying to use it. When we called the office, they said it would take two weeks to get someone to fix it, but they refunded us $200 so we really appreciated that. LIVING ROOM: The main area had a dining table with four chairs and comfortable seating in front of the main TV. We enjoyed relaxing in this room at night and watching something on Netflix (complimentary) before heading to bed. LANAI: My favorite part of the condo! There were two lounge chairs and a dining table. The dining table was a little too big for the space though, which made seating really tight. We had a lovely view of the garden and also got a glimpse of the ocean in the distance. It was such a serene spot to enjoy breakfast, and later catch the sunset. Other Notes: * They provided plenty of towels in each bathroom. * Beach chairs, beach towels and an insulated bag were available in one of the closets. * All around the condo, there were slats in the wall that you could twist open to let air in. A screen covering prevented larger bugs from flying in, but small flies made it through.

The condo complex was well maintained, quiet, and very considerate of their guests and residents. The condo itself was spectacular. It was a lovely unit with a killer sunset view from the Lanai, ample space, and had everything in it that you could ask for to enjoy your stay (from utilities to beach gear.) In general, the location of the condo was right where you need to be for relaxation and if you need to get out, the drives weren't too shabby. After a long day driving the Road to Hana or hiking up to the summit at Haleakala, the condo was a great place to return to and call "home." From the time to booking to asking questions during my stay, I communicated via the AirBnb app with Jeff from MC&C and found him to be really easy to work with and reasonable regarding trip planning. I loved my experience and am looking forward to booking with them again if I make it back out to Maui.
