My daughter went to this school from K-8, as these years progressed she would have a bad day nearly everyday. Over the years I quickly realized if your child wasn't hispanic they wouldn't be treated equally compared to the hispanic students. It got to a point to where my daughter was getting bullied everyday, whenever she went to a teacher/adult they would brush it off as her "assuming" the kids were trying to be mean to her. There were many occurrences where my daughter would come home telling me she got pulled out during lunch to "solve" the issues, in reality it was her, her bully, and a teacher sitting in a circle inside of a classroom and her getting berated saying she was assuming or there was a "misunderstanding" and without proof her teacher "cant take a side" so the student(s) never got punished. By the end of the year my daughter stuck to herself and didn't speak up for herself anymore and she didn't act like herself anymore. Then when my daughter decided to defend herself on her own she got in trouble because she "should've told an adult". She just gave up after that and the bullying got worse. Adding onto all of this the spanish does not get taught properly. They focus on writing essays and reading in spanish but completely miss the grammar aspects. The school lunch is trash and the bathrooms are never clean. They're extremely unprofessional especially when it comes to the new school they're building, there is construction trucks going through the drop off line and the sounds of their construccion interrupts class. There's kids vaping and smoking weed in the bathroom and dealing vapes, they have kids smoking weed in their bathrooms while they scream at 11-14 year olds kids for "PDA". Kids cant hold hands or hug on the playground but they most certainly can bully other kids and deal drugs! If your kid was caught holding hands with a boy/girl on the playground they would get threatened to not be allowed to go to their 8th grade trip, which was the same punishment for kids doing drugs on campus. This school overall is a circus and should have been closed years ago, if your thinking about sending your kid there to learn spanish send them to another school. read more
