That was surprising, especially given my history of routine cleanings and positive feedback from prior dentists. The staff was thorough, but I left feeling uneasy. Being told to switch to a soft-bristle toothbrush while also being presented with an expensive treatment plan felt off, particularly when I've felt great about my dental health up until now. Maybe this office is right for some people, but the experience didn't sit well with me. She was told there would be a 3-4 hour wait, which she agreed to because she needed care. She even offered to leave her phone number in case they needed to call her--staff declined. Because she is diabetic, she needed to eat while waiting. She stepped out briefly to grab food across the street and was gone for no more than 10 minutes before returning. When she came back, the front desk assistant told her, "We already gave your appointment away. I don't know what you're doing here." This was never explained beforehand--that stepping out, even briefly, would forfeit her place. When my mother tried to explain her medical condition and that she had just been there, the staff showed no understanding or compassion and refused to help her. As someone who works in the dental field, I find this completely unacceptable. You do not turn away a patient in pain--especially one with a medical condition like diabetes--over a policy that was never communicated. The lack of empathy, poor communication, and outright dismissive attitude is shocking. Patients deserve better care and basic human respect.
