The manager made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience even though the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. One of the two items I could order was crab legs... fine, I like crab legs. I opted for the meatier ones (bairdi?) since it was only half a pound. Well, they were very sharp/spiny and Red Lobster had no utensils to crack them open. Needless to say, my hands were raw and I had to enlist my husband's help for the claws. What seafood place doesn't have the shell crackers? Also, when my food came out there was nothing to indicate that mine was allergen-related. To make matters more frustrating, we had to remind our server repeatedly for the condiments that we requested when ordering and for drink refills. While we had 8 people in our party, I was the only one with food allergies, so it wasn't complicated. He was very nice but very forgetful. I told him that it was my first time eating at Red Lobster and he offered some suggestions. I got the flounder sandwich with a side salad. We got those world famous cheddar bay biscuits and I loved them. They're buttery morsels of goodness. My salad came out first and I got the citrus lime vinaigrette. Wow!! That salad dressing was delicious!! They need to bottle it up and sell it! Then, my sandwich came out, and I ate my fries first and the hush puppies. The hush puppies were surprisingly, very tasty, and I wish I had more. By this time, I was too full to even eat my sandwich, so I had to take it home with me. It was tasty the next day! The toasted bun was a nice touch. Now, it wasn't an out of this world amazing sandwich, but for the price point??? It was solid! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that bill. $18 for all that food!! You can't even get a salad at Sweetgreen for $20 these days and I ate all that food for $18!!
