I have been a frequent shopper at Einstein's Attic in Northport and in Huntington for quite a while now and I adore both places. Have special kids in your life? You will love these stores. Toys and great baby and toddler clothing will empty your wallet quickly, but the joy of giving such wonderful gifts to beloved children will make you happy you ventured to either place at any time of year. The staff members will guide you through toys and clothing that are loved by kids of any age. The gifts are wrapped beautifully and they will even ship for you! What a blessing! The sunglasses for toddler girls, or slightly older ones are so beautiful and turn any child into a fashionista! The purses are perfect, too. There are toys to satisfy any child's interests and watching wee ones shopping with their parents or beloved grandparents will bring a smile to one's face and also help you see what is so magical about this place. read more

Really frustrated. Ordered something for delivery in April. No periodic updates, keep having to ask for one. The response is just "we don't know, if your plans changed we can refund you". No apologies no nothing. Will not order again. Hopefully I eventually get my Item. read more

If your in a pinch and don't want to drive to far I suggest you come here as they have just about everything imaginable. They have everything literally from dolls to slime. Since they have just about everything that comes with it's own problem the store is very cluttered. Everywhere you walk you have to be extra cautious. Tripping hazards galore. The items are severely marked up. For instance twister will cost you $26.99 at Einstein's attic or $16.99 at target or even $14 on Amazon. I am all for small business but I have to do what's best for my budget. Once again if your in a pinch head here and while your at it take a walk down main street it sure is a beautiful location. But if time is on your side and looking for a bargain seek elsewhere. Hope this helps. read more

Great selection of toys, and the staff have always treated my family more like individual people instead of random customers. It seems many of the negative reviews about Einstein's Attic are about wanting more, more, faster, faster, cheaper, cheaper. That's not really what I expect when I'm in downtown Northport. And do we really want that all the time, in every aspect of our lives? Overloading our schedules, expecting instant gratification and becoming more and more impatient? This a place to find a thoughtful gift. If (and I mean if, because I've definitely had quick service as well when they're not busy) you have to wait in line while someone else's present is specially wrapped just for them, appreciate that unique service and maybe get a present wrapped yourself. Or give yourself a little extra time. We're looking forward to stopping by again soon! read more

Great toy store, helpful friendly staff!! Yes it's a bit cluttered but theres tons to choose from in such a small space, and I thought it was cozy and cute. My only suggestion is to put prices on the items. But even with that, the staff was available and helpful with telling the prices. Great free wrapping too. A little Expensive but worth it! Just recently spent over $100 on various toy items at the store. When I got home, one of the toys was defective and I brought it back to the store. I was told that I need to contact the manufacturer and return it to the manufacturer as they have a no return policy at the store, I will never spend another penny at Einstein's attic in Huntington. There are plenty of other stores to purchase from and I would go across the street the next time I want to buy my grandchildren a toy. Parents this place is adorable for your little ones! Yes, it is on the pricey side but its good to support a local business. They had a lot of toys for children of all ages. It was a cute toy store and I just had to buy something for my 8 month old! I would definitely recommend this place for people that need a gift for their little ones. Also, they do adorable gift wrapping for gifts. Only downside is that the prices are too high! read more

Nice little toy store in Northport has a good selection of games and toys for all ages. The staff is helpful but the biggest complaint is that every item is very pricy here. I'm all for shopping local but I find the same things on Amazon for a lot cheaper. This is a great little toy store. That said, I wish the owners would put the price on the items. My kids and I waited 15 minutes just to get a price while the store worker was wrapping gifts for someone else. We mentioned just wanting a price and were still told to wait, even seeming annoyed that we were annoyed (we had been patiently waiting for 10 minutes at that point). After 15 minutes, in a super crowded store (filled with items which is great but makes it impossible to pass other shoppers), with several kids with hacking coughs nearby, we had to give up and left. I hate to criticize any small Business but this was not the first time we've spent a loong time just trying to get a price to see if we even wanted to buy the item or should look for something else (and there was a woman behind us waiting for the same thing). The store has a great selection and we love to support local but we truly hope they get a better system and add prices on their items to eliminate unnecessary waiting . read more

I always enjoy supporting a local merchant: They're pleasant, offer suggestions, host good kids' parties (we've been to a few) and support children and schools in the community. Maybe some people were just having a bad day, not sure. They're a great part of the community with lots of unique gift ideas. It was 5:40 when I called Einstein's attic and asked them what time they closed. The girl on the phone told me they were open until 6. At 5:45 I entered the store where a young girl and older unpleasant woman were standing. The older woman hugged and puffed so many times that I think I might have been blown away! My niece picked out a $25 stuffed animal and as I was paying this old woman was hovering over us making sure we didn't pick anything else out. I thanked her several times for allowing us to shop 10 min before they closed, and she wouldn't respond. The only reason I held my composure and continued with the purchase was to not ruin my niece's experience. Terrible management. read more

I had always made a point to go into this store whenever I was in the Village. I will not be returning, upon entering the woman behind the counter rude to my wife & 2 year old daughter. Nonethless, we had planned on purchasing a few toys for my daughter's Easter basket. While my wife was on line to purchase, I attempted to distract my daughter to preserve the surprise. As we looked at a toy piano, another woman came by and grabbed the toy from my daughter & placed it on the top shelf. Incredibly rude. I immediately told my wife & we left without purchasing & will not return. If you value any kind of 'customer service' or even common courtesy, don't waste your time here. read more

A toy store owner that doesn't like kids. Was there on March 7th 2015. After spending over $100 at the store with my 5 year old daughter we were treated poorly.I watched my daughter while standing right next to me look at a plush toy purse that had small stuffed animals in it. She opened the purse to see what was inside and the employee behind the counter spoke to her in a very harsh voice that startled us both, "oh don't take those out." I teach my daughter to use her manners. Please and thank you are the magic words. We won't be returning or recommending. The supply of local customers is limited. Einstein's Attic is a gorgeous toy store with many different types of educational toys from birth to elementary school level. Unfortunately , the store discriminates against special needs children. I was personally told by the owner that she would open the store early for my Autistic nephew because she didn't want to turn away customers if he came in during store hours and at the end of the day her sales are what really matters. Shame on you Lori. As educators we should be advocating and educating people on special education not discriminating. Most people today have a friend or relative with special needs and until you can accept that your business will never succeed. If I could give zero stars I would have :( read more

I couldnt disagree more with the horrible reviews I have seen on here. My first time coming across Einsteins Attic was thru my sons nursery school. I had read in a holiday newsletter that they donated a $390 party. I thought that was wonderful and those people are worth a look. I was desperate to find a venue for my sons birthday which is the day after Christmas. I jumped the gun and booked it. The more I thought of it there wasn't going to be enough room for parents and the kids. I came back the next day and explained saying regrettably I had to cancel. Without even having to ask she offered a full refund to my card. She told me she didnt want me to feel stuck, they wanted me happy. I refused the refund and happily took store credit. Yea I could've used the refund on my card cause I'm not rich and its the holiday season. But I was impressed by their sincerity. She has remembered me each time since our first encounter. Nothing but pleasant every time TO EVERYONE, they even wrap your gifts at no charge. No they dont have what the big stores have but I'm not a carbon copy and I dont want my gifts to be either. I will keep going back for years to come! read more
