I tried the All-Nighter Breakfast sandwich and it was great with the Cholula hot sauce. It was not messy like some breakfast sandwiches are. The reason it was not 5 starts was that they gave someone else our order and we had to ask them about it. They ended up remaking our order so we waited much longer for our food.

Mawi helped me out choosing the best Protein sandwich being my first time I was satisfied with my purchase I will definitely coming back for more !!

Lox bagels and cream cheese with onion, capers and tomato

In the morning you stop by for something different and enjoy eating your bagel with a cup of coffee on the bay! Well that's just what we did! Now a fresh onion bagel toasted with lox and cream cheese and a few red onions and capers and a slice of tomato! My wife had a cinnamon raisin bagel and cream cheese! I only wish that there was a Einstein Bagel near me back at home because I would be there every morning! The wait was about 10-15 mins but that's ok. They still don't let you eat inside. Why'?? I think they just don't want to clean the tables every time someone is done! They would have to hire another person to do this! Is it cost effective I just don't know! Anyway the bagels are great and you can enjoy them elsewhere like we did!

Coffee was extremely hot about half full for a medium. And the $9 bacon and cheese bagel was an embarrassment. I know it's airport food but this is ridiculous.

I am at this airport weekly. I love getting food and drinks from this location in Terminal 2 next to the security. Only thing is, you can't take drinks thru security so when I get here with extra time I always get a garden sandwich with an OJ. The ladies that work there are so kind. One worker has really high positive energy which always makes the start of my travel smooth. The cherry and Plain yogurt pastry is 10/10! I cannot describe it but has the perfect combination! This is a must try item! Thank you staff for always putting a smile on even while super busy! Keep up the great work!

Turkey sausage, one egg and extra cheese plain bagel

This location is inside terminal 1 at San Diego before you pass through security. Busy bagel shop but they are well staffed and the lines move quickly. I ordered six cheese toasted bagel with chives and onion cream cheese. This was exactly what you want in a bagel. It was pillowy soft, tender to chew but had a nice crust on it. It tasted so freshly made. I will stand in many lines for that bagel again. I also ordered the turkey sausage with one egg and extra cream cheese and this comes on a different plain bagel. It was not delicious. It was dry, the bagel seemed to be stale, not much cream cheese on it and very dense. I will not be ordering that option again. They do have Diet Coke in a bottle. No Pepsi here. They call your number when your order is ready. They do have about 15 tables for seating inside this location with some local news running on their televisions. I was told you can bring the sandwiches through security but I ate mine in their seating area so I am not sure if you really can bring it past the TSA lines. The total was $18.30 with a bottle of Diet Coke.

We were on our way back home and had time to get a little snack! We didn't want a burger so we decided to give this place a try! Neither one of us had had Einstein Bros Bagels in years! Great choice. I had the turkey bacon avocado bagel sandwich!!! Toasted bagels. Crispy bacon. Crunchy fresh lettuce. Turkey ( a nice portion ). Fresh avocados. Fresh tomatoes. Mmmmm....ooooooh soooooo good!!! For some odd reason, airport location restaurants are rarely the same as the local neighborhood locations. Every once in a while we get lucky and get that sandwich that gives you a little burst of flavor and wakes you right up! YUMMY!!! I truly enjoyed my sandwich!!! For that hot cup of joe??? Meh. Not sure what happened there. Not the rich flavor I was craving for. Again, this is located in SD airport. With that being said, I cannot comment on tables/chairs/bathrooms. All are wherever you can find in a shared environment. For the staff, they are working as hard and as fast as they can keep up. It is a busy airport!!!

Chicken club salad $6.54

This place is a remarkably good value. For $6.54, you can get a fresh salad with grilled chicken, bacon, cucumber, tomato, onions, cheese and some little croutons made out of bagels. It gets the job done at half the price of a salad at any of the other two options in this terminal.

Hot Chocolate with Whip Cream

Staff was super friendly and nice. Can't complain about their bagels and hot coca! Definitely recommend to stop by and try.

The bagel was just sad. Wasn't toasted and soggy. It was very bland and was disappointed with the avocado on my bagel. Tried this place because it was my 1st time. Hopefully it's just this location. Never got to finish the rest of the bagel.

Yum! Einstein bagels in San Diego airport!

‼ DISCRIMINATION! RACISM! ‼ I had an extremely uncomfortable…read moreand upsetting experience here while picking up a large coffee order for a wedding. When I arrived, there was a very long line, but because my order had already been placed, I went to the designated pickup area. While waiting, I watched the employee behind the counter speak politely and normally to other customers. When it was my turn, I turned my phone around and politely said, "Hi, I'm here to pick up for" Before I could even finish my sentence, the employee looked at my phone, rolled his eyes, turned away from me, and went to retrieve the order. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no basic courtesy. He handed me the order while staring at me, rolled his eyes again, and immediately returned to the register. The interaction was so noticeably hostile that I looked back at him and asked, "What's your problem?" He immediately turned away and began helping someone else. I then asked another employee whether there was a manager available and explained what had just happened. Her response was essentially that there was "a lot going on" and that they were busy. Being busy does not excuse treating a customer disrespectfully especially when I had just watched other customers receive normal, courteous service. What made this experience particularly concerning was what happened next. While I was still making sure my large order was complete, another customer approached the pickup area. The same employee who would not even allow me to finish my sentence immediately greeted this man with, "Hello, how can I help you?" and proceeded to speak to him politely and professionally. That was the exact basic courtesy I had been denied only moments earlier. As a Black woman, I cannot ignore that difference in treatment. I watched this employee demonstrate that he was perfectly capable of greeting customers, communicating professionally, and being courteous. He simply chose not to extend that same treatment to me. Based on what I personally witnessed, the disparity felt prejudicial and discriminatory. I then walked to the neighboring sister establishment to ask how I could contact management because I had not been provided helpful management information inside the coffee shop. Ironically, the employee I spoke with there was also Latino, and he treated me with complete respect. He listened, offered to get a manager, asked whether I was okay, and apologized that I had experienced something uncomfortable. That interaction is important because my complaint is not about anyone's ethnicity it is about the specific behavior of the employees who dealt with me at the coffee shop. What was also strange was that the coffee shop employees who had just explained that everything was so hectic suddenly had plenty of time to stand at the counter and watch me while I spoke with the neighboring business. They continued watching me until I got into my car. There had been an enormous line of customers, yet somehow the "too busy" explanation disappeared when it came time to watch what I was doing after I asked about management. That made an already uncomfortable situation feel even more hostile. The Smoking Gun needs to seriously evaluate who it places in customer-facing positions. Customers should not have to wonder whether their race affected the basic level of dignity and courtesy they received. If an employee is overwhelmed or having a bad day, take a break, ask for help, or work away from the front counter. What you do not do is selectively discard basic manners with one customer and then immediately demonstrate those same manners to the next. I came in to pick up coffee for a wedding. I was polite. I was there to collect an order and leave. There was absolutely no reason for me to be treated with hostility. I will be filing a formal complaint with management regarding this incident. I hope management takes it seriously, reviews what occurred, and provides its staff with appropriate customer-service and anti-discrimination training. No paying customer should be treated as though basic respect is optional. And yes, they can run the cameras back it'll be in there ! Then to ice the cake, they literally got the order wrong and didn't give me all the items for the party that I was taking it to! Could look me up and down but not look the orders up and down !

As much as I hate the word "authentic" when used to describe any type of cuisine, they are absolutely doing it right, honoring the classics with more modern recipes eschewing animal products. That means you've got your lox, pastrami, egg salad, matzo ball soup, latkes, knishes, and all the bagels a baker can roll. Many of these are rarities for the average vegan to encounter and a true luxury to have them all under one roof. As a Jewish person who's been vegan for almost 25 years, I've never had many of these specialties made by anyone other than myself.
