Abysmal service. I gave them a large deposit to reupholster three items and they said they'd pick them up. After several weeks, they hadn't picked them up, they didn't call to explain or reschedule, and when I called to ask about what to expect, Sue screamed and yelled at me about how busy she is. I love this place! Sue has worked on projects for me before but recently has been redoing our living room and dining room. She is an incredible talent-- she has the ability to listen to and understand her customer's needs and to bring her own vision into the plan. This place was awful. Brought my grandparents Chairs to be fixed and they were not done correctly. I kept going back to have them fixed the mistakes and all I got was rude ignorant people yelling at me. I would give this place a zero also i Would never recommend to bring my furniture there at all I still can't believe how they we're yelling in my face after I paid a lot of money for there services. don't use them !!!!!!!!!! read more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Sue the owner tells you EVERYTHING is a problem and or difficult so when you get hit with their outrageous pricing she'll reiterate how 'complex' your drapery is. I had a simple 100x84 rod pocket curtain covering a patio door. When I got the $1,0000 bill (NOT INCLUDING FABRIC) I laughed. $125 for a curtain rod, $125 to hang them $45 for the brackets??? I got my rod at Joanne's for $30 that came with brackets and the person who is doing my curtains who gave no excuse or issue whatsoever will do them for $275 and $35 to install. And, to add insult to injury I brought her a chair that was stained and not quite dry yet. Instead of acting logical, she threw a tantrum about how she 'has no space to let it dry, not wanting to be responsible etc etc. The whole 'complex' act again. When I confronted her about her behavior, she told me "get the f**k out.' NOT KIDDING. There is something very wrong with this angry woman. Oh, and it took them 3 weeks to cover one kitchen chair cushion which I got after inquiring multiple times. Call anyone but them. Save yourself the aggravation. read more

You never know who's going to walk in your shop. When I see a comment like the one from Courtney, you just sense how sour she is. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with her. Possibly her furniture was just junk to begin with and she expected miracles. I'm sure her sanity? made her a peach to deal with. Same goes for LB, I'm sure they're going to lose sleep knowing you'll stay away. As a professional restorer I and other professionals have had great service and quality work done here. Sue went out of her way to find some historically correct fabrics for a very important commercial project. There must be a good reason the pro's use them right? Be courteous and you'll receive the same. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about crazy retailers like Courtney and LB. read more

I purchased a 12 year old boat with a hugh interior side panel where the wooden backing and some of the vinyl had been destroyed by water damage. Sue and her team did a perfect restoration of the 7 foot, multi panel piece and was even able to creatively recover and include some manufacturing embroidery. I saw a chair on chairish.com and wanted to sit in it before I bought it, so I drove out there from Brooklyn, NY. I called and spoke with Sue, who gave me all the directions I needed and reassured me that she would wait for me if I arrived late. The chair itself is gorgeous - they did a stellar job reupholstering the piece with high-end linen fabric and brand new foam stuffing which makes it really comfortable. The price was also quite reasonable. I saw a whole lot of other pieces there that were lovely. Sue and the other people I spoke with there were all great to deal with - friendly and professional. It was a 5 hour round-trip and I would happily make that trip again to purchase furniture from them. In fact, I am considering having them reupholster one of my old chairs! read more

We had a couch reupholstered by N. Needles 7 months ago, at $1600 plus (we could have purchased a new couch for just about that) so when our cotton sliding door pull- up blind, whose base houses a rod for weight and only needed a very simple stitch , a sleeve of sorts. with a machine we thought of them because we knew them. My husband was quoted a price of $35, not a big deal for maybe 20 minutes on a machine with some heavy thread, but when he went to pick it up the price was $70!!!!!!!!!!! Not because they had run in to problems--just because that was what they wanted to charge. He SHOULD have gotten the original quote in writing, but didn't suspect such behavior as that $35 came right off the tongue and sounded right for the work involved. They are real fools----there are plenty of other places locally who do what they do. They doubled the price on a simple job just because they could, and lost further business with expensive items. We would NEVER go back!!!!! read more
