We have a family coastal cottage which needed to be revamped and brought into the 21st century. Amy was so kind and thoughtful about trying to keep the sentimentality of our family home along with trying to please two other families besides myself. This process went on for almost a month before we made the final purchases. Amy and her managers worked with us and NEVER ever put any pressure on us. I don't have pictures to post yet but when it all gets delivered I will show off the amazing new space Amy has created for our family! It's so nice to see such a place like this go into town. As soon as you enter, you are immediately hit with the light scent of homemade goodness (or maybe that's just the lavender and goat milk soap!) I wish I could just bottle it up and have my home smell like that. Everything on sale in here is made by local artisans. From deodorant, decorative candles, soaps and scrubs, wine glasses and mugs, wooden furniture and signs, beauty products, clothing....there is truly something unique here for everyone. Lots of organic and fair trade items as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Stephani, one of the owners while we (my son and I) were there and she is just the sweetest. Additionally, they will be hosting events in this space as well. I think along the lines of Mommy & Me classes and adult wine/art nights. Upon entering with our service dog, the owner informed us that dogs weren't allowed, leading me to leave while my partner continued shopping. Subsequently, the owner criticized our ability to read, citing a small, inconspicuous sign on the door. Note to management: If you want a no-dog policy, a microscopic sign in white on grey won't cut it. Perhaps a more conspicuous sign would save future customers from the vision test. Just a thought for a smoother yarn-shopping experience. For reference a photo of the door is attached good luck finding the text without zooming in 5x.

As others have said, they ARE truly, "the pickiest shop!!" I chose them because they're local to me…read more& run like a cute boutique. Unlike another non-profit shop I consign with, MR is merchandised & marketed on social media. For those reasons, I felt my items had a good chance of selling. Their biggest downside...I've been frustrated for too long bringing my things there, having good items denied. I've brought brand new or worn twice, stylish items that got denied. It's almost become a joke when I go in. They've tried to point out a "DOT", their favorite word. 'You see that little dot there" "Sorry it's really cute but due to the quality, we're going to have to pass"....you can NEVER see their infamous "dots!!" Once they discussed a tiny "area" on a print top I brought in, between them, back & forth for 15 min...it was clearly part of the print design, this tiny, faint, tan part of the floral design they "jussssst weren't sure wasn't a "spot"...it clearly wasn't! Denied! Meanwhile, I see worn, faded tops on their racks, not nearly in as good condition or stylish as my items. I've brought in name brands they always sell there, in perfect condition, albeit used, that they deny. Molly Rose...you DO know you ARE a USED clothing store, right? Twice I've seen tops I'd also owned at one time, that they charged more for than I bought it for brand new! I will say, my one better experience was with the owner herself, who was much more customer friendly and while selective, better at choosing items. For the heck of it, that day I had brought in a necklace that had previously been denied, for seemingly no good reason, as they had others like it...the owner liked it and took it immediately! Unfortunately, she's been there choosing items only once in my 3 years consigning. I've also bought items in the past there, so I've been a customer too....but I'm done wasting my time consigning with them.
