Drink cocktail

This spot was a place in the area that we ended up going to due to last minute spontaneous plans. We loved that there was no line to get in and there was still plenty of people inside. There was a local DJ playing music from 2010s to 90s. Billiards are $1.00 each that you need to put quarters in for so keep that in mind. No token exchange machine but that'd be great if they did. There's a chalkboard on the wall where you could write your name on for billiards as well. - patio outside - bathrooms are small, 1 stall - fun atmosphere - drinks were good - DJ played good vibes

This place is amazing...and I'm not a "dive bar" kinda gal! Besides Kauai, this place has the best Mai Tai I've had. Now for the food, I ordered the club panini. Not traditional, but really good. It's warm and welcoming, from the bartender to the clientele.

Went there for a bday celebration last Friday. My friend reserved the entire patio, it was very cool and they had the dodger game on. There was no service outside, meaning no servers asking if we needed anything. If we needed a drink, we had to go inside and order it ourselves at the bar. My friend ordered a panini with chips and it was very tasty. They have a shot called "Mexican candy" OMG IT WAS DELICIOUS. As the evening progressed, (10 pmish) the youngsters showed up as well as the dj. Music was meh but maybe cuz I'm 50 lol. A/C was on and it felt amazing in there. Overall had a great time, will definitely return for the Mexican Candy shot. Bartenders were cool, not super friendly but not rude like other posts say.

Ricky King is a legend and the main reason we come here. That bald gentleman m gets the party going every time. Trying to party to go see Ricky King. He's a literal goose for getting the party going, all joking aside Ricky makes us feel welcome and makes this bar a location,

Fun night for my sons 21st birthday! Great place!

We are rarely in the area, but since we had some errands to take care of that led us to be in the nearby, and we didn't know what to eat, then my wife said how about some fish and chips from a different place, then it hit me that I had this place bookmarked and saved for some time now, and now was the perfect time. We came there and parked in the public parking building that was free. We came inside and there was a party of two in front of us waiting. The waiter, seemed to be the only one, came by and said hi to everyone and his thanks for our patience and wait. He later came by and took them to their seats. They requested outside, and the took them. We waited a few more minutes, then it was our turn and he was ready to lead us to our seats, but we asked for outside as well. He asked us to give him a few minutes to clean up a table for us. After so, he sat us and gave us menus. The service is good, considering he is the only one, but he moves about pretty quickly and still giving everyone his all. The table was pretty nasty. It was sticky. But we wiped it down and proceeded onto our night. We ended up ordering the two piece fish and chips and their pub burger with no cheese as my wife is lactose intolerant. People really need to realize that smoking is smoking, it does not mean that vaping is ok. Respect others by keep that to yourself, especially in a restaurant. The food came out pretty fast, and very hot and fresh. One of the fish was perfect and crispy, the second pieces was lacking. It was soggy and not fried long enough. The fish itself was great. It had a nice texture, firmness, and lightly salted. The batter was bland and could use some salt. However, eating it with the tartar sauce was amazing. The tartar sauce is perfection. Definitely a good fish and chips combo when consuming with the tartar. The steak fries were perfect. The burger was completely lacking. I thought it should be sent back. The idea was ok, but the execution was wrong. The burger was overcooked, way too overcooked. If it was cooked correctly, it would have been a great burger. The onion rings are great though. Great flavor, great batter, good frying. Overall, the waiter made the experience good because he was on top of it. The food was ok, as there are things that would make it better. But if you have never been here, definitely come try it. Remember, the atmosphere is still a pub, not a family type restaurant, but is ok for a family to come here as well.

My faves are the Scotch Eggs, the Sausage Rolls, the (Cornish, Shamrock, Chicken & Vegetable, and Cheese & Onion) Pasties, the Bangers and Mash, the Stout & Spicy Guinness Chili, the Steak & Mushroom Pie and the Loaded Shepherd's Pie. Drinks 4.5 stars: Great selection of beers on tap, not only British but from all over the world. Also wine and soft drinks. The Last Word 5 stars: A solid choice to have some great English food and drinks in a relaxing environment. Highly recommended!

I will say where it fell flat was the food and the drinks, to be honest. My husband tried 2 different kinds of beer and while 1 tasted okay, the other was not his taste so he left it. I opted for their seasonal pasta and it was so lemony to the point that it wasn't refreshing, it was just sour. Their buffalo cauliflower looks good, but I'd skip the buffalo sauce and opt for ranch instead. Overall, I appreciate the staff for being attentive and the bathrooms for being clean, but the food and drinks should've shined and they didn't.

The Good: Easy to make reservations. The hostess was very welcoming. The bus boys were helpful and pleasant. Out server, Sky was very friendly and accomodating. She offered to give us separate checks which was appreciated. We were a party of 5 in need of 3 checks. The Menu has a great assortment of offerings. The Not So Good: Memorial Day Weekend and short staffed. We came for the brisket and they were low on brisket. It was only available as a sandwich or 50/50 plate. All of our meals came out COLD. Not only was the mac & cheese cold but it was underseasoned. The trip-tip was over done and very dry and tasteless. The cornbread was doughy and undercooked. The woman who brought out our food was not our server, Sky. That woman was somewhat of a smarty pants complaining we did not know our own orders. However the problem was that NONE of the plates had the right sides. One of the 50/50 plates supposedly had brisket and tri-tip but the brisket was a pile of shredded meat of some sort and we could not tell what it was. She was down right rude. They ran out of onion rings but failed to tell the servers and substituted fries without asking what we wanted in place of the onion rings. They didn't even hold back some onion rings for the Bear Burger which includes an onion ring, an enticing reason to order the Bear Burger. I have no problem paying for a good meal, but these meals were not worth the money. It is very likely this could have been just an off day. What I can tell you is that regardless of the situation, I am always courteous and appreciative of all workers in the restaurant world. Since there are many positive reviews, give them a try and hopefully you will have a different experience than we did.
