My wife and I own multiple rental properties. We purchased a 1950's house that needed extensive work. As we remodeled it became clear the original wiring had to go. The former owner had multiple fuse boxes in various places AND we found loose wires in the ceiling just spliced together uncovered! To complicate matters the walls (including interior walls) were block. We searched for a highly rated electrical contractor to rewire the entire home and Egan Electric was contacted. Bob walked the home and showed me what was needed and how it would be done. His company had rewired other older homes and I could tell he had the experience to do the job and he knew what he was talking about. Had some work done today by Egan Electric. I received their name from a recommendation from someone on Ocotillo Friends website. I called and scheduled an appointment. Bob came out and I told him what I wanted and he said he can do it all. We were scheduled to have the work done on Monday but there was an opening today and worked better for us. Bob and his son showed up right on time. They went over what work was to be preformed. They went to pick up a few needed supplies and started the work. They installed pennant lights in our kitchen, added several dimmer switches, added canned lights to our patio area, installed a cable outlet and an additional electrical outlet. They were on time, very polite, very clean and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. They did a great job for us and I would definitely and will recommend them to our friends or anyone looking for electrical work to be done. Thanks again Bob. Beth Egan responded to my phone call within minutes after I left a message inquiring about electrician support for an electric issue with a junction box connected to a wall mounted oven. The company was very accommodating to sync up with the oven repair company. The electricians arrived early on the scheduled day and was very professional and knowledgeable. They identified the issue within minutes and repaired the wiring immediately. They worked with the oven repair technician e very efficiently and as a result, our oven was functioning within 20 minutes. Hello Everyone They were right there to help me out. I live out of state and I have a part time home that had an electrical problem. The care taker called a company that came out and tore out many outlets and wires and turned the electricity off without permission and refused to put it back together. They wanted $4,000 to $6,000 dollars to rewire the house and they could do this immediately. I said no and refused to talk to them. I then contacted Egan Electric that I found in my resource book at SunBirds Resort. They came out and put it back together and then set up a time to fix the problem. The problem was fixed and for under $500. I was so relieved to find a company that knew I was not in AZ and did not try to rip me off. I am constantly coming up with ways Egan Electric can improve my home. They have installed new light fixtures and ceiling fans, replaced all of my smoke detectors (after an unfortunate incident at 1:00a.m.), added an extra outlet in a space that should have had one, and installed a light switch that automatically turns off in my children's bathroom. The best thing Egan Electric installed, however, was a whole-home surge protector. It protected my entire home from power surges! Incredible! Our landscaping contractor always uses Egan Electric for electrical items. While Bob was at our house to wire our new fountain, I asked him to look at our main electric panel, which had been improperly mounted/secured to the exterior garage wall during a remodel several years before and was becoming a potential safety hazard. He told me what he would do to fix it and quoted me a price. We decided to also have some other minor work done--replacing 4 outdoor lights and putting in some dimmer switches. He arrived on the appointed day, got the work done for significantly less than the quoted price and also in less time than anticipated. The owner and his son came to our home to install four ceiling fans. The first fan looked like the motor had been used before, it was all dirty and dusty, so I got into my vehicle and took back that fan for another one. The second fan was installed and it made a clicking noise, so they took that fan back down and I again went back to the store for another fan to be installed while they waited for me to bring back the fan to finish the job. They waited without complaint and they didn't charge me for the extra fan installation. Wow, what great service. I would recommend this company to everyone with any electrical needs. read more

We moved into our new build 5 years ago and are still finding plenty of ways to fix it up just the way we'd like it. We started using Egan 3 years ago to get rid of some recessed lights and install new light features and they've always been great! Called Egan electric to come troubleshoot a GFI issue on my BBQ island. They encouraged me to find and reset GFI before spending money on service call. I found GFI and pushed button with no success. They arrived the next day and within 3 minutes determined I wasn't pushing hard enough. It would have been very fair to charge me the service charge as they gave me the solution ahead of time. This family operated company is great to use. They have been out to my house twice and showed up early both times which is unheard of lately in the Phoenix metro. Prices are very reasonable compared to other electricians we called (who BTW never showed). We had them hang a heavy chandelier on a 12' ceiling in our entry way, they were done in less then 2 hours! Great people and honest. Calld them for a circiut breaker popping all of the time. Without even looking, he asked me a few questions. Found out that we had our coffee pot plugged in to a 15 amp outlet, when it should have been in a 20 amp outlet. Moved the pot and no problems ever since.
