Many years later I find out they used smaller sized wiring on my home than required by code resulting in melted wires (could have had a major fire!) They also failed to use proper medium on copper to aluminum wires resulting in heating. When I contacted them, they denied it and said I was supposed to do maintenance on the wires inside the circuit breaker box!!! Ridiculous! These mistakes were confirmed by an electrician from George Brazil. I have a complete description of what was wrong along with photos and the actual melted wires from Egan work. I called Egan when I had a faulty outlet in my bedroom which occurred while I was vacuuming. She said unfortunately they were booked out several weeks but that it sounded like I had tripped the arc fault breaker which was pretty common, and she walked me through how to reset the breaker on the main panel. Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue so she referred me to another company who may be able to set up an appointment sooner. I appreciate her trying to help me reesolve the issue without an expensive visit from an electrician by walking me through the most common (and most importantly harmless to me) method of fixing the issue, and then recommending another company to me when it didn't work. We all hear the horror stories of being taken advantage of by pricy and/or questionable electricians, so it's greatly appreciated to talk to somebody whom gives a sense that the honest electrIcians are still out there. They showed up exactly on time, explained what they would need to do, and did it perfectly! I rarely give a five star review. In fact, not sure I ever have, but Egan Electric gets 5 stars easily! Out of about 5 contractors they were the only ones that responded and they did so very quickly. Great communication throughout the entire process. They gave me a quote and scheduled our job within about a week. Their crew of 4, including the owner, arrived on time. They were very friendly, went over everything with us and got to work wiring and installing four can lights with a dimmer switch in our living room. I was expecting them to be here a few hours but they were finished in an hour. The lights look great - as if they'd always been here - and make a huge difference in our living room. There was a lot of dust from cutting into the ceiling for the light holes, which I fully expected, and they covered the floor and furniture with tarps to cut down on the dust but you can't eliminate it all. We didn't mind spending 15 minutes going over the floor and furniture when they were finished because it was well worth a little dust to see the lights so professionally installed. They will be our electrician for any future needs! read more

Just had there family owned company come over, they knew there stuff the sons were great and worked hard and did most of the work and got the job done! The owner needs patience and customer service skills to be retuned again, I understand hot days and maybe personal things going on can cause someone to not be the happiest but after we had a misunderstanding and I apologized for my behalf the experience just kept getting worse. I have used Egan Electric multiple times for electrical projects in my home, the first being a circuit addition and charger for my EV vehicle and the most recent; ceiling fan replacements in cathedral ceilings. For so many years (must be 20 years now) they have taken great action on our electrical systems at our home and at our office. When we have a problem they respond right away.
