Our appointment was at 2:30 PM, yet we weren't taken back until 3:30 PM -- a full hour late. Meanwhile, I watched multiple people who checked in after us walk right in before us. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Just complete disregard for our time. When we finally got seen, everything felt rushed, cold, and sloppy. They used what felt like a basic, non-professional camera to take photos of my child's teeth, which only made the whole appointment seem even more careless. And to make things worse, it looked to me like they had tools sitting out in the check-in area, which gave a terrible first impression and made the office feel completely disorganized. And the worst part? The orthodontist told me my child needed braces first and then the extra tooth removed. But every other dentist, orthodontist, and oral surgeon we spoke to afterward gave the opposite treatment plan -- that the extra tooth should be removed first, and then braces. Hearing completely opposite opinions made the whole situation feel even more frustrating and made me lose confidence in this office entirely. There was no clear communication, no reassurance for my child, and no sense that anyone cared about how stressful this was for us. In my experience, this establishment is horrible -- disorganized, inconsiderate, and not somewhere I would ever trust with my child again. I left furious, disappointed, and determined never to return. If you're a parent, my honest advice is this: go anywhere else. Save yourself the stress, the confusion, and the wasted time.

I then said that I still wanted my teeth straightened and the doctor did the procedure. I ended up looking worse with blackened eyes and jowls in early 20s. And yes, the lip position was terrible. I've never seen someone look so awful after orthodontic work. "Grotesque" is the word and I'm aging terribly. Someone with more integrity and emotional balance would have thoroughly explained why the procedure wouldn't work, waited until he could explain better, and have referred me to someone else before starting in. I guess all he could think about was how much was revenue he was going to collect that year. Or maybe he just doesn't like questions or dealing with people. He didn't like when I said I couldn't breathe at night or that my ears were filling with fluid due to the extreme narrowing of my arch. This man had zero respect for me or the money or time invested. I didn't appreciate the one assistant's snarks about my appearance, or being told off by a recent (often unbalanced and snotty) receptionist, either. Luckily, I believe both have moved on.

Many, many appointments were canceled or rescheduled…read moreby the office so care was very inconsistent because when appointments were canceled, the office wouldn't reschedule for a month or more. The reasons for canceling included things like "Sorry, but Dr. Sorbero forgot to put her vacation on the calendar". This is not the way to run a professional office. The office manager has been openly hostile with me even when I was maintaining a professional and cordial demeanor. Treatment is run like an assembly line. Neither the staff nor Dr. Sorbero seem to see the patient as a person and no regard is given for comfort. Be ready to have your mouth cut unnecessary because the focus is only on the braces without any consideration for the sensitive tissue nearby that is being torn by the wire and implements. Procedures and a treatment plan are not discussed. Patients should have to struggle to schedule an appointment. Appointments shouldn't be delayed for an entire month simply for the sake of the practice. Care should be taken so that the patient's mouth isn't shredded by the procedure. And the office manager needs further training or a non-patient contact position. Simply put: If you can be treated by a different orthodontist, do so.

At the end, there was only me and one other patient in the waiting area, who checked in long after I did.
