Office refuses to update operating hours on phone greeting. Closing time is at 4pm. Greeting says 5:15pm -- as of today no change. How hard is it too update the phone greeting the correct information. This is one major problem with the office. The list is long. Terrible office manager, Sandra. Another issue -- automated system directs one to press # for refills, appointments, referrals and etc. all # option go to referrals. The portal is useless. It is not fully operational. The staff check it half the times. There is a major communication problem. Questions go unanswered. Emails go unanswered. It's not clear which telephone number to call at times. Elizabeth is always making serious errors and never wants to admit her fault but instead becomes defensive, loud and rude. Jordan says one thing and Elizabeth says the opposite within the same day (exactly 30mins apart). The office send blood orders to Quest now. Make sure your order is FAXED and not sent electronically because they are likely to forget to do electronically and have waiting the patient at quest waiting for hours for the order -- then the blame game starts. Overall inconsistency. Perhaps the patient load is too much for this staff. I was placed on hold once by Elizabeth. She returned to the phone thinking I was another patient and told me all her medical issues. She didn't confirm who was on the line before speaking. I said nothing and she finally figured out her mistake. No privacy. The office hates giving referrals so why even offer it. Dr Garcia is nice and very very very personable but he's the only doctor and seem to be absent frequently. The office always gives the excuse "the doctor is not in todays" when they do not want to their job. Basically if you are relatively healthy do not use this practice. Hopefully they put more priority on the those who are particularly ill, even some of them are complaining. read more

I can't even begin to tell you how unimpressed I was with the staff in this office. I was referred to the PA - Michael Sanchez. The doctor was nice and I had no problems with him. My problems are the incredibly rude people in the office. I went for a biometric screening so a quick blood draw as a preventative measure and we were good to go. The problem was that they wouldn't release the results unless I scheduled an appointment, even though the doctor said I could just pick up the form and carry on. So I had to leave work, wait 15 minutes in the waiting room and another 45 in the examining room to be told that everything was fine. At one point I asked the receptionist if I could please just have the paperwork signed and leave (I have a ton of doc and nurse friends who can answer questions if I need it) and she said no results if I didn't see him. So I continued waiting. Once the PA came in he seemed surprised I stayed if I needed to get back to work. Ugh. Now, after the my copayment check cleared 4 mo this ago I am receiving a past due statement! I didn't want to write a negative review. Not usually my style. I have been a patient of this office for the past years, yesterday I developed symptoms from Monkey Pox, I contact my Ryan White manager and he recommended me to contact the office of Dr. Efrain Garcia, what I did, it was in the afternoon 2:38pm, the Manager and the front desk told me that was too late and they were ready to leave for the day, their office claims to close at 5:00pm. When comes to health, pain and emergency (Emergency correlated to the office specialty - Infections Disease), unfortunately the patient on file can't wait until the next day. They gave me two options in a very abrupt way, the end of the next day appointment or go to the ER. I went to the ER at Jackson Hospital and I was tested positive from Monkey Pox. This morning I called Elizabeth the front desk and also the Manager Sandra Lopez that was very rude in a point that I never experienced before. Sandra Lopez really treated me aggressively. So sad to know that people who work in that position does not care about others pain or sick status. So unfortunately sad. Facing this situation of a non proper relationship between patient and provider/staff, I requested to be referral to another office. I hope with this review Sandra Lopez the manager and Elizabeth Siu the front desk understand that been kind and empathetic is always welcome when comes to patient/provider relationship. He is the worse doctor that I have ever had. Caused a severe infection that took 3 operations. Terrible long waits,cannot contact him-unresponsive,tiny,dirty old office,smelly waiting room. Does not care about anything except money. Avoid at all cost this grumpy old man. read more

The staff at Dr. Garcia's office is useless and rude. I made an appointment to see Dr. Garcia. I spoke to his staff twice: once to confirm my insurance information (which they had apparently taken down incorrectly) and another to confirm the date and time of my appointment. In the two conversations that I had with his staff not once did anyone mention that as a new patient I was required to be there 1/2 an hour prior to my appointment time. In fact, I specifically asked about my appointment time and his offices confirmed the time and made no mention of his "1/2 an hour rule." I arrived at my appointment at the scheduled time and they informed me that the doctor could not see me because I had not arrived 1/2 an hour prior to my appointment time as required. His staff informed me that there was nothing they could do and told me I needed to reschedule. I guess they don't realize how difficult is for working mothers to take time off from work for an appointment that has been schedule weeks in advance. I told them I would be rescheduling with a different doctor. I've heard that Dr. Garcia is a good doctor but with a staff like one can't help but to wonder. read more
