As a guest at the Hilton Sedona Resort At Bell Rock, one of the many amenities I was afforded was access to the Eforea Spa At Hilton. The spa offered world-renowned treatments inspired by Sedona's magnetic energy and therapies designed to balance, soothe, and nourish the mind, body, and soul. Compliment your treatment with a dive into their refreshing 25-meter outdoor lap pool, decompress in their whirlpool, or unwind in their soothing eucalyptus steam room and dry sauna." I rarely took advantage of any spa facilities whenever I stayed at a hotel (if available), but if there was a pool (indoors or outdoors), I easily gravitated to that! Was I all for this Hilton spa in Sedona!? PURCHASE Although there was a gift/merchandise shop, there wasn't anything I needed - 'nuff said. EXPERIENCE I briefly explored the indoor gym and hopped onto the treadmill for a light 30-minute job before I made my way to the pool, grabbed a patio lounger, donned my earplugs and swim goggles, and took the plunge in my own lane. This water baby was as happy as a clam as I stroked back and forth, flipped at the walls, and enjoyed the 82° water temperatures (apparently they kept it at this level all of the time!) while the air temperatures started at a balmy mid-80s in the morning. An hour of swimming each morning really got my day going and was ready for the world. Thank goodness for the pool! SERVICE Each day I visited, I was warmly greeted at the front desk by a different lovely young woman who asked to see my room key, had me sign in, and then patiently provided me with a rundown of all the spa had to offer, etc. I swore, each woman's voice was like an ASMR session that put me at ease and nearly to sleep! Once that was all done, I was left to my own devices. Towels were readily available for whatever usage. You had to exit the same way you entered, so I was given cheery goodbyes each time I left - awesome! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance) I was granted complimentary parking at the hotel based on my Honors status. No services were provided because the Spa reception team cannot follow reasonable requests. The appointment was booked well in advance of our stay. I asked for a female therapist and the spa scheduled me with a male. Moreover, they couldn't provide a female therapist within the remainder of our stay. (One spot was open and it was during our dinner reservations for the evening) I was looking forward to a relaxing afternoon and got nothing. I also have to echo how old and unkempt the spa is. There isn't enough chlorine in that hot tub to entice me to use it. read more

The best thing about this space is, was Debra. The hostess/concierge, who helped us use and make sure we had everything we needed. The aesthetics at the front desk were elegant and inviting. The sauna was extra hot, but the steam room needs improvement. The inside of the spa amenities were lacking luxury. Very outdated and hospital like. The waiting area was welcoming and comfortable. The spa treatment itself was subpar,but the massage beds and lotions were excellent. The pool, extremely disappointed that alcoholic beverages were not offered or allowed inside the spa or pool area. In fact the pool doesn't have a server,food , or water available at all. It's simply a lap pool. He did a wonderful deep tissue/trigger point massage with stretching and wonderful aroma therapy and hot stones. I can't wait to come back and see him! Booked a couples massage for my husband and I's first wedding anniversary two weeks before our stay. The day of the massage I checked my email to see if I could find anything from the spa about when we should arrive. When I realized we never got a confirmation email, I became suspicious and called the spa. Turns out there were no massages booked under my name. I booked directly with the spa over the phone and had spoken with an employee. I had given them my credit card information and everything. My husband and I had been looking forward to this since we booked and it was extremely disappointing to find we did not have an appointment. Rather than the spa employees empathizing and taking responsibility for their mistake, we were treated as though we had never called and were just some people trying to squeeze into their completely booked schedule. I had the great pleasure of having a spa treatment (facial) with Lisa during my stay in Sedona a few weeks ago. Lisa was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the needs of my skin. She had great bedside manner, which, in my opinion, makes all the difference during the treatment. My skin looked and felt rejuvenated. Lisa also provided helpful recommendations and changes to my daily skin routine. Additionally, the spa facility was clean and very inviting with complimentary use of their hot tub, sauna and locker room with showers. So my husband booked a couples massage during our recent stay at the Hilton Sedona, and it was the most uncomfortable massage I have ever received. First of all I have a size 9 foot so their slippers didn't fit me at all and that was the first thing I did is try to walk squeezing into a too small slipper. The ambience is not bad, place seems clean. We go to the massage though and immediately my masseuse has very awkward energy. She asked me which area to focus on, and I said low back, and we began. It was the pinchiest, most knuckle used massaged I have ever had. I asked her to stop using her knuckles on the third time she was using them on my feet and she just did it harder. She asked me to flip over as she was done with my back and had not even touched my lower back. I had to ask her to please do it as it was my area of focus and she acted so confused like she had never touched a lower back before. I was trying not to ruin my husband's massage or honestly I would have asked her to stop halfway through. I have never been glad when a massage was over before in my life, and I was so relieved when she was done. It was uncomfortable, and the opposite of relaxing. She didn't rub the side of my legs or buttocks at all, it was like she hadn't touched a body before and didn't know how. I told both the front desk ladies that I was not happy, and wanted to talk to someone about it. One said sorry and handed me my $300 bill for both my husband and I's hour couple's massage with $60 gratitude already added, and you have to cross it out to change it which is just awkward, and the other gave me a comment card. I filled it out, and I also emailed them and never heard back, so I gave them several chances to rectify the issue and never heard back so I am being very honest with my review. The two stars are for the staff. When you walk in, Gabi is at the front and two days in a row was very rude, doesn't greet you warmly, no smile and honestly is a brat. She was irritated that my husband was asking questions and trying to make her laugh and barked at me as I walked over to look at the gym class schedule cuz she has to "check my temp". My bestie and I were guests of the Hilton BellRock and she booked a spa day for us on the perfect day - the day it snowed! Nothing like a day of pampering to take the chill off. As a woman of a certain size, I always worry that spa robes won't fit around me, but the robes at Eforea are buttery, generous, and luxurious. I started with a mani-pedi with Heidi (the other Deb started with the clay wrap)and let myself relax into the zen ambience of the nail room. Clean, sleek, and nicely appointed, my manicure was first. Not only am I from Minnesota, the land of cracked and bleeding winter cuticles, I'm a sculptor and working with clay exacerbates things. Heidi started not by soaking my hands and the cutting off my cuticles, but by dry polishing them and filing my nails with a tiny Dremel. It was smooth and pleasant and so much nicer. She dabbed liquid bandage on my bleeding cuticle and buffed my nails to a glossy shine (I eschew polish because of digging in clay; it peels right off). After the soak, a hand massage, and a lovely almond masque, we moved on to the pedicure. The same dry dremel technique smoothed out my nails, followed by a salt scrub and a soak in warm, fizzy water with the lights dimmed. The polish went on smoothly and cleanly and it was my turn for the red clay wrap. After a brief interlude in the Stillpoint lounge area (soft chaises, dim lights, gentle scents, cucumber water) I was taken back to the Vichy room. There I doffed my robe and settled face down onto a shallow tub table with a thick pad and layers of towels. Yep, you are totally naked, but the various drapes and towels provide complete modesty. I was given an exfoliating scrub on both sides, then face up Tana began to apply the red clay to my arms and legs and stomach. She had me sit up and slathered my back, then laid me back down to be swathed in plastic wrap and towels. As I lay there detoxifying in clay, she administered a vigorous scalp massage. Upon being unwrapped, the "Vichy" shower is administered. Lying flat, a long arm of warm water jets is moved gently back and forth across your body, washing away the clay into the porcelain tub beneath you. Marvelous. Then you are dried with warm towels and a Shea butter cream stroked all over your now-glowing skin. This was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it. read more

I was happy to have had booked a massage, facial and brow sculpting. I also did a gym session prior to my spa day, so glad I found a gym with everything I needed including a squat rack. Allistar (excuse my bad spelling) did my massage and he was great 10/10 massage session. Super knowledgeable guy, very easy to talk to and you can tell he loves his job. I was also lucky to have Lisa take care if my facial and brow sculpting. She was very special and I was able to connect with her in the short period of time. Lisa took her time with my brows and it shows how hard she worked at getting my brows perfect. The spa overall was clean and the people who worked there were friendly. I'm grateful to have had such a wonderful experience. I've been to many spas so I know what I'm saying and I know what to look for. Call ahead before your trip. I booked a prenatal massage and soothing facial couple weeks before my trip and even that was hard to get an appointment. A couples massage with my husband. I had a prenatal massage, and he had a deep tissue for 50 minutes. It was so wonderful and truly enhanced our trip. They provide a warm robe and slip on shoes in a locker where you leave your things. I chose to wear my own slip on sandals that I had on, but my husband wore the shoes and said they were comfy. You then walk to a relaxing waiting area that is private from the front desk, and then you're walked to your room. They took time to hear what we needed and adjusted throughout the massage. My massage was so lovely and gentle, and I felt so cared for in my pregnancy. My husband was given suggestions on how to work on trouble areas and what causes them. They were wonderful. They do add gratuity at 20% for you, but you have the option to adjust. We felt they more than earned the 20% and were good with it. Wish I could've started everyday this way honestly. read more

I was a guest at the Hilton Sedona Resort last week and took advantage of taking two yoga classes during my stay. The facility was nice, the staff was friendly and the instructors were good. This was probably the worst massage I have ever experienced. I booked a 90 minute Swedish with Hiro. He was recommended by the front desk staff based off what I was looking for in a massage. Upon my initial consultation during the time of my massage I told him exactly what I needed work on and exactly the type of pressure I was looking for; he nodded and confirmed my concerns before exiting the treatment room to begin. Once the massage started and I immediately knew it was going to be bad. He used too much oil, didn't increase pressure when I asked, used the same techniques and strokes over and over again to the point of annoyance, not to mention the massage didn't portray a "Swedish" feel at all(did a lot of acupressure), didn't securely drape which left me feeling exposed and uncomfortable, and didn't focus more time to my areas of tension I voiced initially. At the end of my service he asked how I felt and honestly, I felt worse than I did when I arrived and I made sure to voice it. I can appreciate every massage therapist's trade and specialty, but when a client books a specific service and tells you exactly what they want, you need to fill that request. I will add that the front desk staff was very friendly upon arrival and sympathetic to my experience when leaving. read more

I booked a couples massage at this spa since I stayed at Hilton bell rock. The massage I had was great, after I advised the masseuse to decrease the pressure. My girlfriend didn't have a very pleasant experience, she said her massage was just okay. And that her masseuse used extremely too much oil. I have been to better spas and paid a lesser price. Two 90 minute massages here cost me 378 dollars . This was with the Valentine's Day special they were running. I like the fact they have an indoor hot tub but I wish it would've been separated from the women's locker room. I would've liked to have more privacy, and not have to watch women getting undressed in front of me. I loved the soothing music, and the customer service. The massages could've added more of a personal touch. I felt they were the traditional just oil and rub down massages. For close to 400 dollars bring out the works!! Also what rubbed me the wrong way is how they preadd the 20% gratuity to your bill. Now you do have the option to change it but you feel bad when you do ! Let people add their own gratuity! All in all the spa was decent and it was a pleasant experience for me ! read more

I went in for a gel French manicure for my wedding the following day to ensure no chipping for my big day. Was talked OUT of gel to get dazzle or razzle (the only brand of polish they carry other than gel) and I was guaranteed that it is almost like gel and that it does not chip- it would just fade. Well, it chipped the morning of my wedding on several nails- and not just the pinkish part, the white lines were chipped off of the edges. Needless to say, I was furious. Since then, each day my manicure (which cost as much as a gel manicure in any regular nail salon) has chipped more and more, now on my honeymoon.
