I would give 0 stars if I could…read more A series of very shady practices unfolded after hiring Stephen to apply colored epoxy to our pool steps and coping before replacing the liner. Its a simple enough job, you only need a business account to obtain the product, mix A and B together, and apply. 1. He wasn't reachable by phone to get our project started. I had to track him down on social media. 2. He never used the deposit to buy the materials, so he called my husband in hysterics to beg for more money to purchase the paint. We denied, and so he worked it out with someone who refers him. 3. After a series of lies and delays, he showed up visibly amped up and completed what was quoted as a six hour job in under two. He did not repair the steps before painting over them as discussed. The result was a rushed mess that needed to be sanded and refinished, and having painted over screws caused further delays. Stephen left dried, hardened drips everywhere the eyes could see and other spots were left bare. He spent more time taping than painting. Everything was on camera. 4. He did not give a reason as to why he did such a poor job, but admitted to it, and still expected full payment. He offered to come back and fix it, but he ran out of chances with us. He later minimized the damage, implying that I was being unreasonable. My photos say otherwise. Stephen prides himself on a 5 year warranty when he cannot even complete the job right the first time. Do NOT trust him, or give any money up front. If you risk it, don't pay until you examine the finished work first-hand. I decided to post here after he called me an obscenity for asking for a refund to cover the added repair costs and delays. Having researched him, I see he has burned many others and does not work with integrity. Stephen may have been decent at one time, but something is definitely wrong with this man. Please BEWARE!
