Great work. Professional. Have already recommended to friends. Thank you so much. Pool fence looks great.

We had a great experience from beginning to end with this company. I would absolutely to business with Paul again. They were reasonably priced and their craftsmanship was top quality. He also helped in the design phase of our project. It would be a mistake not to include them in your search for your own project. read more

I recently purchased a new but old home that needed a staircase remodel stat! I have always wanted a dramatic staircase in my entry way as it makes such a statement when you walk in and I was deciding between having a wood banister with wrought iron spindles created or a wrought iron panel created (I have an appreciation for iron work!). After calling several contractors and getting no responses, I decided to call Efficient Iron Works and so glad that I did. Paul immediately took my call and we set up an appointment for an estimate. I showed him several photos of wrought iron panels I was interested in and when he came for the estimate and told me the price, I decided to go for it. I picked out a design and paint color for the wrought iron panel and iron banister. The process took about 2 months--Paul is very meticulous. First, he measures everything during the first visit. Then after choosing the design, he goes back to his shop to create a template. He then came back to my house to make sure the template fit correctly and then, he works at his shop to create this beautiful art piece made out of iron. About 6 weeks later, my piece was ready and he came to demo the existing stair railing and banister and then brought the wrought iron panel to be fitted. There were slight adjustments to be made so he brought it back to the shop to make sure everything was perfect and then it was painted. He came back the following week to install and I couldn't be happier. He even painted the leaves on the panel with some gold paint (nothing too audacious but just enough to add some sparkle) and he had a helper with him who cleaned up afterwards. My staircase is really a piece of art and livened up my entire entryway. Photos do not do it justice!! The price (although not the cheapest) is actually super reasonable considering the amount of work that Paul puts into each piece. Plus, it was much more reasonable than other quotes I received (when I finally did hear back from other contractors). Highly recommended! Thank you Paul!!! read more

Estimate was for a deck cable rail and it was all done by submitting pictures over the phone. Did not come out to the house for the estimate and was way over priced. Over $24,000 for 150 ft steel cable deck railing. Thanks, but no thanks... read more

This business is the worst!!! Paul is so flakey on call backs and can't figure out his schedule. It's a wonder he can keep straight whether he's coming or going. It's such a pleasure to work with Paul, the owner of Efficient Iron Works. He helped design our railing & gates that turned out great! He has very good work ethic. He goes the extra mile for us in making a sample to show us how the design will look before going forward. We got his full attention during the project. He is a craftsman but also an artist & a professional. Definitely we'll work together again in our next project. read more

So this review is long over due. I want to start off by saying (the owner) Paul is an absolute top not professional. From start to finish Paul was great to work with. We started our project when the pandemic first hit. Like many other projects during this time, our upper level renovation took much longer than expected. Paul was completely understanding and worked closely with us to align our schedules to make sure everything was installed correctly and on time. We worked together on this custom design to come up with something that matched our mid century modern interior aesthetic. We had inspiration photos as references, and Paul went with it to create something totally unique, and we couldn't be more happy. If you're on the fence about choosing a contractor for any iron work that needs to be done, I can assure you that you will have no regrets with EIW and Paul! Affordable, accommodating, and 100% professional! read more

We want to thank Paul and Efficient Iron Works for the excellent job they did in installing our new stair railing. After interviewing multiple vendors from yelp, Paul stood out as the most competent with the best price. He offered us multiple options and provided an itemized breakdown in price rather than a vague amount like the other vendors we spoke to. He continuously updated us on where the project was and most importantly, he always responded quickly to our texts and messages which provided a lot of reassurance. He met the time frame that we agreed on and was actually done much faster than the quoted time frames of the other vendors. We saw a lot of positive reviews on Paul and Efficient Iron Works and can testify first hand that those reviews are accurate. We look forward to working with Paul and his team again once were ready to begin our next home project!! read more

Efficient Iron Works did a great job. I needed to replace an iron gate to my backyard. Paul came out and gave me a reasonable quote. He later returned and did a great job installing the pedestrian gate. He also painted an existing gate on the other side of the house so it looked new too. Paul was professional and personable. Paul Lazalde of Efficient Iron Works did an EXCELLENT JOB and I highly recommend Paul! My elderly mom needed iron hand rails installed at her front door in San Diego. We asked Paul and one of his competitors to come out to make suggestions and provide written estimates. By far, Paul was more impressive, a licensed professional who showed up on time, provided us with design and color suggestions and his installation on a later date was perfect. My mom is very pleased with the hand rails. They make her home safer and enhance the appearance of the front door area. So, thank you Paul!!! read more

Paul and his crew did a terrific job for us. We had 7-8 wrought iron fencing and rail repairs, some of which were a little complex, and they were all done extremely well. Paul was able to come by for an estimate the same day I contacted him, which was great. Paul's work ethic is commendable!! He gave me the most reasonable price from all the quotes I received and he stand by his promise. The fence and sliding gate looks great. Always a pleasure doing business with this company. Paul Lazalde is very professional, friendly, and I highly recommend his company.

I tried to reach Mr.Paul several times but I had no answer. I have to say that finding an iron fabricator is not easy, most people don't really need one. But when you do, it helps to rely on a recommendation . I,would use service again and give him a 5 star rating. read more

Paul did such a wonderful job on our balcony rail for our home. Excellent service, quality products very trustworthy & beautiful product.

Paul re-hung our driveway gates and built our pedestrian gate. Excellent work, affordable price, highly recommend!!

I wanted to update our railings in 3 areas of my San Diego home and made the job even more intricate by using the same wood cap so Paul had to really use his skill to create his railings to spec. We made many changes to update the look and he worked closely with me during the decision factor, adding his expertise to help me get the design I was looking for. It's a several step process, but so worth it, since Paul makes sure the railings fit the space and are secure and to my liking. He's very talented and can really create any kind of gate or rail, with simple detail or elaborate design. I have already referred him and will have him come back for future outdoor rails. I would highly recommend him, as it's truly worth it to have the quality and style provided by such a wonderful professional. read more

We called up Efficient Iron Works based on its excellent Yelp reviews and we were so very happy that we did. We are a small business that has been around for 17 years with no break ins, but, just in the past 6 months we have suffered through two of them.We have a big glass door and windows that create a well lit and open feel. Our door was shattered twice. We called looking for options to the traditional full wood or metal door. We wanted something with architechtural beauty and still allowing light in. Something that was not hugely expensive and offered at a fair price. Small business does not always equal large income. Paul took care of us in an efficient and artistic way. He offered us a very creative solution to a very frustrating issue. He designed and installed a beautiful and secure lockable metal powdercoated barrier that is designed for security and streamlined beauty. Well done Paul! We thank you and appreciate your professionalism. read more
