This is a great local business that's genuinely easy to work with. Everything was smooth from the very first email quote, to a personal product demonstration, to scheduling the install. On top of that, they came in at the lowest price compared to two other competitors we got quotes from. The install crew showed up on time and were friendly and professional. Honestly, everyone we dealt with was professional from the initial sales appointment all the way through installation. The crew was incredibly efficient too, from the install itself right through to cleanup. We also had a chance to see their service after the sale. When our sliding door glass shattered and needed to be replaced, we called River City Windows and they ordered the glass right away. Within a couple of weeks, the sliding door glass was replaced with no hassle at all. Highly recommend River City Windows if you're looking for quality work, fair prices, and a company that stands behind their products and treats you right.

If you need windows or glass repaired, talk to Carlos and Nancy! Awesome husband and wife team!…read more Happened to be at my parents' house and noticed a lot of the windows were older and difficult to open. Remembered Glassman to the Rescue when I was doing windows research in the past. They had tons of 5 star Yelp reviews, which is why they were at the top of my contact list. Texted Nancy (the "glass girl" and wife of the Glassman) and she responded very quickly. Carlos the Glassman was able to stop by the same day (within the hour!) and taught me about how to keep the older windows lubricated. He sprayed on some magic stuff and wow, they were like brand new! He could have easily replaced parts and suggested new valances to make more money but he was honest with me and said that new valances would have issues in the future too. Very grateful for Carlos and Nancy's responsiveness today and for helping us with the windows! Will keep them in mind for future windows and glass repairs!

However, as we discussed installation, he insisted that no ceiling brace would be needed when the weight-bearing wall was removed, and that " a couple of two by fours" was an acceptable alternative to the standard 4 by 10 inch header. When we insisted that both a temporary brace and header were essential, his bid increased by about 50%. Grant also told us that the only window manufacturer he used could NOT make a window with the coating we desired. He refused to even call and ask them, so we did, finding they were more than happy to meet our request, at no additional cost. We were relieved to have someone else do the install. BEWARE.

Like other people on this review, we also experienced pretty aggressive sales reps. For reference,…read moreI am a woman. The first time they came out, the sales rep looks me up and down and said where is my husband? I confidently told the two sales reps I would be happy to hear their quote and would go present it to my husband when he was off work. My husband had a five minute break and the sales rep said "what's up brother?" and was very personable with him. It was a whole different attitude than with me. They showed us some of the product but refused to have a seat with me without my husband. We vocalized this with the company and they mentioned they would give us a discount. Then, we had a second meeting with them and I had answered the door. The same guy that had asked for the location of my husband was the one they sent, even though they said they would send another person. When I told them I would be starting the meeting first and then my husband would join at his lunch break, they were uncomfortable with it unless I was "the queen of the household." When it came to the meeting, they stated they would take only 45 minutes to an hour. That was a lie because they took nearly 2 hours of our time, with most of the time being small talk rather than actual business talk. It felt like a waste of time. They did offer us the discount and a teacher discount, which is ultimately why we went with this company. They called their boss and asked for everything then said oh here's a $5,000 discount. I said no thanks and they called again, where they had told us and written in the contract that we would be receiving the rock and siding for the price of the siding. When it came to the job starting, the men were not informed about this and their job description said only siding. We had to contact them 3 times before answering about the job. They said it would be hours until they could figure out the error in the contract. I told them that I would either take the completed job or to have $9,000 knocked off my bill. I gave 3 stars solely because of the workers that did the siding. They were very kind and did the job well. The rest of the experience was negative and not seamless.

From the start of the…read morevisit, he made himself a bit too comfortable by stating he would come inside and get to know us, which set an off tone immediately. When I respectfully declined the quoted price, the interaction became uncomfortable. Rather than acknowledging my decision, CJ repeatedly pushed the sale despite my clear and repeated "no." When I explained that I could only afford the minimum, he pivoted to financing options I had also already declined. At no point did he read the room or respect that I had made my decision. The visit ended abruptly and rudely, as he walked off the property with the trainee accompanying him, leaving me feeling disrespected in my own home. I would encourage this company to invest in updated sales training for their team. High-pressure tactics do not close sales, and more importantly, they have no place on someone's personal property. Respect goes a long way, and unfortunately, it was absent from this interaction entirely.
