We went here when we visited Meppel. This pub/restaurant seemed to be the busiest in the area. We took a seat outside and managed to order some drinks. They had an English menu available on request. I found the service very slow here, not sure if it was because we were not Dutch but it took ages to get served and then receive the bill. Food was reasonably priced. We both ordered the mussels in garlic and cream sauce. This was served with chips, bread and pasta salad: carb overload! The chips were delicious and the mussels were tasty some were a little gritty but the sauce they were cooked in was flavoursome and the portion of mussels plentiful. They also had a few deals on when we visited including 3 meals which were priced at around €10 each. read more
