Melvin is the by far the best club restoration expert you have in your backyard (for those lucky enough to live in KC-metro).

Now that I have the 1 shaft I bought I will leave a review. I will say the selection of club and…read moreknowledge of the fitters is good (as expected for a fitting store) HOWEVER, their upcharge and pricing is 100% trash. I golf quite a bit and have changed my fair share of equipment, for just irons shafts, not even new irons, they quoted me $1600 just in parts (160 per shaft). That is a $100 upcharge per shaft and that didn't include the grips or the SST Puring. These are steel shafts not even new graphites. What's worse is they stood behind this saying this was the normal price for them (KBS S-Tapers) realistically you can buy these shafts raw for about $60-64/each, then spend another $100-115 for all grips, then another $200ish for labor to have them cut and built. An entire new iron shaft set should cost around $900-1200. Now I understand it's a business and service and they need to make a profit but that is entirely outrageous and a ripoff to people who don't know better. Heres what I'll say...go there, get your fitting done, get the spec sheets for what equipment you settle on, and buy elsewhere. Purchasing anything through them is a bigger waste of money then even our govt can compete with. I give 2 stars because they did have equipment variety, decently knowledgeable fitters, though they're more salesman since they're paid on commission and interviewed as such.

Tyler help test and fit me for what I hope will help me knock some strokes off my game! I will only know this once I get the putter and get some rounds in playing with it. He worked with me for quite some time with several different brands to help me in my choice. I hope everything pays off in the long run. Thanks Tyler

This club goes for about 120 max online in good condition. I didn't wanna call this out in the store but it's absolutely ridiculous. My dad claims "I like to support small businesses" fair enough but this guy is basically a con man. I came in with a head of Paradym X and told him the shaft broke which it did. (The shaft broke just because of extensive use.) he tried to tell me that it wasn't because of the shaft it was because of my swing/ball contact. Now I'm totally up for constructive criticism but this is just a red flag for multiple reasons. For one it isn't true because the day it broke I was hitting drives consistently 280 in the fairway so I know for a fact it wasn't off the heel. Another reason comes from a business perspective it dosent seem like that would be the best thing to say if you're trying to sell something to someone. The last thing is that he claimed to be a big Mizuno fan which I'm starting to think was a lie because my dad told him that we both love Mizuno. My dad told him he has mp 20 hmb irons which he does and his first response was, are you sure those are real? He said that Mizuno only maid irons in odd numbers. This is just false but the icing on the cake was when he claimed that he then used mp 60 irons in his bag which is an even number. Moral of the story is we were in there for less then 30 minutes and was by far the worst shopping experience I've ever had 1/10 would not recommend stay away.

It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.
