Smaller version of the primary location but still a well attended business with seasonal apples and jars full of tasty sauces and the donuts served warm are excellent choices. Didn't get any cider since I couldn't refrigerate it in a reasonable time. The workers are very pleasant and are patient with visitors. read more

My family has made a stop at Edward's West a tradition for the past 10+ years and hopefully it will continue on for many more. We've witnessed many of the property improvements made throughout the years. New barns, improved play areas for kiddos and new concessions just to name a few. The main reason for our stop is the apple cider donuts. They may be me favorite of all the orchards I've been too. Fresh and hot right out of the fryer, these donuts have that slight crunchy exterior but are incredibly moist on the inside. Topped with some cinnamon sugar and you have a delicious fall treat. You can also find a great selection of other food items and fall decor. It's definitely worth a stop. read more

Just as good as the original but not as crowded. They have a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, apples, and gourds galore. The apple cidar donuts are delicious and the Fudge is chef's kiss. read more

We have been visiting the Popular Grove Edward's Orchard every year since 1991 however if we want just a little something like a donut we will go to this one. The employees here are not quite as friendly or helpful as the Popular Grove one. You can buy apples, cider, mums, jarred things & knick knacks here. They do not serve hot cider here until the first day of Autumn unless you happen to go on a chilly wet day like we did. It is also nice to know you can only use cash at the counter seving the drinks. The parking is on gravel and there are quite a few handicap accessible spots and the restrooms are accessible as well. read more

Stopped in for donuts the weekend to start the apple season. The service was fast and check out was quick and the lady was very friendly and courteous. We tried the apple cider jug to go and it was tasty. If your looking for good treats and fun place for the kids to burn off energy this is the place. Just be respectful as there are live animals, and this is some ones home. They have a few signs posted so guessing there have been challenges. BTW they have plenty of parking and its easy to get into and out of the lot. I love this location after going to the main one for years. read more

Good donuts and cider. Nice little place. I guess the 4 is just because I didn't feel as wowed as every one made it out to be

Fabulous hot apple donuts. Even have day old. We bought apple donuts, apple cider and apple dog treats. We will be back for more donuts and cider before the end of the season!! Lots of activities for kids with wagon rides and play area. The mums are beautiful and reasonably priced. read more

All the same great stuff of the main Edward's Apple Orchard with only a fraction of the people. Please keep going to the other one so it's less crowded for me :) The route there was under construction and had to detour around, but signs were well marked. read more

Love it but PLEASE. PAVE your parking area! Sitting here in a sandstorm, about to have asthma attack. When it rains it's all mucky. With the wonderful business you do, should have been done years ago! read more

Old lady in the store can use a lesson in customer service. My family came after harvest and first frost. Since there were no apples on the trees we picked some up off the ground that weren't too brown and took a picture holding them. My son decided to continue eating his. We went into the store and walked around fo a while. I noticed the old lady eye balling my son as he walked around the store. Where ever he went her eyes went with a dirty look on her face. I thought it was strange but didn't think much of it. They weren't busy so she didn't have much else to do I guess. We had about $140 worth of things from the store to buy when we went up to the registers. There was on other customer behind us. As we are walking up there was one other customer behind us. The young cashier that the old lady was talking to was very quick to ask us (before saying hello or anything else) was "we noticed the little guy was snacking on an apple where did he get that from". Before I could even get my story out of my mouth the angry old lady was quick to reply (even though the customer behind me was at her counter) "well then that will cost you $1 bc if everyone here did that we would have a huge problem!!! ". It was in a very rude tone that she couldn't wait to get out all while she ignored the customers at her register. It wasn't the $1 she was wanting to charge me that was the issue. I get what she was trying to say, although she could have used a different tone. If it was that big of an issue she could have addressed it when she first noticed it quietly not in front of other customers. What bothers me here is how she eyeballed my son and my family the entire time and then waited until we got to the registers and says it very loudly in front of other customers that she was ignoring. We decided we didn't want to spend our money at a business that would employ such a poor employee and told them they can put back the $140 worth of items we would have bought had the old lady acted in a more professional manner about the issue. Had she handled it correctly I would have happily handed over the $1 for the post harvest apple and completed my purchase. It's too bad this employee that needs a lesson in customer service has reunited my family's perception of all Edwards Apple Orchard locations and brands. I have grown up going there and up until this day brought my kids there multiple times per year. read more

Great apple orchard close to Rockford. Great for a fall afternoon with the family. Activities for all ages.

Smaller version of Poplar Grove but much less busy. I LOVE the apple cider slushes and the other location does not have them. They also have corn kernel sensory areas and a cool little school house and tractors to sit on. read more

I took my children here when the season first started and it was our first time visiting West - They did not have any animals but a few goats - but i understood that they were just get ready for the season. Great donuts as usually and cute gift shop. My children enjoyed playing with the corn in the silos. Only bad thing that happened was one of their dogs ate my sons donut out of his hands read more

You can still get the same delicious apple cider donuts as the other location, so we were happy! Our three year old loved playing on the wooden train and school bus. It's a less crowded location and we enjoy going every year! read more

Rude staff, not family friendly! After driving 90 minutes to pick apples at this piddly little orchard, we politely parked our baby's stroller in a corner inside their store while we tried to figure out how to pick apples (since it wasn't clearly posted anywhere on the property). A very rude man approached me and told me I had to leave because my stroller "posed a safety hazard to their other patrons". The stroller was parked and locked in place out of the way of others - clearly not posing any risk to anyone. When we tried to explain that we were simply parking our stroller inside while we were figuring out our family's apple-picking plan, as we didn't want to leave our expensive stroller unattended outside, he held the door for us to leave and told us we "needed to learn how to follow the rules". I will never spend a dime at this establishment, and encourage any families looking for a pleasant, family-friendly apple orchard to look elsewhere. read more

Have been here a few years in a row and always have a great time. Apples are delicious as are the donuts! Love the animals on the property. Only problem is you have to buy a huge bag of apples in order to pick- you aren't allowed to pick in smaller quantities. read more

This place is iconic for fall. My family and I have been going since I was a kid and now its a great place to bring my own. They had pony rides which the kids seemed to love. We took a quick ride through the orchard on a tractor with a wagon. This place definitely has a lot to offer, and it is quite easy to spend a good half the day there. This has been our 3rd trip so far this year, and I would definitely recommend going during the week if you wish to shop and partake in the stuff in the barn. read more

This place is wonderful! I have come here for years as a child and now I bring my own family here! My kids beg to go almost every weekend. They have wagon rides, pony rides, many other activities for my kids to do! We also love the apple picking and of course the AMAZING apple cider donuts! Every time my kids beg for an apple cider slushie, they are so refreshing! Their barn is so clean and relaxing to shop in as well. We look forward to every fall to visit!! read more

Just took my kids out to the orchard this weekend and we all had a blast! We had to get our donut fix and some apple cider to wash it down. The kids loved playing outside in the play area.
