I wake up, every single day, still amazed that I live in this house. That we own it. That my kids get to grow up here. It's so supremely perfect for us. And we never would have found it, if it weren't for Edward Ross.
Having a real estate agent you can trust is invaluable, especially as a first time home buyer. To be able to put your faith in someone you just met, it's a gamble. You need someone who has your best interest at heart, someone patient and focused, someone smart and savvy. We hit the jackpot.
When you set out to buy a home, full of hope for your future, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the serious weight of the decision ahead of you. It is a much more complicated process than we ever imagined, and we would have been absolutely lost - if it weren't for Edward Ross. To have someone so knowledgeable to help you navigate through the neighborhoods & viewings & mountains of paperwork made everything so much easier, even fun.
Edward has a way of making things seem easy, and translated every detail of the home buying process into a language we could completely understand. I went into this imagining that I'd be confused & certain things would just go over my head, but with Edward as our translator, it all made sense.
He paid close attention and understood our preferences, to the extent that he became able to know how we felt about a property before we even spoke. He knew what we wanted, what we needed, and what made sense for my family. He talked us into things that would benefit us, and talked us out of things that could cause issues down the road. His expertise helped us narrow our sights, among countless distractions, to be able to focus on finding exactly what we were looking for.
He was professional but personable. He handled every aspect thoroughly, stayed on top of every detail, but he was also easy to be around for several hours, several days in a row. It was like hanging out with a good friend who is really, really skilled at their job... and their job is helping to make your dreams come true.
He understood the neighborhoods we looked at and knew which were safer, newer, nicer, with the best schools, and within our price range. He knew which streets -and which sides, on which blocks, on those streets- were better than the last. His knowledge is absolutely to credit for landing us in a neighborhood that is phenomenal, a neighborhood we are truly proud to live in.
His experience gave him the ability to look at how a house was built, decorated, & maintained, and he would decode what kind of future issues could arise with that property. It was like he had x-ray vision into the history & structure of any element, and he used his super power to give us insight on issues we wouldn't otherwise see. He was HONEST (perhaps his best quality) and would tell us outright if something wasn't in good shape, even if it had a pretty facade. This saved us from almost choosing a home that looked nice, but would have bankrupted us with necessary repairs. He saved us from making bad decisions a couple times, always respectfully giving us all the information & letting us decide how to proceed. He would guide us, but was never pushy or insistent.
He treated us like we were his only clients, even though I know we weren't. He told us we could contact him any time, with any questions or requests... and when we did, he never acted as though we were an inconvenience. He was available as quickly & as often as we needed, always prepared and ready to help however he could.
Even after we signed, his support continued, he offered his assistance in any recommendations for work needed on our home. His trusted contacts did great work for us, and it eliminated the stress of finding random people for repairs. If Edward trusted them, we did too.
My one year old son, Milo, joined us on our search for the perfect home, which added additional stresses & considerations to the process. I expect that many real estate agents would be annoyed or feel encumbered by a baby tagging along on such an important mission... however Edward Ross handled it with total patience & grace. He was polite and friendly to my kid, and never made it seem like his presence was a bother. Edward treated Milo like he was his client, too. That our whole family's happiness was his priority, and that -of course- Milo would be a part of that. And THAT, to me, was really one of the most impressive aspects of our whole experience.
Overall, we are so incredibly impressed and thankful for our time working with Edward Ross. He was the best possible guide I could imagine for our home buying adventure. He is amazingly skilled at what he does and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I -not only- would recommend his service to anyone I know, but we will definitely be seeking his business again when we need to buy or sell in the future. Thank you so much, Edward, for helping my family to find our perfect home. We are forever grateful. read more
