I saw Bailey Johnson-Rae…read more When I walked in, the provider was messing around with the three other women at the front of the office. Fine to an extent, but not very professional either. They were discussing tattoos and playing around when I was sitting fairly close to them. I described my complaint to the provider, and got the response of what do you want me to do for you? Uhm.... Well, I told you what problems I was having, which meds I've taken already to try to help it, and which I had not. Finally, she decided that there was a few options for medications that we could try out. It was more so stated to me, and then decided entirely by her, rather than a collaborative experience or discussion about my care. I didn't feel like I was a part of the decision, and the whole experience in general was so disappointing. The med that was prescribed has MAJOR interactions with two meds that I take every day. I was not made aware of this fact by the provider, but rather told by the pharmacist who insisted on meeting with me when I went to pick it up, due to the major interactions. When I reached out to her/her medical assistant about it, and to ask to switch to one of the other options she told me about, I got the response that it's fine to take the original one prescribed, because both meds are PRN. When in fact, the two meds that I take that have a major interaction are not PRN and are taken every day. I know that they could see the instructions for those prescriptions in my file, because they had turned to their computer screen towards me to confirm what meds I was still taking and which ones I was not. They didn't even talk about or address the request switching to another medication in their response. By this point, I was so disturbed by the whole experience that I didn't want to keep fighting with them via messages, because I had decided that I would not be returning. It's unfortunate too, because the office was nice and clean, and the location was convenient with ample parking. I was looking to switch to her as a primary care. Hopefully this experience is just a reflection upon that one provider, and not the practice as a whole, but I almost feel like I would be reckless and to return to her and try again.

And Dr. Dale, I can't speak highly enough of him. Dr. Dale is more than informative about what is going on, with your symptoms. And welcome Dr. Dale to West Lake Hills Victory Medical!

Very disappointed. This was my first time going to BSW. I went in to BSW for my regular yearly…read moreblood work recently (december 2025). I was very specific about what blood tests I wanted to do. I was given a zero estimate, meaning my insurance would cover all the tests and I would be billed $0.00. However, I was billed $323.58 after about a week. I called the office and spoke to Lamitra(rude cust serv) Veronica(rude cust serv) and ultimately I was routed to Katie(billing/escalations/coordinator). In the most simple way, I tried to explain, to all 3 individuals, that any medical office I have ever been to in my entire life, has always told me what I will be paying out of pocket and what my insurance covers. However, at BSW, they(lamitra, veronica, katie) all told me they don't have a clue what the insurance covers and I would have to call Blue Shield myself to find out. I was dumbfounded. It's very simple, either lamitra/veronica or kaitie simply need to check my specific plan with Blue shield, see what it covers, if there is still confusion, they(lamitra, veronica or katie) would need to get blue shield on the phone and ask them specifically. Problem solved. All 3 individuals said that they "don't do that, the client(me) would have to do that". You mean every single time I go into BSW I will also need to take time out of my day to Call Blue shield, hold for 15 minutes for a rep, and discuss what they cover and what they won't?? who has time for that?? IN A NUTSHELL: PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AT BSW, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING OUT OF POCKET BEFORE DOING ANY PROCEDURE,BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO IDEA I paid the $323.58. It wasn't about the amount, it was about the principal. YOU DONT GIVE SOMEBODY A ZERO ESTIMATE AND THEN SAY "SURPRISE, YOU STILL NEED TO PAY OUT OF POCKET". Also messaged the specific Doctor I saw that day which was Doctor Pena-Delgado. She never even replied. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional primary care facility where professionals work. Wish I could give zero stars.

Dr. Rasor has been my personal care physician for over 15 years. I can say unequivocally that he…read moreis the best doctor I have ever had. He is knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and most importantly, empathetic. I first met Dr. Rasor when he was affiliated with Premiere Family Physicians in Westlake Hills. I followed him to ProCare and then to Village Medical. Each move was necessitated by his desire to provide patient-centered care in a practice that could offer optimum healthcare to his patients. MDVIP has finally given him the opportunity to do exactly that. I am able to get same-day or next-day appointments. When I call, I can reach his office directly and speak with his medical staff. There's no call center with agents that have zero medical knowledge and are merely relaying my message to the doctor's office only to get a response 48 hours later. I even have 24/7 access to his cell phone. When I text or call his cell phone, I receive a response within 15 minutes if he's not immediately available. Recently I had a situation where a test result came back abnormal. I was terrified. Dr. Rasor explained everything we were going to do to achieve the best possible outcome. I use the pronoun "we" because when you join MDVIP you take control of your own health. It's a collaborative effort between you and your physician to do what's in your best interest regarding your future health. Fortunately, everything turned out well. However, I know I could not have gotten through that 2 week period waiting for test results without Dr. Rasor walking me through it. I sent daily text messages. I bombarded him with questions. And I'm pretty sure I texted him several evenings well past 10:00 PM. Through it all, he had the utmost patience with me. He never once implied that I was bothering him. He was never abrupt with me. And he never once talked down to me. He calmly gave me clarification and peace of mind. He truly understood what I was going through and was determined to assuage my anxiety and fears. I will be forever grateful for his care and compassion during those 2 weeks. I could never put a price on having his medical expertise and caring bedside manner literally at my finger tips. Which brings me to my final thoughts on the MDVIP model. Yes, there's a cost for service and care such as this. It's approximately $48 per week. That may sound like a lot to those of us who only visit our doctor's office 4 or 6 times a year. However, in addition to the above mentioned benefits, there is an executive physical that is done once a year that includes early disease detection, extensive bloodwork, advanced imaging, cancer screenings and specialized testing. These tests go well beyond the standard yearly physical you receive at a doctor's office. This more than pays for the cost of an MDVIP membership. I don't look at this as a membership fee. I consider it an investment in my future. A future that is much healthier and happier due to the excellent healthcare I continue to receive. If you are frustrated with the direction your present healthcare provider is taking, I suggest you definitely consider the MDVIP model. I guarantee you will not be disappointed nor will you ever look back. When I visit Dr. Rasor, he spends well over an hour with me answering all my questions and concerns. He makes sure I leave his office feeling confident that I am living the healthiest life I can possibly live.

I was so desperate for help I decided I would try to ask to borrow money for that appointment and see if I could find different help going forward. If I couldn't borrow the money, I was going to cancel. I just needed help that badly. I was shocked when they charged my debit card several days before my appointment with zero warning. $600 is a lot of money. It took my entire paycheck. I've never been charged days before an appointment for any psych. I called the office in a panic for a refund because all my money was gone. I canceled my appointment. I was disappointed that the people in the office didn't really empathize or seem to care. They were very "whatever" about it. They finally said "sorry about that" at the end of the call but it was emotionless and felt like a disinterested shrug. It's now been 8 business days and I still don't have my money back. My account is overwithdrawn. That is very stressful on top of really needing mental health support right now. I just don't know who can afford $600 out of pocket. Next time, please warn someone they will be charged days before their appointment so they can plan ahead. And please show more empathy.
