I had my first visit to Dr. Moon's office. We are new to town and I was looking for a great dentist to start afresh. I was very impressed with the office staff, their professionalism, as well as the immaculate cleanliness. This is the kind of place you want for a doctor's office- especially a dentist! With my crazy schedule it is very hard to get to the dentist, and I have to fo when I can. Tuesday night I had either lost a filling or broke a tooth. I contacted Jen at the office and while they had a full schedule she was able to shuffle things around and get me in. A new crown is in the cards for me! The dental assistant and the dentist were nice, but the Front Desk were misleading and manipulating. I repeatedly said no X-ray due to I'm pregnant, just normal cleaning via phone, text ms, in person. But they kept pushing it each time even on the day of the appointment. They even put it on the bill while I didnt do it. I had to double check to have them remove the costs. They were like "I dont know why she put it there". In addition, I walked in a week before my appointment to check and made an appointment, and provided them my insurance name. Before the appointment, I provided insurance info to make sure I'm covered because I have 3 free normal cleaning a year. They called my insurance and told me "You're all set". I was under the impression that I would be covered. Ended up charging me because apparently they are out of network. This one was on me because I trusted them so didnt check with my insurance (They said they treat their pts like family. Lol). In their defense, I was in fact "covered", it was just not 100% covered. Really really manipulating and misleading. Really hard to find an ethical dentist place nowadays. read more

Jennifer, my teeth were not so messed up, your past hygienist did my cleanings for a while, she and the doctor always told me how good and healthy my teeth were and I have never in my life had gaps between my teeth. Right now I have two gaps in between my teeth that are around .5mm on top and close to 1mm at the bottom of the teeth, the space at the bottom of the teeth looks round, like a circle round. My 3 front teeth hurt when I drink cold to hot drinks and one is cracked. The truth is that your new hygienist did a very bad, irreversible job. Neither you or the doctor will know because you never asked to check what she did. And the truth is, that is the reason of my review. She messed me up and you guys did not stepped up to correct what she did wrong. I really liked you and the doctor, it is just bad that the new hygienist could do such a mess in my mouth and no one at the office be accountable for it. And now I have to live with this teeth issue. The past 3 years I had trained myself to only smile with my mouth closed due to unfortunate events with my previous dentist. The increase of Zoom meetings only highlighted the flaws (and my insecurities). I actually enjoyed when masks became a thing, because I was able to hide my teeth when I talked in public. The top row of my teeth were not only misshaped, crooked, and varying shades of yellow bonding-My right front tooth was cracked up the tooth root. I am so grateful for Dr. Moon-he understood the assignment! He not only addressed my issues from a cosmetic viewpoint, but also long-term health of my teeth moving forward. I wanted 10 veneers across my top teeth and whiten my bottom teeth to match. With the color of the veneers not being too white or opaque (e.g. don't look like Chiclet gum), as I wanted them to look as naturally white as possible. In addition, I wanted to ensure my teeth shape fit my smile. He was able to have the veneers made with the 'transparent effect' I was looking for, along with having the shade be a naturally bright white. Now for the teeth shape-this is a game changer. He was able to aesthetically see the best shape for my mouth shape and movements. Now my smile looks more youthful-as my teeth are elongated & less squared/flat at the bottom. Most (pleasant) surprise, there is a slight lift/volume to my mouth area. I never realized how much of an effect a strong bridge structure has vs a weak one on someone's face shape. For lack of better wording, the shape he created makes the lower half of my face prettier whether or not my teeth are showing. On the customer service front, Dr. Moon's team is amazing! His coordinator, Jennifer, worked closely with me to ensure I was comfortable & informed in every step. She understood the traumatic experience I went through with my previous dentist and really made me feel comfortable to trust I was in talented hands. I had to travel to my corp. office right after getting my teeth done and it now has been a solid month. They are feeling great, as if they have always been this way. Nothing feels loose or painful when I chew. In fact, I needed no downtime after this. I took Tylenol for a day and I was fine. Having Dr. Moon and his team working so diligently to have my new smile perfect before leaving means so much to me!! It is the first time in years I don't have the nagging thought in the back of my head, "are they staring at my teeth?" when I'm talking. Now I know if they are staring at my teeth, it's for a good reason! At times I forget and I catch myself not smiling out of habit. It's such a great feeling to remember my teeth look amazing now and I can smile and talk confidently! Not to sound cliché, the only real regret is not getting these veneers sooner. read more

This was probably the most gentle and thorough dental work I have ever had done. Everything about my visit was pleasant, from start to finish there was nothing that stood out as anything less than excellent. But considering the circumstances, so much could have gone wrong. A dull aching in my mouth turned into a full blown emergency overnight, and I needed a good dentist asap! I called a few local places hoping to get a same day appointment but couldn't get one within the week. My sister told me that I had to see Dr. Ed Moon. She raved about her experience and would not relent until I made the call. I spoke to the most caring staff (Jennifer) who really went above and beyond to make magic happen for me. She even directed me to the patient forms online so I could get treatment as soon as I arrived. I raced over from Rowland Heights to Mission Viejo to see Dr. Moon. I had an emergency root canal but hardly felt a thing. The equipment was state of the art so I never had to leave my chair or even lean over to uncomfortably spit. I can't put into words how grateful I am to Dr. Moon. A close family friend referred me to him after my dentist of 10 years tried to fix a crown that she had put on incorrectly. After two attempts, my dentist stated that she wasn't able to crown it and that I needed to lengthen my crown. This was a bloody procedure in which a periodontist had to cut my gums to make the crown fit. I was very distressed especially after she stated that I might have to just pull out my tooth! During out first appointment, Dr. Moon assured me that he would be able to crown it, which he did effortlessly. I highly recommend Dr. Moon for his expertise, professionalism, and integrity. I HATE going to the dentist. I've had so many disastrous dental experiences in my life that the simple idea of going to the dentist makes me sweat. My wife had some work done at Dr Moon's office and she urged me to go. She said to me, "This is different, they really understand and care." One of my teeth began to bother me, so I finally broke down and decided to pay him a visit. Let me tell you, I've been to a half dozen dentists over the years.. and none ever figured out why anesthetics weren't stopping my pain. They would pump my mouth full of em multiple times and basically just decide that I was just making it up or hallucinating. They would say that the "pain" i was experiencing was simply "pressure". YAH RIGHT... ARE THEY ME?! CAN THEY FEEL WHAT I FEEL?! So I really thought that perhaps I was just some strange anomaly that felt pain when it wasn't there.... it created a deep rooted fear of going to the dentist and I let my dental hygiene degrade over the years... hence the cavity. Dr Moon began to fill a cavity and the second i felt "ANYTHING" he stopped and actually tried to understand what I was going through. He then realized that the "textbook procedure" to stopping my pain wasn't working. He spent some time, never rushed... until he figured out just how to keep me from feeling anything. I NEVER knew it could be so painless and pleasant. Never in my 30+ of visiting the dentist have I ever had such a pleasant and painless experience. I still remember halfway throughout he procedure... I realized it really WAS NOT GOING TO HURT... so my body finally relaxed and I just half dozed off. The other really cool thing was the way he put me at ease. He would explain what was going on and what he was doing in a soothing voice. His staff is wonderful and very caring and understanding. Root canal made easy! I have taken our family to Dr. Moon for some years now. Luckily, we had been major problem free thanks to the check ups. The hygienist is always gentle and thorough. My 4 y.o., at the time, had a couple of cavities that Dr. Moon took care of so easily. My kids love him! A week ago I bit down on something weirdly and, a molar I had problems with for decades, flared up and only got worse. I expected a cracked tooth that would have to be pulled. Dr. Moon was able to save it, do 3 roots, and get me better! I love the fact that he always asked if I needed some more 'juice' to make me comfortable. I initially went to Dr. Moon through a friend's recommendation several years ago. It's quite a drive for me, but I don't mind at all! The entire experience each time has been extremely pleasant. If you've ever experienced tooth pain, then you know the importance of having a good dentist. I recently had excruciating pain in one of my teeth. I tried to withstand the pain for days until it became unbearable, and I couldn't take it anymore. I am new to his practice, but I felt like a VIP patient.
