Wow! Dr.Lazer and his staff are gifted. And when I say Dr. Lazer is generous, I mean he is generous. I won the winning bid in porcelain venners from an auction on my favorite Christian radio stay 95.1 fm. Dr. Lazer donation was super generous, it was a blessing to me and 95.1. I had such a complex about my teeth, I had a chip, spaces and I did not like the color. Dr. Lazer was gentle and the process was smooth. This has definitely helped to boost my self esteem. No way is Ed Lazer a cosmetic dentist. Can't even be labeled a general dentist. Doesn't know the first thing about veneers. He has tunnel vision so all he sees is $$$$. Very poor chair side manner. I caught him in several lies. When questioned about the disappointing work he performed he became irate and confrontational. He did not stand behind his assurance. My front tooth chipped on the bottom edge and instead of replacing it Sheri filed it down. Looks hideous and continues to chip off. He also damaged two perfectly good teeth while placing the porcelain veneers. He said the damage was already done and visible on my X-rays. When I asked to see the X-rays he called me into his office and informed me I was not to return to his office. I basically threw 15,000.00 in the trash. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Edward Lazer at Advance Dentistry and Cosmetics starting 8 years ago, I had major work done and was pleased with the results. During my initial visit, I was told that they would submit a claim to my insurance to cover some of the cost. However, we never received any notification from the insurance company about a claim being made. I didn't follow up on the first claim because I knew that most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance. Recently, I returned to Dr. Lazer's office for additional services. During the appointment, Sheri (Dental Assistance) recommended a procedure that cost $1400. She assured me that they would submit a claim to my insurance company to cover part or some of the cost. This influenced my decision to proceed with the procedure. I gave them my insurance information and paid for the first part of the procedure, with the understanding that a claim would be sent to the insurance company after the first treatment. At the second appointment, I paid the remaining balance and was informed by another staff member (Sherry Financial Coordinator ) that the first claim had already been sent and that they would also submit the second claim. After three weeks of not hearing anything I contacted the insurance company to inquire about my claim and was told that no claims had been submitted on my behalf. When I informed Dr. Lazer's office (Heather) about this, She said they tried to submit the claims but were confused about how to do so because of the type of insurance I have (Delta Dental) and wasn't sure if the claim went through. I was surprised by this because I had previously used the same insurance provider during my initial visit to their office, where I was told that claims were initiated on my behalf and just assumed that my visits would be covered. In an attempt to assist with the claims process, I obtained the necessary information from my provider to submit an online claim and provided it to their office. When I followed up, I found out that no claim had been submitted again. After several calls to their office relaying information from my insurance provider on how to submit a claim on my behalf, I spoke to Heather (Patient Care Coordinator) and provided her with the address, websites, and phone numbers in which they could contact my provider directly for guidance on how to submit my claim. I was told that this information would be given to Diane, who had a better understanding of their system, and that she would submit the claim. I called the dental office the next day to follow up and spoke to Diane, who was unable to explain to me why my claim could not be submitted. I asked several questions, and Diane became irate and loud speaking in informing me that my insurance provider was not in their network,and I should find another dentist who would accept my insurance. I should have been informed of this at the beginning of this process. This conversation happened while I was at work, and my coworkers witnessed the exchange. I feel that I was deceived by Dr. Lazer's staff into believing that some of the cost could be covered by my insurance, only to find out that they never submitted any claims. When I questioned them about the missing claims, they became unfriendly and rude. I paid over $16,000 for their services, and I am very disappointed in how I was deceived and treated poorly. read more

Having an implant done. I have little confidence to complete the procedure because the doctor has a disregard for my pain. Went in for a simple stitch removal. Before he started I said I am still tender there. He did not comment on that issue but asked me to sit back. He then proceeds to take out my stitches jabbing me so hard that I screamed in pain. His reaction was to say 'dont give me a moving target.' I am now afraid to go to this practice to finish my implant. They already have my money and I am afraid to get the procedure from this practice. read more

Got a partial denture from Dr. Lazer about 13 years ago, which I LOVE. Paid 5000.00 for it CASH. I saved up for that 5000.00, I'm an older, divorced woman and I NEVER have 5000.00 extra. Went back recently to see about having a tooth added to the partial because I was about to lose a tooth. Was treated sweet and kind and told how cute my outfit was UNTIL they found out I wasn't interested in spending ANOTHER 5000.00 INSTANTLY, based on the recommendations of the receptionist/sales assistant. She made me feel terrible because my financial situation wasn't the same. I was damn near thrown out of the office, she HUSTLED me out FAST. The WHOLE atmosphere CHANGED....AND they thought I couldn't see the difference or that I was so stupid that I would spend 5000.00 based on a compliment of my outfit. I cried in my car because of how I was treated....I called a dental lab and they advised that they could add a tooth to my EXISTING partial for 150.00. Unsettling experience. I was taken in and quickly rushed into x-rays before I even saw a dentist. I expressed my concern about getting them prior to speaking to a dentist, I was told "not to worry" by the assistant. Then walks in a dentist, named Dr. Doroshenko. I was there for a crown replacement, instead he said that he refused do the job unless I let him do several teeth (6+) because it would be too hard to match a new crown to my other teeth, I was shocked! Refused? Extremely unprofessional. I committed to nothing and as I left, I was handed an estimate of $12,000- $14,000 and told that they had financing available. I wish I could give this place no stars. Here is how everything went down: 1. I made an appointment and I heard the front desk girl say "who is going to take her? Anybody want her?" Terrible first impression 2. The Dentist, Dr. Lazer who I had an appointment for didn't even do my consultation. His "assistant" did and it was very rushed. 3. I asked for my options and all she said was veneers. I don't need veneers I have perfectly fine teeth but again this must be a product they get paid to sell and I wasn't there to buy it. 4. I was told to sit with the financing department to see if I qualify for veneers I didn't even want. This place is a cash cow. I ran away fast! 5. They charge $1800 per tooth for veneers and no discounts. Understand, after the appointment I did research on veneers I didn't even want just to see if they were selling was above the market price and yes it was. Veneers go from anywhere to $60-$1700 per tooth 6. The office staff seems like a girls clique. Nobody wants to work they just want to talk about lunch and ego their dating. I don't want anyone like that near my mouth. I want them to be focused not distracted My advice find another dentist who has time to do your consultation and not send their assistant. After searching around town for a reputable dentist with whom I felt confident, I finally found Dr Lazer. After receiving a complimentary consultation in a timely manner, they decided to send me out to do root canals and come back to do the crowns. He even said he could do two in one day. Now that's impressive and time efficient for me! They scheduled me with a dental hygienist for a thorough cleaning who did a great job around my sensitive teeth, even giving me topical anesthetic for my sensitive gums. I highly recommend this great office. They have an in office membership and the prices are like other dentist offices I've been to. Keep up your great work and Thank You!!! read more

Overall I have to rate this dental practice as a 5 star facility. Below are my reasons for the rating... Facility: Exceptionally clean and well maintained. The office uses modern dental equipment and offers music, television, or engaging conversation to pass the time during treatment. In general I would classify this as a modern facility. People: Beyond services themselves I would say this is where the office shines. Everyone from reception all the way through to treatment and administration seem to be happy and there for you as the patient. Everyone is friendly, upbeat, and funny yet carries a distinct level of professionalism I want from someone cleaning my teeth or running high speed drills in my mouth. Scheduling: This office is pretty popular and always busy, but no so much that it's impossible to get a reasonable appointment time-frame. I like the fact they can make accommodations for emergencies. I received a next day appointment when I called for one (briefly described below). Service: I have been to this office 4 or 5 times now for issues ranging from general cleanings to emergency checkups caused by smashing my front teeth with a wrench... long story. At any rate the entire team is thorough and extremely responsible when it comes to billing and avoiding unnecessary services. Unlike other offices I have never had to contact my insurance company to dispute a charge or call billing to walk them through a correction. Service Continued: Beyond the exceptional staff Dr. Lazer and Dr. Rafat are exceptional Dentists. My understanding is they are both highly skilled and well trained but that means nothing if it doesn't translate to something I understand... in this case it does. To try and shorten this a bit ill sum it up by saying they have a knack for making things painless and simply beautiful. Whether receiving fillings, fixing chipped teeth, or setting up veneers I can honestly say treatment has never caused more pain than it was intended to resolve. On top of that the work is just beautiful... more like art than anything else. Cons: I wish this office expanded into pediatric dentistry. I would take my children to Dr. Lazer in a heartbeat. I guess that isn't really a con though. Summary: Great people, great service, great facility, exceptional quality.
