I am absolutely clueless when it comes to auto insurance jargon and the staff worked collectively as a unit to explain everything and answer all my questions about no fault and full coverage. They were extremely patient with me and my lack of understanding. I love how the entire office felt like a family and didn't hesitate helping each other to help us accomplish our goals! They were able to help us find the most discounts possible and get us the best possible rate. Working in customer service I left this office feeling a bit envious that my own office environment isn't this inviting or family orientated. It was truly an amazing feeling. The tax person, Jane Saclot, was very pleasant at first and seemed to be doing a great job. Unfortunately, all the went out the door as Jane seemed to get frazzled and disoriented. She corrected a mistake that I pointed out to her and that was the good part. As the clock was ticking, Jane seemed to demonstrate very passive-aggressive behavior. While it's hard to say what one is dealing with in life, it is my belief that we are to put aside all personal challenges when we are at work. Sadly, Jane didn't seem to be able to do that. While the location, staff and schedule were great at the H&R Block Waipio office, I will not be going back to have Jane prepare my taxes. I don't need to be paying for passive-aggressive behavior. I can get that for free on my own! LOL! Dennis Smith at the H&R Block Kapolei office is the best! Unfortunately, I was too lazy to drive there and ended up scheduling with Jane at the Waipio office. Moral of the story: drive to where the service is good and the passive-aggressive behavior is at a minimum. Plus, gas prices are very low now so driving should be no issue. There comes a time when each of us has to serious contemplate if we are in the right industry. If we are not happy and efficient at our job, then it's time to consider other options such as career change, retirement, etc. We are not necessarily bad people, but perhaps the job isn't the right one for us. Since we had used TurboTax, we chose to have professionals review the letter to verify if we had indeed filed incorrectly. We went to a well-known company first, only to be told they would not look at anything other than 2020 taxes until sometime in March. Since we had to respond by March, we had to look elsewhere for assistance, and fortunately came upon Jackson Hewitt. Even though it's busy tax season right now, our letter and 2018 taxes were reviewed within a few days. Although it turns out we did file incorrectly and had to take action, we truly appreciated the thorough and timely handling of our issue. They knew we were anxious for the outcome, and although they, too, could have said they were only focusing on 2020 taxes right now, they took on our request for help and expedited their review.
